What's great about it: The journal is great & alot of fun for the person I gave this to. You can view messages secretly and with the lights .
What's not so great: so far nothing just don't forget the password.!
This is a great buy for any girl! This I would buy again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: The durability
What's not so great: The voice recognition
The Journal is made of very durable materials, which is great considering our 4 yr old son wants to throw it when it won't open for him. We bought two of these for our daughters, one is 5, the other is 6. They love writing in them.
However, the voice recognition which allows the journal to be locked and unlocked is really bad. They record their password and even using simple short words like "Hi," "Open," or "Me" the device doesn't recognize it as being the same voice and word recorded, thus it will not open. After resetting their passwords several times, they finally asked to use them without passwords.
The lights that cast light on the pages for writing in the dark and to reveal secret messages r nice and bright, but do not light up the whole page, thus making it difficult at times.
Both our girls have made great use of what they like and overlooked what is not so great about this journal!
