What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: The woofers will blow in a couple of weeks. Nothing but a headache.
These studio monitors were nothing but a headache! When I first bought these I brought them home and they sounded terrible! The woofer was already blow right out of the box. I brought them back and got a new pair and they were great for a couple weeks and then the woofers went out again! I thought KRK was supposed to be the best but these things suck!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

These speakers are the best I have listened to!!! I had M-Audio before and they were okay, but the Rokit speakers are perfect for any type of music!!!!
Just be sure to purchase a interface to change the volume and cut down the static. Steinberg CL1 is a good match!

What's not so great: It needs optional grills.
I have been involved in high end stereo to bedroom systems to guitar amps and speakers and home recording. The KRK's, particularly with the 6 inch woofer, are simply outstanding speakers for the price. If you have your music on computer, purchase a pair of these with a DAC (like a Presonus Firestudio or Audiobox) and you will have an outstanding home stereo without needing to purchase or find space for other equipment. For home recording (or powered speakers), there is no competitive speaker in this price range.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: size and sound
This speaker packs a big punch for being so small. I purchased it for my boyfriend who uses it when making music but doesn't want to be as loud as the larger speakers we have are. They are still loud enough to get the result he is looking for, but smaller for spaces that do not need really large speakers.

What's great about it: easy and great sound
These don't even need a sub, they have plenty of bass to kick hard with any music. If you're having a house party, or using in a studio to record. Very nice.

These speakers are some of the best home studio monitors i have ever heard. I started with the m-audio studio montors and returned them for these. They are expensive but are worth it. If you havnt heard them go to your local BestBuy Musical Instruments Store and give em a listen. I DARE you not to leave the store without them!

What's great about it: Sound Quality, Build Quality, Features
What's not so great: Rear power switch is hard to get to in a studio enviorment
This is an amazing monitor for the price, I use this monitor with my Digi 002 Rack and love them. Very even sounding, GREAT for mixing music.
Would buy 100 time over.
