What's great about it: Very solid router that measurably increases the performance of a home network
What's not so great: 5GHz band sounds great in the description but really is not necessary
This is a great router. As with all Netgear products it is incredibly easy to set up. I had it up and running within 15 minutes. I really liked the idea of the 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels running at the same time to increase the overall wireless transfer speeds. I have a wireless G Mac and looked around for usb adapters that could give me that dual-band functionality. It turns out that they can connect on one band at a time. Netgear sells a usb adapter that can run on both bands simultaneously but it is only for PC's. Just keep this in mind if you are trying to upgrade an older Mac. Otherwise the speeds are impressive. As part of purchasing the router I upgraded my home network to gigabit and it is an amazing speed increase. I have an NAS so the upgrade was necessary in order to achieve the maximum file transfer speeds.
Overall you can't go wrong with this router. Just consider purchasing a less expensive Netgear wireless N router that doesn't have the 5GHz band because you will probably find that you do not need it.

What's great about it: Dual band n router reaches throughout the office.
What's not so great: No template for wall mounting.
Installed behind a modem. Took a whole 5 minutes to be up and running. Wireless speeds sustained throught out business! Mounted on the wall easily. Can't go wrong with this bad boy!

Was looking to replace an older Netgear because it kept dropping my connection. This one is was faster and has never dropped. Wireless game play, streaming videos, etc. works great

What's great about it: Great speeds and long range wifi for most office space and most meduim homes
What's not so great: could use just a little more wifi power Really big homes it would reach all the way across home
Used for many differnt locations all are working great and have good wifi for small business to meduim business. I would not recomend for very large home or maybe one that you have to go though many floors. Great wired speeds and the 10 or so i have used all work great and had no problems with as of yet.
I have also been using one with a magic jack connection and haven't had any problems with it either.

What's great about it: Easy set up, Dual band, gets the most out of your Internet
What's not so great: Nothing
I bought this router for my Apartment because I was not happy with my ISP's router. The router was getting lost in the fray with all the other routers in the complex, so I went and got this dual band router and it works perfectly. No problems when gaming on Playstation or Xbox and it streams video beautifully. I was expecting a long and tiring setup, but to my surprise it was quick and easy. I definitely recommend this router to everyone.

I love my high tech items but and not that very tech savvy. I did a lot of research online before going out and buying this one. It was supper easy to install and works great. I haven't had any drops or lag in any of my electronics.

What's great about it: Ok performance
What's not so great: WIFI DOES NOT WORK WITH WINDOWS 8
I'll just cut to the chase, this router is NOT COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS 8. You will get a dropped connection after about 10 or 20 minutes or it will say limited to no connectivity. The netgear genie app is about useless as its only solution to any problem is to disconnect and reconnect the router which will work only for about another 10 or 20 minutes then you will disconnected again. It's very annoying when trying to steam movies and what not. The range is average and the same as a $40 router, not worth the price. Wireless G routers work great with windows8. This router is compatible with windows7 and below.

I tried a modem, router combo and had nothing but problems. I did some research and paired this router with a Motorola SURFboard
SB6141 and WOW ! Couldn't ask for more ! Great network setup !

Purchased to use for my home office and for providing wireless connectivity to my PS3. Works great as I am able to connect multiple devices to this router without a slow down in speed. Also works great for Madden online.
