What's not so great: it’s slightly unbalanced
"The beauty of Relapse is the fusion of Eminem’s styles from his four previous albums. The evolved wordplay and borderline horrorcore imagery of the Slim Shady LP, the pop-star-bashing and pill-popping banter of the Marshall Mathers LP, the soul-bearing honesty and precise flow found on The Eminem Show, and the playful accents Em dabbled in on Encore are all encompassed. With Relapse, Eminem has reminded listeners what captivated them about him 10 years ago and what held their attention for the subsequent six years. The vibe is fresh yet nostalgic—the ideal arrangement for a successful comeback. Em's new album is a potent product, its time we all relapse."

What's great about it: Three Songs What's not so great: The Rest
"Let me first say that I own every Eminem CD (other than his greatest hits; no need). He is one of the few artist whose albums I buy before I ever hear a track. With each album, his lyrics and production grew. That was until this album. It sounds very average both in lyrics and production. I was really looking forward to this album but found it very disappointing. I don't know if it due to the death of Proof or having gotten over a drug habit (again). Either way, this album is a far cry from the Enimem I have come to love over the years."

What's great about it: Classic Eminem doing what he does best. What's not so great: There are some tracks that are forgettable.
"Eminem's first album in four years proved that the 90's most controvercial rapper doesn't need to brush up ono is skills. The album is very dark and rather than hating on the world Em discusses his ownfaults and blames himself (and partially his mom) for his problems. Em's blend of humor and seriousness makes for a very entertaining album. The best tracks are the ones where he takes himself seriously, though(My Mom, Deja Vu, beautiful). Others where he disses on celebs (Tonya, We Made You) are forgettable. There are also some very disturbing tracks (3am, Insane) where he talks about serial murder and molestation. These are kin of hard to listen to but catchy nontheless."

"This Eminem album is back to being on top for the rap game. I mean every time I hear this album it gets better and better. He and Dr.Dre are what hip hop needs every few years, and they did it again with this great for the ears album. Get it! You'll Love it!!"

What's great about it: It's truths which make it awesome What's not so great: Nothing
"Bought album! My own personal take on it: What Em say concern these which be wicked behind scenes. As in, they could be family members kicking up poisonous dust to faces or putting drugs in food. Plus, Em describs: Bush, the 43rd former president, got diced up back in Dec.; Obama never made it to be 44th president since he got food poisoned back when on a HI vacation; How Obama enter in/Bush leave out White House thing was all an advanced done gig; How the devils or fake saints come into White House being next of the Kennedy family. Prophecy encoded by the dual tone. Buy the album!!!"

What's great about it: A lot of tracks/power in the lyrics/stories in the lyrics.etc. What's not so great: Sojme songs are kind of boring.
"This CD was long overdue, but Eminem had to get clean. He admints that he had a drug problem, which I think was a very brave thing for him to do! This CD is very powerful & well worth owning & playing over & over again!"

What's great about it: beats What's not so great: the way he raps
"It seems like he is trying to sing the rap instead of actually rapping the lyrics. I don't mind change at all and I think that most of the time its for the better. Although in this case it really makes it hard for me to listen to. I like the song beautiful, but still the whiny rap just doesn't do it for me. To each his own i guess."

What's great about it: Eminem's lyrcis What's not so great: Too many celebrity references
"This is classic Eminem. He is simply a lyricist. If you listen to his lyrics, they are amazing and he makes words rhymes that you don't even think can rhyme. In today's world, most rap albums feature many artists in order for their album to sell. Eminem only has Dr. Dre and 50 on his album. My favorite song is Deja Vu, because it tells a story and the lyrics are ridiculous. I definitely recommend this album to anyone who likes hip-hop."

What's great about it: All the tracks are good and he kills alll the beats with the lyrics What's not so great: 50 and Dre are the only cameos on the album
"The album is very good it`s the best he has done so far and all the songs are very good he puts you in the world he expereinced when he went to rehab and the thoughts that were in his mind and all the things that he did while he was away from rap he came back and did it again with his lyrics and delivery ofcourse he put his best friend in his lyrics and you could tell that what happend was hard for him to deal with and get through hopefully the next one will be as good as this one or even better !!!"

What's great about it: Good Price for a classic, immense lyrical content, best CD out this year What's not so great: Not his best cd, some beats sound too familiar
"Great CD! The lyrical content was intense, as usual. What else can you expect from the lyrical genius? Eminem finds new ways to reinvent himself time and time again, and is a master of his craft. The only drawback from the CD is the reiteration of beats or “how it sounds,” of some of the tracks. "Beautiful"-track 17, sounds like mockingbird a bit. But Eminem is the last of a dying breed; Artists who have shaped the game as much as he has with lyrics and the purest form of the art as oppose to catchy beats and corny dances. His delivery on every track seems different from the last one in sequence and is invariably different from his last cd all together. I would certainly recommend purchasing this cd as it is the best bang for your buck this year. @ 9.99, this cd is a steal. Amongst the most considerable reasons to purchase the cd, is his in-depth look at his addiction and his rehab, hence the title “Relapse.” Most people were not aware of this and Eminem discusses this intricate part of his life. He still maintains some of the Hollywood bashing from his past cds which I feel is quite appropriate most of the time. He is keeping the game in check. Perhaps he will be able to revive hip hop from its proverbial synthesized and bubble gum slumber."

What's great about it: Non-stop Eminem at his best.
"I don't know where to start. Not to often do you get a CD that is start to finish worth listening to. They are very rare. Most of the time you purchase a CD, pick out up to 8 tracks of the 12 or so, that you consistantly listen to. Replapse feels like a greatest hits compilation. Everything is there: his mom, christopher reeves, hollywood idiots. This is Eminem at his best. If he isn't at the top of everyone's best rapper list, this CD just put him there."

"Em's wordplay is on full assault in the Relapse LP. Deja Vu and 3 AM are by far the best tracks on the album with Old Times Sake not being far behind. Cannot wait for Relapse 2 to hit the scene later on this year. Not having many features made it much better."
