What's great about it: Easy to install and it works
What's not so great: Nothing
I've used Netgear and Cisco adapters until I got Windows 7, 64 bit. With Windows 7, 64 bit these adapters dropped the connection or failed to even find my network. After reading reviews this problem I got the Qwest Wireless-N USB 2.0. It's great, plug it in and it self-installs in about a minute. I have not had any problems at all; works great, no hangs, no problems finding my network, and great performance. Got a second one for my XP desktop and it is faster and more reliable than the Cisco adapter I'd been using.

What's great about it: Maintains a wireless signal so far, fairly easy setup
What's not so great: Weak signal strength and speed, has to be reconnected after the computer wakes up, too bulky, came with a faulty cable
I bought this to replace the wireless antenna that came with my Dell desktop. The old antenna did a pretty good job of maintaining a strong signal. The Qwest adapter maintains the signal at two out of five bars pretty much consistently, but gave me only one when I first plugged it in. Curiously, the signal strength always reads at three bars before I connect to the network, and then it drops to two. The adapter hasn't dropped signal yet, which is a point in its favor, but signal strength and speed are weaker than what I'm getting out of the four year old laptop that is sitting next to the desktop. Both machines are a floor above and down the hall from the router.
My desktop sleeps when idle, and I discovered this morning that this will shut off the adapter and it will not automatically reconnect. I had to unplug the device and plug it back in to get it to look for the network again. This is made more annoying by the fact that the adapter is quite bulky and thus difficult to plug into a port that has anything else around it (such as the edge of a computer case or other USB cables). I would like it plugged into the back of the computer with the other USB devices, but its size makes this impossible.
I cannot use the extension cable that came with the device to overcome this particular difficulty, as it made my computer crash instantly when I tried using it the other day.
On the whole, I'm not impressed with this device at all. Were I not tired of having no connection on my desktop after more than a week, I would definitely be returning this adapter. As it is, I think it will just have to do until I can afford something better.

What's great about it: Easy Install/Works with Windows 7
What's not so great: Not a thing - love it!
I was looking for a wireless network adapter for my desktop. Just moved into a rental home and didn't want to cut holes and run wires. So I began looking and was spooked by the possibility of my adapter not working with Windows 7. But as soon as i plugged this adapter in, Windows 7 recognized it and within 5 mnutes I was connected to the internet and a network printer located on a different level of the house. The PC this is used on is for my young child and I was glad to see that the adapter included an extension cable so I could plug it in the back and bring the adapter on top of the box. Having it stick out the front wasn't an option as I was afraid she might break it off.
Great product, easy install and it definately works with Windows 7!

What's great about it: compatible with Windows 7!
What's not so great: nothing!
I had to return two different adapters before I called Geek Squad and asked what I should get, which is what I should've done in the first place. Oh, well. Live and learn!
The other two adapters I ordered were NOT compatible with Windows 7, but this one definitely is. Setup could not have been easier. It's just one sheet of very simple instructions and, voila, I was connected. Haven't had any problems at all with dropped connection or anything like that. I definitely recommend this product.

What's great about it: low price
What's not so great: tough to setup
This was supposed to be used to wirelessly connect my BD home theater system to allow for Netflix. First thing, it took several tries to find my network despite it being 10 feet away. Then, it refused to allow me to connect b/c it said I don't have a digital certificate to connect to my own network. It was only a few days after that do I find out that my BD theater system doesn't even have a wireless terminal even if I got the adapter working.

What's great about it: Excellent connection, simple setup
What's not so great: It sticks out from a USB port and needs to stay that way to be connected wirelessly
The adapter is recognized almost instantly when plugged into a USB port, and little to no interaction is required.
If you have a router that has a WPS button on it, you're in for a treat. No password necessary. Simply push the WPS button on the adapter, push the WPS button on the router, and Voila! You're connected.
If you don't have a WPS button on your router, don't fret. You may still use a password to set up the connection.
The signal from the router downstairs to the adapter upstairs is perfect and unwavering. I just can't say enough good stuff about this equipment, as it's worked great for us.

What's great about it: It's Plug and Play, easy to set up
I bought this for my mother because her inside internet card stopped working. It was really easy for her to install. She said she plugged it in, put in her password, and away she went. Works great.

What's great about it: The ease of use.
What's not so great: Short adapter usb wire for wi-fi.
Great product overall. Easy to install and easy to use. Picks up the internet easily from your desk-top computer. To my understanding works well with most wireless modems.

What's great about it: 5 minute install to 270 mpbs connection!, everything worked perfect, $39 was less than any other N
What's not so great: nothing yet
I started with a Netgear WG614 G Router, and a WG311 PCI adapted (54 mpbs) on this desktop (XP SP3). With two Itouches, and three additional laptops (Win 7), the router couldn't handle it so upgraded to a WNR2000 router (up to 300 mbps). Worked great on everything BUT this desktop. Hours on the phone with Netgear to eventually get "I have to stay at 54 mpbs for all devices to allow this desktop to connect to the internet." Not a good answer - I was initially told the other devices would have N connections, but the desktop would stay at 54 mbps max. Not so. Bought the Qwest N, plugged-in the USB, was immediatelt recognised, followed the instructions on my screen which told me I had two minutes to push the WPS button on the WNR200 router, did so, which the USP recognised, and verified (Network SSID, Passphrase, WPA) and then I was connected at 270 mbps!! No drops, internet flying - like a new install. Could not be happier (other than spending less).
As fas as the old Netgear PCI Adapter - I just disabled it (computer/properties/hardware/nework adapter) to get rid of the old un-connected icons on the bottom right of the screen. I did not pull the card.
This combo worked great for me!

What's great about it: Once set up it works great!
What's not so great: A little confusing to set up
It works great and the pricing was comparable to other brands. It took about 15-20 min. to set up, but we have never used one before so that may have explained some of the issues - but it didn't work until we installed it by using a special button which we didn't know we needed to use.
