Ok, I think I just died and went to heaven. My new Hamilton Beach 6 qt Stay or Go slow cooker arrived at my front door yesterday. (Thank you for free shipping Best Buy!) I decided to try it out with some el cheapo chicken legs that I had bought in a 10 lb bag. I did not follow a recipe. Instead, I just quartered about 6 medium sized red potatoes, cut a large white onion into chunks, 3 or 4 garlic cloves sliced and about 4 carrots peeled and sliced. I put the vegetables into the stoneware crock and put a little salt and pepper on them. Then I removed the skin from the chicken legs (3 big ones) and laid them on top of the veges and put a little salt and pepper on them. I poured about 1/2 cup of cheap white wine over the chicken and veges and turned the cooker on to the low setting. That was at 10:00pm. I turned the cooker off at 10am and let it cool down. All I can say is, it is to DIE FOR!!!! I cannot believe how well it all came out. The meat is falling off the bone, the vegetables are tender and the both is so flavorful. I plan to use this cooker all the time as I work so much and don't have alot of time to cook. Now I can't wait to try out different recipes. Thank you Hamilton Beach and Best Buy for such a great product!!!!
