What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Everything
I bought 2 because they were on sale and so cheap. Wrong!
Consider this, take the model number and search for it on SKIL's website at SKIL.com. They don't even acknowledge creating this 'masterpiece' of engineering. I am guessing they licensed their name to someone. Neither of mine contained a manual whatsoever.
The long and short is the design makes it fairly easy to use both bubbble levels to make a plumb line on the wall. It uses a beam splitter to make the line (as do most). To get a horizontal line you twist the entire level sideways on it's tripod in an awkward manner to turn it on it's end (because the beam splitter it either engaged or not engaged and does not turn at all). It all seems like it should work, but in practice, it will not make level lines. My guess is that the beam splitter is not plumb with the body of the device. Even when the bubbles are leveled, it's clear the line is not even close.
On the other hand, the cats do love it. I think the maker posted that comment so their cheap useless product could show a 5 star rating. If I could give it less than 1 star, I would.

My cats love to chase this thing! We have crazy fun together! I'm thinking of taping this to my cat and turning it on! She'll have crazy fun while I'm out of the house. Love you Mittens!
