What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: interferes, doesn't connect internet
I've had this Monster for awhile and haven't had time to look at it because of work but it interferes with my tv, turns it on and off and freezes. It blocks the internet signal on the cable modem when it's turned on, what a waste of $50.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Works well and a no-brainer to install
What's not so great: Price a bit high, look for it on sale if you're not in a rush
For streaming HD video and lossless audio, wired networks are highly preferable -- might not be as convenient as wireless, but does make a big difference from a quality perspective. However, the standard 4 switches on most routers don't leave much room for flexibility, by the time you connect your PC and a network drive. And even if you had more availability on the router, who wants to run multiple cables to the same room?
Well, this product solves most of those issues. I run just one cable from the router to the living room, and then feed multiple components (e.g., AVR, BluRay) into this switch. I was a bit concerned that there might be some signal loss, especially since I'm still using Linksys E1000 router, but have seen none. I use the BluRay for streaming Netflix, and the Denon AVR for music from my PC. Works like a charm! There was no setup required, just plugged the cables in and was good to go.
Price is probably a bit high considering it is just a switch, after all -- but it works perfectly, required no effort or thought, and removed some variables, so a good buy.
I would recommend this to a friend!
