"this is my second lcd. I just thought that it was time for an upgrade. anyway, the TV is pretty shiny and has a clean, crisp, picture even with standard cable viewing. the sound was ok, but I really don't use the audio on the TV since it's connected to a home theatre system. the set up was a breeze and the features are amazing. the one thing I didn't expect/notice when I got the TV home was how glossy the screen is... it creates a lot of glare, but fortunately it's not that big of a deal. my old LCD didn't have a glossy screen so I just wish the screen wasn't so shiny. overall it's an awesome TV."

"I am posting this as information to would be buyers of Samsung LCD TVs. They have no variable audio out. I just bought the 46 inch Samsung Series 7 750 and discovered to my astonishment that I could not use the Samsung remote to control the sound level on the sound going to my amp and external speakers. I thought I had done my homework reading several reviews and test reports before I purchased my LCD, but never ran across this major drawback. Had I known of this issue I would definetly have purchased the Sony XBR9 instead. The Sony also has the less glare reflecting screen and allows variable audio out.
If you are not expecting to control your audio from the Samsung remote then this will not be an issue. However if like me you expect to be able to control your sound through your TV's remote like you did on your last TV (a Panasonic in my case) then you will most certainly be disappointed."

"I'm not going to lie. I got this as an open item BUT the previous buyer had just returned it that day. Best Buy confirmed nothing was wrong with it, and I got the extended warranty. The best thing? I got it for $1,300...TOTAL!! That included the TV, warranty, and HDMI cord. Considering the original price is $2,300, this was a steal for top of the line TV.
The picture quality is simply awesome. I love the 240hz picture stream, it looks like a home video. I have never seen the depth of picture of movies like this ever before. The black depth looks amazing and it's easy on your eyes. The best quality that I like is the multiple connections this TV has. You can connect HDMI, your laptop, and it has a built in internet connection and not to mention mutliple features it has.
The only thing not going for this TV is the probably the sound, but hey it's a LCD, so speakers aren't the cream and butter. I plan on buying Samsung home theater system, which will compliment the TV nicely."

"The resolution on this TV is so good, it almost seems 3D - you are right in the room with the crime scene investigators, or on the field with the players. You can see the beads of sweat on the their faces in their helmets - no joke. The remote is great and very intuitive. We set up our cable box/recorder, DVD, and Apple TV in minutes. The premium HDMI cables are expensive but worth it - do yourself a favor and do not skimp on cheap options - I did side by side and could notice the difference. The on-line gadgets might be nice, but we use the Apple TV which is the way to go - online access to all kinds of content - movies/TV (through iTunes), radio (free), etc. There is an annoying blue light that is on when the TV is on, right near the base, but that is easily turned off through TV settings. Other than that - no complaints whatsoever. We have had this unit for about a month, no problems yet - however I have read that there may be issues with a Samsung after mfr warranty over, so I got extended warranty. Also got the Geek Squad option, where they come out and fine tune - have not done that yet. This is supposed to make the colors more realistic, given room environment - impressed by demo in store, but can't imagine how it could get any better."

"This is a slim, great looking television with remarkable picture quality when used with HDTV. I am a female and had to set it up myself (cable guy said he wasn't allowed to "move furniture"). It weighs about 46 lbs and was fairly easy to set up on the stand unassisted (though I would recommend having help because of the price of the TV). It would be a shame to use this set wiithout the high definition option cable and satellite offer as the picture is incredibly sharp. I purchased the Samsung BluRay DVD player with this TV and have really enjoyed using them. Best TV I've ever owned. I never buy the "protection plans"offered with electronics, but would recommend doing so with this TV if it covers damage to the set due to power surges, lightning, etc because of the sensitive components (unless your homeowner's insurance covers such things). And be sure to protect it with (at the minimum) a surge protector."

"This was my first LCD TV. I waited a long time to get an HD TV and did a lot of research before I purchased this TV. This TV has just as good of a picture as the LED TV's at a lot lower cost.
The picture is absolutely perfect, especially after customizing the settings. I didn't want to pay Best Buy to calibrate my TV and instead found settings for the tv on cnet.com which makes the picture look even better.
The only minor gripes about the TV are the speakers don't sound good, but I wasn't expecting great sound. To truly experience the picture, you really need a surround sound system so I'm not worried by the TV speakers. Also, it's a little pricey, but if you watch for it to go on sale you can actually get a pretty good deal. I was able to bargain with my local Best Buy and got an additional 10% off."

"I waited two years to purchase my first HDTV, I only pay cash. I did research the entire time as technology changed and features were invented. I read reviews by experts and users alike to ensure I received a balance of information. In the end it was between SAMSUNG and SONY. It was the ability of the Samsung to display more scales of gray as well as blacks than the Sony that made decision for me. An identical video on both TVs showed an actress in a sweater. On the Sony the sweater was black, on the Samsung the sweater was a gray argyle with multiple levels of gray. For the price range it has the best quality picture. After 6 months it looks as good as it did when I purchased it. It has lots of connections and I am using about half of them, included an Apple Mac Mini. I use the Mac to access online content that I cannot with the built in network connection. It gives a great picture. The only issues I have with the TV is it's sound. The sound lacks a depth. It feels like listening to the speakers of a laptop. I plan to purchase a surround sound system but until them I use my stereo system. The other issue is the widgets. It's nice to have simple Internet widgets to access weather, news, and similar information but I would like more control over what I see. I would like to search for news not just read what they think I might like to read. The have added new widgets recently including streaming videos from Blockbuster and Amazon, but I have not tried them yet. I hope they listen to suggestions and improve the widgets. Would I purchase the Samsung again? Absolutely."

"Picture quality on the TV is really good. Blacks are really deep. Picture is sharp and clear. Great picture uniformity. The blacks are almost as good as some LED sets. There are lots of options to tune the picture in the menu. Now on with the bad stuff. The sound is not as great as my previous TV. The sound does not sound full. I've tune the setting, but I cant get that oomph I'm looking for.
Just like the previous reviewer, I too had the buzzing noise after owning it for 3 months. It first started as a little buzz that lasted for a second or two during random times.. Then it got worst and began to happen every time and last from 4 to 6 seconds. I did not buy the BB warranty, so I had to use Samsung's warranty. They fixed it in two weeks after going through two new power supply boards. The first one was DOA. They said it was the power inverter was going out. All in all I had great service from Samsung, and the repair people. The TV is the BEST despite the problems I had. After looking at some current sets and sets that my friend's own, the LN46B750 still triumphs."

"This TV has an incredible picture, great clarity, processing, blacks look great, very sharp. The TV itself has a great design, all back with a black swivel stand. Features online are a little weak but I am sure things will be added to these selections, and I purchased a Sony Bluray DVD player with TONS of internet connectivity that makes up for the gap here.
Only problem I have experienced, upon turning the set on, a strange buzz or fan noise is very obvious. I returned the first one I got thinking it was a problem with the internal power supply...it stops when the picture comes on and only lasts during warm up. The next set I got did not do this and I was very pleased...for 32 days! Just after my 30 days was up this one began to do the same and I cannot return/exchange. If I had to do it all over again I would most likely pay a little extra and get the Sony XBR or the Z series... Don't get me wrong...this is a great set but I anticipate the power supply failing or internal fan possibly...not sure what makes that grinding noise but i do know that it should not sound like that! I did get the BestBuy extended protection program and I am glad that I did...hopefully this won't be a major issue and Samsung has a simple fix, if I got TWO sets that do this then chances are a LOT of them do this..."

"We love this tv. We had a hard time choosing when standing in front of the wall of tv's in the store. But I knew we wanted a Samsung. We had a Samsung 55" projection screen tv that still had a beautiful picture, but the thing was mammoth and took up too much room away from the wall. For those that say that the picture looked horrible when you got it home, an HDTV looks terrible on a regular satellite receiver--you must upgrade to an HD receiver because that is what it's made for!! We upgraded immediately after bringing this tv home and don't regret buying it a bit!"

"I was in Best Buy getting a new plasma to replace my old panasonic plasma, the salesman talked me into this 240H LCD tv. I got it home and immediately missed my old plasma tv. Every action scene was a little blurry. I took it back, and returned it for a panasonic plasma tv with a 600H refresh rate for less money. I think LCD/LED will eventually be the standard, but right now, nothing beats a plasma!"

"We own 4 Samsung LCD TV's and this time was gung ho on trying plasma. Only settle for the best and all the reviews for plasma was gearing toward Panasonic. Walked into Bestbuy and started to compare the top of the line plasmas I researched and next thing you know I walked out with this Samsung LCD - I could not be happier- the picture is even better than in the store and as many of you know how difficult to make a decision when there are sooo many georgous TV's on display.
Samsung is off the chain in picture quality- definitely recommend going all out for HDMI cable as it truly is the only way to go and this set with a new Samsung Blu-Ray and I am loving my decision and felt so strongly about this TV that for the first time felt it necessary to write a review.....
By the way happen to get it for 1399- literally there is not 1 online source that was lower than this price and as a silver rewards card holder it was a no brainer as the tv listed for 2200....."

"I bought this LCD to replace a 37" REGZA 1080i set in my bedroom. With minimal adjustments, the picture quality is breathtaking in this non-videophile's humble opinion.
I can't comment on sound quality, since it has had the speakers turned off since I got it and is hooked up to a 5.1 surround system.
My only gripes, minor as they may be, are the wall mount bolt pattern and lack of any really useful functionality for the internet connection.
The 400 x 400 VESA mount pattern requires a very large wall mount, considerable overkill, IMO. This 46" LCD weighs about 5 lbs less than the 37" it replaced, but needed a mount that's twice the size of the one I had.
The available widgets, etc. that come with the TV are pretty weak. Hopefully Samsung will beef them up in the future."

"I bought this TV after reading multiple reviews and just went for it. I'm glad i did this is a wonderful product. The picture is amazing and the 240hz makes even the fastest shows or movies look good. I can clearly see the picture from every angle i can find. The only thing that is inhibiting the picture being even better is comcast's inability to broadcast in 1080p. With that said our blu-ray movies look so great its like the actors are coming out of the tv. The sound is pretty good too."
