What's great about it: works as intented for remote stereo
What's not so great: nothing
I hooked this up to to my Yamaha receiver using the Rocketboost wireless transmitter. I have this connected to a pair of JBL bookshelf speakers and it sounds great. The bass is excellent with the boost option and it is almost as loud as my Yamaha 100W amp with Klipsh speakers. This is used to extend stereo into my kitchen which is about 50 feet away from my main amp.

What's great about it: Simple setup...does what it says it'll do.
What's not so great: That I can't send the signal directly to my stereo system.
I had been searching and searching for a solution. I wanted to send the audio from my desktop computer to the stereo system right behind me. This two piece solution enabled me to do just that. Bluetooth wireless transmitter sends signal to wireless amplifier that connects to my stereo speakers and sub-woofer. I also have the speakers still hooked up to my stereo system. I can only have one on at a time but it works flawlessly! Highly recommended!

What's not so great: Can't get it to work
My efforts to send music from my iMac to this device through my rocketboost wireless sender/receiver have failed. I've given up trying and am unwilling to pay $38 for help, since this is a new purchase.

What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: refuses to maintain a connection even at short distances.
Bought the Rocketfish Wireless Amp'd Audio Receiver and the Rocketfish Wireless transmitter/receiver. Connected the transmitter/receiver to a 200W stereo receiver in my house and the Amp'd Receiver to a pair of Bose 151 indoor/outdoor speakers in my gazebo about 35 feet away. These two devices refuse to maintain a connection for more than a few seconds even when I turn off all other wireless devices in my house. And yes, the transmitter/receiver is in the correct mode to be the only source. Big waste of money.

What's great about it: Easy to add surround speakers without wires
What's not so great: The maximum volume is way too low
I bought this with the Rocketfish™ Wireless HD Audio Starter Kit. It seems to work as advertised but the maximum volume is way to low. It's a shame because what would otherwise be an awesome product doesn't really work.

What's not so great: ask questions before getting this to make sure it works with your system
I am going to return this. I bought this online to use with wireless rear speakers. The online tech support said it would work but I need a tuner/receiver combo.
I don't know what the correct application is for this item.

I spent multiple hours searching the web/reading the manuals to ensure I wasn't doing something wrong, but never could get it to connect to the hub. Now I get to pack everything up and return to BB. Very disappointing. The lights on the hub and this unit would start to flash in sync, but never would connect.
Hopefully this is an isolated problem.

What's great about it: Easy setup
What's not so great: Drops sound/doesn't work
I bought the starter system and two additional transceivers and wish I wouldn't have bought any of it. I used it to stream from cable box and computer but it drops the sound frequently (and we're not talking long distances here, 15-20' through lath & plaster walls) . It is easy to setup, just not usable. I changed my computer out to a few Apple AirPort Expresses and an Apple TV which work flawlessly through walls, longer distances - of course they only work with iTunes but reliably.

What's great about it: Decent sound, when there's any sound.
What's not so great: Usually is not any sound.
Works great, as long as it's 15 feet away from the transmitter with no walls in the way. Anything else, you'll experience major dropouts, frequent enough and long enough to make you want to throw it away. Sorry I bought it. Wish I hadn't thrown away the packaging.
Anyone wanna buy mine? Half price, barely used.

What's great about it: Easy to connect, good power and sound--oh, and NO WIRES!
What's not so great: Really, nothing.
I use this to stream music from my Zune all through my house. I have two Rocketfish receivers, and this receiver/amp. THIS THING WORKS GREAT! Rocketfish should promote their products better; they would probably sell more.
I don't know how good this would work for a home theater though. If you're interested for home theater purposes, please consider the following: there is no option to select any kind of crossover frequency. Typically, surround speakers are crossed over at 80-100hz to filter out low bass. There may also be a slight delay in sound when using this receiver to power surround speakers.
ALL IN ALL, THIS THING WORKS GREAT. SETTING UP WAS VERY EASY, AND IT'S GREAT TO HAVE MUSIC FROM ONE SOURCE STREAMED ALL THROUGH YOUR HOME.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! (yes, I was yelling, really, this thing is great.)

What's great about it: *East to Install *Sound Great
What's not so great: Wish I could hook more speaksers to a single amplified receiver.
I was a bit skeptical after reading a few reviews on this product. However, my family and I own a condo in Mammoth Lakes, Ca where the entertainment center is built into the wall, next to the fireplace, with brick and stone surrounding it. I tried a number of solutions to improve the sound quality, because the flatscreen speakers certainly wouldn't cut it. I purchased a rocketfish starter kit, an extra receiver, two Polk bookshelf speakers and a basic 10' Sony sub. I hooked up the rocketfish transmitter to my hometheater receiver and the speakers to the associated rocketfish receivers, turned it on and boom. The sound is great, and unlike a couple of reviews I've read my sytem has a dynamic range (nice low end, mid-range and high end). Solved the wireless problem, and now the audio experience at our Mammoth condo is as good as the ski/mountain bike experience.

What's great about it: no wires to rear speakers - easy to set up and use
What's not so great: nothing yet...
I bought to use on my second rear speaker to avoid running speaker wire from a lone back receiver that cam with the starter kit. Now each rear speaker has its own receiver. Paired SUPER EASY -- sounds great, and there are ZERO wires running to the back or between rear speakers. Set up once initially with its volume control. Then let my Yamaha A/V control afterwards. LOVE this product and would buy again in a heart beat. If you are looking to remove all wires running to your backs, pair this with the start kit and you are golden. Great product, very stable, easy to use and sounds exactly like wired. NO loss in sound integrity.

What's great about it: very convieninet to set up a wireless network
What's not so great: doesn't work well with home entertainment speakers
The concept is great - to have a box to connect the wireless rocketfish signal directly to speakers. I installed this Wireless Amplified Audio Receiver in my living room and transferred the connection of my stereo speakers to this receiver, but when the sound came through, there were no bass notes. The speakers that sounded good with my stereo sounded like tin cans when driven by this receiver. The ad copy for this device says " and Rocketboost technology for bright, low-interference, HD audio-compatible sound." They are "bright" alright. Too bright, no depth of sound. I'm going to return this product in exchange for a repeater ( which is less expensive) so that I can connect it to my own receiver/amplfier so I can make adjustments to the sound profile. If design adjustments were made to this product so that the bass notes are restored I would try it again.
