What's great about it: Thought I got a deal for $50.00
What's not so great: Inefficient
The Honeywell HCM 350, #6 rated in Consumer Reports Jan 2011 issue, worked about TWO weeks here in New Hampshire where it can be below ZERO overnight and high only in the teens in the dead of winter. I have base board forced hot water heat and it severely dries me out overnight to the point I cannot breath and wake up. Even when it did seem to work - I bought a hygrometer - humidity reader- and it never really went above the 30-39 percent, in my small 1 bedroom apartment. Over all, I was better off just showering with the bathroom door open to moisten the air. Any how, after two weeks, the machine stop drawing water from the jug all together, only the fan spinning. Returned it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Nothing really for this price
What's not so great: Low output, noisy, not easy to use
This is somehow the best reviewed worst Humidifier I have owned. First off to even start using it you need to wet the internal wick which is inside the case. For it to keep working that wick cannot dry out.
It is basically a loud fan with a tub of water. Usually that type of humidifier costs around $30, this one is double and for the 3 speeds it has, the only quiet one is the lowest one which does not work well.
For the output of something this big, 3 or 4 gallons a day would be good. This one does not even empty the 1 gallon container. Some say great because they do not have to fill it. But why have a humidifier if you don't want to put moisture in the air.
The UV feature only works after extended use. So it would be great to actually have moisture coming out of the unit after extended use.
They offered me a replacement, why? This one worked exactly as designed, very poorly. I cannot believe all the good reviews on something that does a little more then nothing.
If you are in this price range, find an ultrasonic unit that really works. If you want less then 1 gallon a day output, get a cheaper model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Quiet and efficient
What's not so great: poor case design
This is a compact, quiet humidifier that is perfect for a bedroom or home office. It is easy to operate and easy to refill. I particularly like the UV disinfection feature.
My only complaint is that the top and base of the humidifier are not connected, so moving it requires picking it up by the base. If you don't, you get a big mess.

What's great about it: sound
This humidifier works great and is very quiet. We bought it for our infant daughters room and have been very pleased. We started out with a cheaper model and it was very noisy and dirty.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: It's so quiet that sometimes at night I check to see if it is still working
What's not so great: I would love to see a humidity indicator, but I knew it wasn't there when i was buying the product
the humidifier is great. It works very quietly. I set it on low and uses half a tan per night. I read other reviews about the product and there were complaons about the shape and easiness of use of the water tank. Yes, it is not the easiest solutiion in the world, but I have no trouble filling the tank. The product is eat for the price, and I bought it on bestbuy.com which was 10% cheaper than in the store. Store pickup was super easy and very convinient.
I would recommend this to a friend!
