What's great about it: Price
If you're looking for an inexpensive set of desktop speakers,then these will satisfy your needs. Clear sound at any volume. I also like the option to plug in your ipod and listen to it through the speakers. The ONLY thing I really don't love about these are: I don't like the knob for the volume control and I also don't like that you have to use a power button instead of them just playing when you turn on the computer...Other than those two very minor details, these speakers are pretty decent.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought these to replace a malfuntioning 2.1 speaker system that included a subwoofer. I was not able to hear these speakers because of no floor models on display. I purchased on the good reviews i read, but found out the speakers donot produce much low end. I will return them and go back to a 2.1 speaker setup with a subwoofer. Ones that I can hear before I buy.

What's great about it: great sound for the money
What's not so great: the AUX port and headphone port don't work simultaneously
I have a home theater set-up in my room and I have everything hooked up to a projector; laptop, xbox, ipod, etc. problem is that the projector didn't come with a surround sound system. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get a nice sound system at the moment, so my alternative is running all my sound through my electric bass amp. I got these speakers so I can use the AUX port for the sound to my xbox, and use the headphone port to run into the speaker. Sadly they don't work simultaneously. Other than that little "defect" they are great speakers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Easy to set up, great price, good sound and they look good

Didn't review these speakers like I do most electronic purchases I make. But boy what a great buy. For $48 with a 2 year replacement can't go wrong. Got them home, plugged them in a cranked some AX7. Man did these speakers produce. For what I need, listening to music while working out, or just website sound. These things are AWESOME. I would definitely refer these to anyone looking for a low cost speaker like me. Oh and they also come with a cable to plug your mp3 into the speakers and a stand to hold it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had some reward points saved up and I needed a pair of speakers for work, so I picked these. Should I have actually forked out the money and actually paid for them, I'd still be happy. Great sounding, great size.

What's great about it: price,ability to plug your ipod directly into the speakers
What's not so great: high volume sound quality
I bought these speakers for my laptop because laptop speakers just aren't the same as stand alone speakers. The sound quality is pretty good until you start blasting your music. At higher volume levels the bass sounds funny. Overall I am happy with the speakers.

Christmas 2009 I purchased these speakers to connect to my boys Insignia 22" HDTV, the sound that comes out of them hooked up to the TV is great. We paid full price of $35 and they are very happy.
However, today 8/2/11 i went to Best Buy.com to find speackers for my new MacBook Pro and found them on sale for $18.99, i was shocked!
I checked if they were in stock and they were. I listen to a lot of music, spoken word/speech/courses, dvd's and movies on my Mac, wanted more sound/volume and these speakers ROCK!
Going back to the store for another set before they sell out. At this price, why not!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: The price verses what you get.
What's not so great: Had to play around with the sound to get the right tone for music.
I needed new speakers but did not want to pay an extreme price. I found these online on sale but they were out of stock. My local store had them. They work well and are much better than the cheap discount store speakers I had before. My daughter loves the mp3 connection. They put out a great sound. I watch movies online a great deal.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Design makes it look not so cheap, it's pretty cheap
What's not so great: Low frequency sounds pretty much end up masking the mid and high range sounds. So it sounds terrible.
I went to BB thinking these speakers would be decent. Let's be honest. $35 speakers with a fair amount of heft to them. Weight = good folks when it comes to electronic parts like these!
Alas, the decent quality at a decent price was not meant to be. When I fired this baby up .... the only sound that came out was something of a muddy mess. It's even worse without the equalization set to treble boost.
And what's this? The design makes it look like they have tweeters for high range sound. No tweeters. Not when the sound is so muddy.

Good as in not something that will be guaranteed to make your ears bleed. I'll stick to my $100 5.1 system that sounds infinitely better than these!

Great speakers. Once hooked up to your computer the music/ movie sound great, clear, and can be loud. listing to music makes you feel like your in concert. watching a movie makes all the sounds seem like it is happening in your own room.

these speakers are great for music but when the bass gets to hard and the volume is all the way up you start to hear static.not for bass playing

Didn't work right out of the box. Power light came on but no sound. Tried old speakers and they work so it wasn't the computer. Insigna (Best Buy) brand probably has fewer quality controls than other name brands. Would not recommend.

What's great about it: Decent bass, sleek appearence, great sound for its price
What's not so great: Greasy fingerprint attractor, poor sound cone needs some protection
When I got these little guys at the store and hooked them up, it was by far what I had imagined. Sure, they're not like top of line, but are very decent in sound, and at least tinny treble is not too much here. Even vibrates the table quite a lot with that bass it has on max (while testing). Very stylish, but mine is fingerprint city. The LED is quite stylish as well. Amazing sound, and one of the best things for your money.

What's great about it: Great Price, Great Sound, Attractive look
What's not so great: Nothing really. Only minor complaint is that the patch cord could be a little longer.
I just bought these and have been nothing but impressed. Granted I use them at work mainly for playing music through my MP3 so I haven't tested out how loud they are. But at a reasonable volume the music has surprising depth and bass. I have some MUCH more expensive Klipsch speakers at home, and these might even sound better at low volume. Comes with a patch cable for MP3 and a little plastic stand, that is not really necessary, but a decent add on.
I would recommend this to a friend!
