What's great about it: Cheap Trick the band. Every single song. Every lyric.
What's not so great: Impossible to find a flaw with Cheap Trick or "The Latest"
Yes, I am a life long Cheap Trick fan, however, this is as good as it gets with their Rock music. Every song is so memorable, the music and lyrics are incredibly written. "Sleep Forever" is a tear jerker for me, very somber, short song, with deep meaning. After "Sleep Forever"... it is time to Rock like there is no tomorrow... with Cheap Trick! Their Rock brand, flavor and fire will never go away... simply a must buy for all Cheap Trick and Classic Rock fans! New Cheap Trick fans have to jump onto "The Latest"!

What's great about it: The music
What's not so great: The band does not deliver the CD to you personaly
This is one of Cheap Trick's finest albums. It's sophisticated rock from true musicians. The rockers, "Alive,' 'California Girl,' and 'Sick Man Of Europe,' are smokin'. 'When The Lights Are Out,' is fun and infectious. The slower songs are captivating, like 'Everybody Knows,' 'Miracle,' 'These Days,' and 'Miss Tomorrow.' Robin's vocals in 'Sleep Forever,' are incredibly moving. He truly has the best voice in rock, like it's been said many times before. 'Smile,' is such a charmer. Loved all the songs and highly recommend this album.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Rock music and ballads at their best
What's not so great: Sold out to quick at most locations
Robin Zanders voice is better than ever and stands out on this excellent CD. Ricks guitar, Toms bass and Bun E. as always rock and compliment each other as no other band does. While most 70's and 80's bands are happy to stick with the same old stuff Trick keeps pushing the envelope and get better with age! My fav's on this CD: When the lights are out, Miracle, Miss tommorrow and These days........all little gems. The more you listen to this CD the less likely you are to take it out of your CD player. It grows and sticks on you!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: It one of the best albums I've ever heard!
What's not so great: Packaging
This is such a good album. The songs well produced and put together so nicely! It rocks hard! With both mellow and fast songs the album transitions well.

What's great about it: Catchy, well produced pop/rock songs
What's not so great: Packaging, kinda lame
Just when you think that music has sunk to an all time low, CT comes out with this great collection of singable, listenable songs. As I said, they just do it better than anyone else. There isn't a bad track on this collection. I am so glad that they still put out meaningful tunes at a time when so many of their contemporaries are satisfied with weak greatest hits and flat out bad reunion shows. If there was any justice in this world, CT would not be the opening act for the Poison, Def Lep tour. They would be the headliners. Just buy this CD and be better off because of it.

What's great about it: Quality of the songs
What's not so great: N/A
If you're reading this and wondering if you should give this record a shot, I highly recommend you do. First rate from top to bottom. You can tell they really put out an effort to make this a top notch album. For a band that's been around for a long time, they sound fresh and alive. Very melodic and catchy. It would be difficult to name the highlights since there's not a true "clunker" or any kind of filler on it. Definitely a pleasant surprise.

What's great about it: Cheap Trick at their best!
What's not so great: Several very short songs
This album was a nice surprise. I really enjoyed there last release, Rockford, but this one is terrific. Perhaps the best song on the CD is "Everybody Knows". When you first give it a listen, don't let the first track make you wonder why you should bother listening to the rest. The first track would have been best served as the last track. Even if you are not a Cheap Trick fan, you'll find yourself loving "The Latest". Don't hesitate- buy it!
