What's great about it: It does work well with my Echol.
What's not so great: The ink does not last very long. I hope that Livescribe does something about this.
The ink does not last very long, which means a extra cost for this Echo.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Writes smoothly, easy to replace cartridge.
What's not so great: Availability, hard to find in stores.
Two ink cartridges lasted one semester of note taking for 5 college classes. Writes smoothly, little to no ink blotting. These are the only cartridges which will fit the Livescribe Pulse Smartpens as far as I know. No generic brands. It was tough getting them at the store due to inventory replenishment system they use. However, after several trips to the store, I consulted the manager who ordered them on-line for me and had them shipped to my home. Yea!!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Compatible with Livescribe pen, easily replaced
What's not so great: Ink doesn't last as long as it might per refill
These work OK, I've had one pack which behaved as the other reviewer noted, but the other two packs have been just fine. I'm on my 3rd year with Livescribe 1GB pen and surprised someone hasn't jumped in with an aftermarket ink refill for this line of Smartpens.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Easy install
What's not so great: Drys up quickly
These refill cartidges start out strong but dry up very quickly. I attend six one-hour lectures and take a moderate amount notes each week. By the end of the week my cartidge needs replacement. The only reason I continue to buy this product is that I have a Livescribe Smartpen and this is the only compatible ink cartidge. I hope Livescribe will improve this product for future purchasing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
