this album made me cringe alot the beats and the lyrics this album when it got released was already put into the bargin bin this is by far one of eminems worst efforts yet this album is on par with that weak album called encore which is also by eminem

my older brother did not like this album for lots of reasons eminem was still rapping about his mom which is a lame subject matter and a pathetic excuse for a song my older brother only liked one song on this whole album and that song is called beauitful in the end tho he told me the whole album was one big epic fail

when you really think about both relapse and recovery are both in the same league as metallicas 8th studio album st anger relapse and recovery were rehab albums they had to be made both relapse and recovery are both the worst albums ever made in 2009 and 2010

I heard this album so many times that I lost count
What's great about it: Almost every single track you can feel the real Slim Shadey
What's not so great: Only 2 tracks I really hate which are Crack a Bottle, We Made you and Beautiful which doesnt represent the real album

this album along with Bang! Pow! Boom! are the best cds of 2009/2010 this album is seriously amazing from begining to end along with icps cd Bang! Pow! Boom! rocks my socks off if you do not own this cd or Bang! Pow! Boom! you are truly missing out on two great amazing albums by two amazing artist/group

The CD basically falls right in line with all his previous CDs only now that he has proven to be a good artist he seems to be continuously pushing the limits. I personally enjoy the CD, but others who have heard it thought it was quite messed up as far as lyrics go.
I will still say that Eminem is a lyrical genius. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless they have listened, and liked, eminem before.
What's great about it: Good lyrics as usual, some catchy background,
What's not so great: Very dark, ominous, and twisted

This cd was kind of good when i first got it, but then like a bubble gum it started to lose flavor. Eminem has so much more potential but i hope the next Relapse isnt as sour as this one

IN MY OPINION: eminem has mastered his flow.. his punctuality, his witty punchlines..his ability to literally say whatever he wants and find a way to not only rhyme but do so in such an intricate manner. Throughout his albums there has been a constant improvement. even though encore was not my favorite album.. it still demonstrated his genious ability to make u laugh and still wonder how he manages to break syllables and construct some of the most advanced wordplay from any commercial artist. For those who disliked the album..i would presume that u could probably find a lame collection of elementary hip hop albums on their shelves.. This deserves to be recognized as one of the greatest Hip hop albums. Commercial & underground.
hip hop is not dead.. this is evident in this album.
What's great about it: the whole thing
What's not so great: could not find one bad thing about it

after a long while eminem finally returns i was expecting this album to be alot better then his first 2 studio albums this album ends up being super weak and uber lame and still his lyics are childish eminem started going downhill when he made both encore and the eminem show this album was a waste of time and money but hey at least icp makes way better music then eminem does and also icp is way more orginial then eminem Bang! Pow! Boom! blows relapse outta the water

The beauty of Relapse is the fusion of Eminem’s styles from his four previous albums. Let me first say that I own every Eminem CD (other than his greatest hits; no need). He is one of the few artist whose albums I buy before I ever hear a track. With each album, his lyrics and production grew. That was until this album. It sounds very average both in lyrics and production. I was really looking forward to this album but found it very disappointing. I don't know if it due to the death of Proof or having gotten over a drug habit (again). Either way, this album is a far cry from the Enimem I have come to love over the years.
What's great about it: Three Songs
What's not so great: The Rest

Eminem's first album in four years proved that the 90's most controvercial rapper doesn't need to brush up ono is skills. The album is very dark and rather than hating on the world Em discusses his ownfaults and blames himself (and partially his mom) for his problems. Em's blend of humor and seriousness makes for a very entertaining album. The best tracks are the ones where he takes himself seriously, though(My Mom, Deja Vu, beautiful). Others where he disses on celebs (Tonya, We Made You) are forgettable. There are also some very disturbing tracks (3am, Insane) where he talks about serial murder and molestation. These are kin of hard to listen to but catchy nontheless.
What's great about it: Classic Eminem doing what he does best.
What's not so great: There are some tracks that are forgettable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This Eminem album is back to being on top for the rap game. I mean every time I hear this album it gets better and better. He and Dr.Dre are what hip hop needs every few years, and they did it again with this great for the ears album. Get it! You'll Love it!!
