What's great about it: The picture quality is exceptional; it's ability to reproduce deep blacks is very good, as is it's color rendition.
What's not so great: The remote is a bit fussy if you're off center from the screen and the sound is average due to typically small speakers.
The Samsung was easy to set up; I had things connected within about 10 minutes. The video quality is excellent, and I'm impressed with the adjustment capability and the fact that the settings are memorized individually for each input. There are tweaks galore for audio and video, so it takes some time to familiarize yourself with the many capabilities. The audio quality is average due to the smaller speakers necessary in a flat panel, but better than I expected. I would definitely recommend an external amplifier and speakers if you want sound that will match the picture. I have not yet connected the TV to my home network, but that task should be quite straightforward, and there are a number of "widgets" available. I also liked that the manual for the TV came on a jump drive that can be plugged directly into the USB input on the television. The "software" manual Is laid out pretty well and will familiarize you with most features fairly quickly. The television's overall appearance is nice as well; it looks very high-tech and is quite streamlined. My living room space has a lot of ambient light during the day, and the Samsung's picture quality still looks good in this brighter space; it's the reason I went with an LCD display.

What's great about it: picture is amazing, plenty of easy hook ups
What's not so great: when connecting home theater, you can't mute the whole sound system with the tv remote, only the tv.
Just a great product; only one minor downfall that may only concern me because of the location of my sound system, as I stated above. Also no S video is a little odd, but not a real big deal.

What's not so great: sound is decent, but needs some enhancements
Even my service provider tech was impressed by the pic quality! Couldn't be happier with the HD quality! Sound is OK, just not great. Secondary features require more attention than I have patience for, but should be pretty simple for any tekkie. Initial set-up was easy. Really sweet set for the >$1500 price range!

Picture is incredible. Can't comment on the sound, as that is going through a receiver. Easy out of the box set up. Picture was fine out of the box, but after setting to cnet's calibration settings, looked even better.

What's not so great: The sound seems low at times. It might be just the station that you are on.
Right now I have an issue with lines going corner to corner. When we got it it was a perfect screen and clear, but now I see lines in the picture. I will be calling to find out soon.

What's not so great: sound quality is not so good, but its better than other HDTV
This is my first HDTV at home and I really love this one. Its a dream come true for me to have HDTV in my bedroom. I'm watching blu-ray movies and HD channels with high picture quality and ok sound quality. Samsung has always do good in picture quality and with 240hz its unbelievable. This is one of the great product I ever bought from Best Buy and Samsung.

compared to the lower end LED backlit LCD's, this look identical in picture quality. Plus the 240hz doen't hurt either!

What's great about it: Clarity, Rich black and white, No motion Blur, As close as you can get to LED
What's not so great: Bad power Supply, takes a while to turn on, buzzing noise from the bottom corner when starting
This tv is the closest thing you can get to a LED TV. The picture look like they are almost 3D as if people on tv are in the room with you. The clarity is unbelievable. No motion blur at all. BUT....DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BUY THE PROTECTION PLAN.
Now the bad parts...the "ultra clear panel" doesn't seem clear to me at all. In fact it seems like there is more glare on the tv because of it. The biggest problem I see is that the tv makes a clicking noise when the tv turns on and off. And now its starting to buzz. I've only had the tv for 3 weeks and it was out of the box like that. The tv also seems like it takes longer and longer to turn on...and reading other people's review I am guessing its another case of a BAD POWER SUPPLY. No worries though because I bought the 4 yr protection plan...so buyers beware that eventually your power supply will fail and you have these symptoms and SAMSUNG is not fessing up to their mistake.

We waited along time to get on board with a flat screen tv. After much research we decided on the Samsung LN46G750 as our first. The picture quality is great even when the show is not in HD - easy to use - so many little extras built into the tv that we are still learning. Great for the PlayStation 3 games. We have no problem with the sound - it is great. We did purchase an extended protection plan through BB "just in case". We are sorry now that we waited so long to purchase our first flat screen. We were lucky to pick up a real good sale price which just sweetened the whole experience

This is the best ratted TV for the money. After extensive researching using several consumer sites, this one came out at the top in my price range.
I can even plug my notebook computer into it an get superb picture quality.

We've had this TV 2 + years and it started clicking when you turn it on. It will click 5-10 times then finally come on. Called support, and Samsung is aware of the problem--they installed capacitors that are not large enough to turn the TV on. The fix is easy--just pay $300 for a trip charge, plus $400 to repair. If you are adding this up, you see you can now buy a new TV for not much more. A bit of research on the web reveals the part is about $10. Samsung should step up and fix the problem. I spent an incredible amount of money on this TV 2 years ago. I don't consider it disposable. I will not buy another Samsung product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this is my second lcd tv. had a sharp aquos 42" for almost 3 years before it developed screen problems. thanks to my extended warrenty, i was able to replace it with this model, which was on sale at the time. the picture on this tv is far superior to my previous tv. every person who has come to my house has mentioned what a great picture it has!!

I had researched HDTV's for about two years and was set on a Sony.
However, after learning that Samsung built the Sony screens I started to pay more attention to the Samsung. When we finally decided to buy, the Samsung just out performed the Sony. I am extremely pleased with ALL aspects of the performance of this LCD. It has great picture, easy to set up, has enough features to meet all my needs but not so many that I get confused. Great price for the overall HDTV you get. Highly recommend this model..

Very easy to set-up. Love the color adjustments and how true they are. I love a cool setting and all I can say is WOW. I thought this was a led tv b ut glad it isn't now. Very satified with this Samsung model. Have always been a Sony person but not now. I would recommend it to anyone.

What's great about it: everything looks great on this TV

The picture is very smooth, clean and clear with a variety of content sources used- HD and Standard.
This TV was a lot of fun to setup and I kept tweaking the settings. You can find other peoples user settings by searching online. This helped me get a starting point. I personally keep my Dejudder setting [a setting inside the automoation 240hrz] between 3 and 5. If this setting is too high - the picture will look too clear which is fun for a while and friends get a kick out of it but you don't want to be destracted by how clear it is.... or do you???
Blu Ray is unbelievable on this TV. Transformers the Movie looks increadible and that is one Movie inparticular to try out different dejudder settings. Maxed out it looks like you are there at the SET when they shot the movie. But when you see the robots in front of you its really something else. You can see all the textures and it feels like you can reach out and touch them. But like I said before - I prefer a lower setting because it feels better to me.
I felt when I bought this TV that is was the very best Samsung LCD you can get before going into LED. and I didn't want to mess with the LED versions yet because I think they still need to mature a bit!?!? Plus I read some mixed reviews on them.
My final conclusion after owning this TV for about 2 months is that I would definately buy it again!

BB helped me pick out this tv as well as other components to build my affordable yet killer home theater system. I am very happy with my tv. The picture looks great. The SD channels looked better than my old projection tv.. When you look at the HD channels, you will notice a big difference. The blu ray player I have makes BR movies and dvds look outstanding. The only real problem I have is I wish the tv would have come with built in wireless. If you watch a lot of HD channels, this tv is for you.

I've never really seen an LCD tv until we went to make our purchase. When we brought our tv home, I thought the picture was a little weird. It looked like I was watching a play. I'm still adjusting to the differences between this great LCD tv versus our old analog tv. This tv is great for gaming on our Wii and PS3--I love how our games look.
This tv is so clear that sometimes the people on the screen look like they're in the same room as us.
I like the fact that I can actually control the mhz, the contrast, and darkness features.
Everything is easy to operate on this tv. Hook up was easy, too.
The only thing I do not like about this tv is the response time between the remote operations and tv actions. When I press the power button, I expect an immediate response and an understanding that the tv is on or off. But when I press the power button on the remote, the tv doesn't give accurate feedback as to whether or not the power is on or off.
Sometimes when I turn the tv on, there is a buzzing sound that comes from the lower right corner, where the power light is located.
We bought it for $1299--I think that's a great deal for a tv with this much to offer.

What's great about it: The Samsung 7 series TVs are incredible and better bang for the buck than an LED!
What's not so great: Nothing so far.
I have owned this TV for about a month now. I already owned a LN52A750 so I was very familiar with the picture performance on the Samsung 7 series LCDs. This TV took it to a new level, the A series were 120Hz and this one with the 240Hz makes the picture even more incredible specially when watching sports. I compared the picture quality with the LEDs side by side and though the colors were a bit brighter on the LCDs, the price differential did not justify buying a LED. The widgets are a wonderful addition to this TV over the A series which had some internet connectivty but was limited to weather, news and stock prices. The widgets for flicker are awesome as you can see all your pictures on the TV that you have stoed on Flicker, also you can stream movies from Blockbuster and Amazon straight to the TV, no more waiting for the mail to deliver movies or to drive out to the store to rent one! This TV is now obsolete as Samsung announced in early February that the C series will be coming out and they have 3D TV on their 7 series now but if you want to take advantage of the price being lowered now that they are obsolete, you can probably get one for about $1200.

This is a awesome TV. I have owned it for 3 months now and 100% satisfied with it. The picture quality is exceptional. It displays crisp and sharp images with vivid color. The numerous settings available to adjust the picture are so easy to use and really let you pick the best settings for what you are watching. When watching HD shows/movies, my wife complains that the picture is "too real", if there could be such a thing.
I primarily use this TV for video gaming (XBOX 360 and Wii), movies and as a second monitor for my PC. It is perfect for all applications.
Also, the fact that this TV can connect to the internet and allow to download widgets for Amazon, Blockbuser, YouTube and Yahoo just makes the experience even better. I recommend springing for the wireless dongle instead of hooking up LAN cable.
Hands down, this is the best TV i have ever owned and would highly recommend to anyone, especially if you are wary of the new LED TV and the so so feedback they have been receiving.
My only issue is the speakers. They are mounted in the rear of the TV and are of medicore quality. This can eaisly be resolved by connecting to a sound bar or surround sound system. Though, if you adjust the audio settings, you can get decent sound for TV and videogames.
