After paying an arm and a leg to get this system installed, the next week when I turned up a particularily great action scene to get the great surround sound effects, I noticed the front right speaker rattled occaisionally. How disappointing.

Bought these speakers to replace my Sony home system. These speakers are great! Fanastic sound and compact. The speakers are on a swivel which makes them ver convient to mount and aim anywhere in the room. Only wish Klipsch made optional rear speaker stands.

What's great about it: sound quality, easy to setup using my monster cable
What's not so great: nothing with the suround speakers, but if you add there subwoofer, you may have to mount it to the floor
like i said they have great sound for there size, added the klipsch 450 subwoofer and a internet ready yamaha to round off my system in the main family room, had to use some 2-way foam tape under the floor pads on the subwoofer just to keep it from walking across the floor on its own. i have hard wood floors. the bass this system puts out makes your chair rattle, and the 4 suround sound speakers screem with audio, tried cranking it up and my nieghbors 2 doors down heard it...so yes these are speakers worth having on any system.

I have always been a big fan of the Klipsch speakers and the Quintet is no exception. I would rate these as just as good if not better sound quality than Bose speakers. Love my Klipsch Quintet speaker system!

What's great about it: Sharp looking, incredibly smooth sound

I saw these speakers months ago, and kept waiting for them to go on sale to purchase for my living room home theater. I have a set of Klipsch front speakers that I bought 18 years ago, and still sound as awesome as the day I bought them!!! Finally, Best Buy offered them for $300 off with the purchase of speakers and Yamaha receiver, so I got them.
When setting them up it is a little surprising how heavy each speaker is, because these days I get used to so many cheap satellites. These felt substantial. I have them matched with a new Polk Audio 12" subwoofer. They sound amazing. Music and movies alike are vividly rendered with the highs, and it's clear that the center that came with these is better than a Yamaha one I replaced and had purchased separately. I am very pleased, and hope to have this set as long as I have had the other set of front Klipsch speakers. When I purchase a house I will wire them into the walls for a very polished installation.

Wonderful sound! These speakers do 'pack a punch'. I have them placed in my modest sized basement (333 sq ft) and they more than take care of my needs.

What's not so great: Retail price is high, but you get what you pay for.
After doing the usual "due diligence" with online reviews I put these speakers on my shortlist. On a whim I stopped into the BB closest to my work one evening figuring I would take a look, no harm in looking right? I wasn't planning to pull the trigger any time soon as I didn't own a receiver at the time. I arrive at the appropriate shelf space and all that remains are two boxes, both "open box" specials. The first box is marked at $350 and I am thinking "wow.....good price". I look at the second box and it's marked at $246!!!.....now we have a problem. I had no intention of buying speakers today....yet here they sit in front of me for $246. I asked one of the sales guys to cut open the box (sealed with BB tape). Everything is still sealed inside...not a single finger print on any of the speakers. The manual is there, along with the allen wrench for angle adjustment and adhesive feet. In the hand they feel reassuringly heavy. They have the look and feel of a quality device. After the sales guy told me I had the exact same warranty as a "new" purchase it really became a no-brainer. I knew if I didn't pick them up for this price I would kick myself later. I took my box o'speakers home and put it away in a safe place until I had something to plug them into. Over the next couple of weeks I bought the Pioneer 1021-K receiver (paid $430 for it....deal!!!) along with the Pioneer SW-8 sub (paid $116...another great deal). Of course I really wanted the Klipsch SW-350 but was able to pick up the highly rated/reviewed Pioneer sub for a fraction of the price. Last but certainly not least I purchased a 100' roll of 14 gauge shielded speaker cable. The speakers have binding posts not spring clips so high quality speaker cable can be accommodated. The base/mounting bracket swivels on a ball joint allowing the angle to be set and locked with three allen screws. The base can be removed completely for speaker stand mounting. Finally it was time to hook everything up, fingers crossed and throw up a prayer to the audio Gods for the desired result. These speakers bottom out at 120 Htz so that's a good point to set your sub woofer crossover point, this ensures that anything lower is handled by the sub and you don't get gaps in the frequency range during playback. Also set all speakers to "small" so that low frequencies are not sent to the front, center, or rear. The last thing you need is your satellite speakers trying to handle low frequencies, they are just not designed for it. I am not going to give an in-depth audio review here, that has been covered all over the net. I used "Rise of the Planet of the Apes", "Real Steal", and "Adele live at the Royal Albert Hall" all in 5.1 surround to test my system. I am not an audiophile but I know what sounds good to me, and this system sounds awesome. The speakers handled everything I threw at them with ease from the action sequences to Adele's dulcet tones. I could easily make it feel like the entire house was shaking and still have plenty of power to spare. My system totally makes it feel like being at the movies and considering IMAX theaters use Klipsch speakers, it's hardly surprising. Obviously this isn't top-of-the-line equipment but a solid mid-range system. For the price I paid, I am a very happy camper. Now it's time to shop for a new tv ;)

I calibrated this speake with Yamana YPAO calibration accesories. Not excuse YPAO did it for me. My surprice? Nothing. A lot money for this speaker $569.00. The center speaker sound like plastic cheaper Speaker. I bought it in best buy the salesman told me that this speaker sound better thand BOSE. I dont think so.I bought with the combination subwoofer 350-SW the subwoofer excelent (i recomended) , the speaker very beautifull but for the money NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

What a fantastic sound that pours out of the speakers. Husband and I took our time finding the best sound, and compared to the Bose these were 100x better! The sound speaks for itself!

All we had to do was add a receiver and a subwoofer and we have an excellent surround sound system for a large livingroom. They're attracive and the speaker base pivets to double as a bookshelf stand or wall attachment. Sound is clear, loud when wanted, and quality-sound. So glad we found these speakers, couldn't ask for a better set, especially for the price!! They definetly do not seem cheaply made either.

I bought these for my husband and I only purchased them because they were on sale. However once they were installed, I realized that I had made a steal of a deal. They look great around the room. They are not huge and bulky but still put out serious sound. We just love them.

What's great about it: Looks, Build Quality, Power Handling For Their Size

I bought these to pair with my Yamaha RX-471 and Cadence CSX-12 Mark II subwoofer, but I was not impressed. They look really nice and are built with a lot of craftsmanship, but their sound is just too small. The center speaker makes male voices chesty and bloated. It seems like Klipsch is trying to over compensate for its size. Very weird sounding and distracting. Best Buy as usual refunded my $ with no questions asked.
If you are looking for a budget small speaker package, then look no further then 5 NHT SuperZero 2.0's, you'll thank me later!

I got these awesome speakers for $290. Have them paired with klipsch 350 sw and a denon receiver. Everyone comes to my house for movie night even though my friends all have surround sound systems. The best for the money I've ever heard.
