What's great about it: Best Bose NC headphones yet...
What's not so great: $300 is $300...
IMO, these are excellent headphones... I can't say it any simpler than that. I work from home and I usually end up working late most nights. My office is right next to our bedroom and my GF usually goes to bed a good hour or 2 before I do. I just pop the QC 15's on and either plug them into my laptop or my Bose computer speakers so I can listen to iTunes or whatever... It is a win-win situation for both of us. It also helps me get more work done during the day as they help to block out all of the "distractions" one has when working from home.
The sound quality is very impressive. They are extremely comfortable too - at least they are for me. Not too bulky on my melon. I actually have to watch getting up from my desk with them still on - that is how good of a fit they are for me.
The only negative I can think of is that you need to watch the volume on your output source. It can leave a bit of a ringing in your ears if it's up too loud. At least that has been my experience. I guess for those not accustomed to NC technology, it can be a bit of an adjustment. And yes, they are a bit pricey, but I got them 18 months - no interest from BB...

This is my second pair, left the other pair on an international flight, remembered they were in first class within 10 minutes of leaving the flight, however, someone got a nice xmas present because they disappeared within 15 minutes on a Delta flight!!!! Couldn't live without them so I purchased a second pair for life! Will paint my name on them!!!!!

What's great about it: Great noise reduction
What's not so great: A little pricy
I purchased these as a present to me for my 70th birthday and for an upcoming flight to the west coast. I expected them to work well on the plane and they did. They are very comfortable to wear. I decided to try them when mowing the lawn instead of my normal hearing protection. I could clearly hear the music over the sound of the mower. The amount of noise reduction is amazing! I use them with my Ipod and Kindle Fire of if I just want it to be quiet when I read.

What's great about it: Noise Canceling
What's not so great: Required battery to play music
I think these are some great headphones if you travel frequently.
what i didn't like was that it required a battery for them to work.
Not just the noise canceling but to be able to listen to music.
These are over the ear and they are comfortable.
But i did return them for the OE2 which are on the ear, which i didn't think i would like since i tried the Beats solo and those hurt my ears, but they have great bass and soft on the ears.

What's great about it: Smaller than my old Boise set and much less outside noise.
What's not so great: To hear the music you have to turn on the sound reduction switch. It is battery operated.
It is a great headset for listening to your favorite music. The noise reduction switch does keep out 90% or more of the noise. The problem is forgetting to turn off the battery operated switch when you finish listening. The quality of sound is only produced by a Boise product. Love it but really don't like the switch. It should be on all the time due to when it is off that little or no sound comes out of the earphones.

These are very good headphones. I primarily use these headphones to isolate myself from my noisy roommates and I have to study. Only down side is the price but they are worth it.

What's great about it: Quiet, No sound spill in or out. Nice long cord, comfort
What's not so great: Pretty pricey and battery needs weekly replacement.
These headphones are amazing. I am a little hard of hearing and my wife can hear over Apple earbuds when I listen to my music/audio-books with them. She never says a word when I use the Bose product. The sound is fantastic and it totally blocks out out-side noise. The Phone and Play and Volume buttons on the cord are very sturdy and I haven't had any problems. I have yet to use them on an airplane flight but I am looking forward to doing that on Saturday.

What's great about it: Unparalleled sound quality.
What's not so great: Too large, takes up too much space in briefcase
I travel a lot and purchased the headset for both noise cancelling features and sound quality. I was not disappointed. They fully cancelled the airplane engine noises. When playing music via my I Pad or IPhone the sound quality was outstanding. I've used other headsets to watch movies on planes and sometimes dialogue is difficult to hear even when volume is on full. Didn't even get close with this headst. There was no engine or ambient noise that had to be overcome. Just pure sound. Music and dialogue were crisp and clear.
Two minor issues: 1) this headset fully covers your ears so they tend to get a little warm; and 2) this is a big headset. While it doesn't look large in the case, it takes up a lot of room in the briefcase.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I went back and forth between these and Beats Studio. I tried them both on over and over again. If you want to look cool, get Beats. If you want the most comfortable, light weight, best sounding, best noise canceling headphones, get these. I use these in an office full of talking people, when I turn these things on I don't hear anything but whats coming through the headphones. I have also used these while cutting the grass and they make my lawnmower sound like an electric, its crazy. The comfort and noise canceling is ridiculous, Flat Out!

The only problem I have with these headphones is that the power (supplied by a AAA battery) HAS to be turned on to use them. If you set them down and forget to turn off the switch, the battery drains, requiring replacement. This problem may correct itself after repeated use due to being conditioned to turn them off when done, but in the meantime, I'm probably going to go through a few batteries. I don't understand why Bose didn't equip these headphones with the ability to switch the power off after five minutes or so of inactivity, like any battery operated computer mouse. Other than that quibble...they're just cherry!

What's great about it: The noise canceling and sound are terrific.
What's not so great: A bit expensive. You have to have the noise canceling on in order for the sound to work.
These headphones are great for plane rides and for blocking out noisy air conditioning. I just wish I didn't always need to use the noise canceling (hence killing the batteries) in order to get any sound out of them. I do like to use them around the house where noise canceling is not needed so it would be nice to not waste the battery life. But they are a great headphone in general and it definitely makes my plane trips better.

It turns a journey in Economy Class into a Business Class.
It makes the difference after 8 and 12 hrs of flight. You can use it alone with out any music or you can plug to ANY entrainment device aboard. The quality of sound is very good.
It's light and soft, and you don't mind using it again after you take them of for a wile.
You can also have a soft conversation without rising the volume of your voice on a plane.
Case is a little big. Bose can add some pockets and so for air tickets, passports and pens, since the size wont be smaller.
