I had my xbox get bumped while I was playing a game scratched up my game good enough to ruin it. My xbox wouldn't play any discs after that giving me an error code to clean my discs. I poped this in and ran it twice through and now everything works again! Saved me a hundred bucks in repairs! Defiantly worth giving it a shot if you are considering it!

I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Easy to use

What's not so great: It wasn't free.

Very simple to use. Thought my CD car player had failed. Used this and in less than a minute, no problem.

i had recently had the INFAMOUS OPEN TRAY ERROR,it wasnt reading any discs at all.popped this badboy into my xbox and after a few tries it finnally read the disc..once the cleaning was done my xbox was back to life playing all my games in fast time.highly recommend this to people having problem with there xbox 360 and dvd players!!!

I would recommend this to a friend!

The recording feature of our DVR was not working properly. After reading on the internet to try a laser lens cleaner, we did. To our surprise the DVR is back to working perfectly.

I have been fighting with my 5 disc DVD player for a while now just to be able to play a movie. Always froze, skipped or just would not recognize the DVD. Had become very frustrated. I bought this product and used it. Now I have no more hassle trying to watch a movie. Worked well for me the 1st time.

What's not so great: I returned before I got it home

I didnt know that it wasnt the one that could be used on all dvd/cd's.... as in the car ( what I bought it for) and then returned it right after I went out and was really looking at the things that I just got.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Saved me from replacing a perfectly good 5.1 Sony Dvd player

What's not so great: Almost gave up thinking it wasn't working

Like someone else had written in their review, it’s most likely going to take trying it more than once. I would have to say that I ran through the steps about 5 times when I was about to give up. I had all the print outs on the latest DVD players Best Buy has and was just about to grab my car keys and go get one when I thought I would try it one last time. On my last try, I began hearing the audio come through the speakers, then my DVD player turned off on it’s own displaying a dirty disk message. So I tried again, and the next time I got further into the track than before and it shut off again. I kept repeating these steps several times. You won’t see any video with this product, just audio. There are several tracks in different languages. You go to track 1 and you hear music with instructions to skip ahead to track 5 when the music stops. My problem was that it took several times before my DVD player would read it. Good luck!

What's great about it: It works!

What's not so great: Instructions on packaging.. discard packing, lose instructions.

These things are NOT SUPPOSED to work. You know, spend nearly $20 bucks and then go buy another drive. IN MY CASE IT WORKED!! I have a mac G5 with TWO DVD drives, both drives would read and play -- but, NEITHER drive would write discs any longer. I ran the cleaning disc (has 6 tiny brushes) and followed the instructions: very easy to do – about 5 minutes per drive. Now BOTH DVD drives are writing discs again!!

I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: BENT CLEANING BRUSHES BECOME STRAIGHT

What's not so great: AVOID CONTACT WITH OTHER SURFACES

IF BRUSHES BECOME BENT WHILE ACCIIDENTLY CONTACTING OTHER SURFACES, DYNEX LASER LENS CLEANER SKIPS IN TRACK ONE. PLACE DISC BACK IN CASE AND DO NOT USE LENS CLEANER FOR A WHILE; BRUSHES WILL BE BECOME STRAIGHT AGAIN.

HAD PRESENT CD PLAYER IS MORE THAN 8 YEARS, STALLS MIDWAY WITHIN HIGHER NUMBERED TRACKS. DYNEX LASER LENS CLEANER DID NIOT FIX THE PROBLEM.

ORDERED FROM BEST BUY ONLINE 5-DISC CD PLAYER WHICH WILL BE EXCHANGED FOR 6-DISC CD PLAYER AT A BEST BUY STORE.
