The quality of the screen is sub-par - looks like left over LCDs from 10 years ago. The second unit stopped working about 3 days in and we returned it.

What's great about it: Easy to set up, got a good deal, good sound/picture quality
What's not so great: the 1st one we bought lasted 2 car trips before the 2nd screen died
This DVD player had great reviews both online and from friends of ours, but we made it on a 4 hr trip there and back, then the 2nd trip we took 2 weeks later and the 2nd screen stopped working halfway through. Took it back to best buy and they let us exchange it for a new one. We'll see if this one last longer than the 1st one!

What's great about it: Easily moves between vehicles

I bought this the day before a 12 hour roadtrip. I needed it for the 7 & 11 year old sitting in the 3rd row. It was a lifesaver! They were thrilled. It kept them calm for the ride and was easy to move between the third and second rows of my SUV. Planning to buy a second one soon.

What's great about it: Sale price, easy to hookup, straps fit most headrests
What's not so great: No remote makes it hard to switch shows
These were on sale for $99.99 and that's a fantastic price for a quality set of dvd screens. The straps fit my headrests in multiple cars perfectly. There is no remote which makes it a task to change shows when watching seasons of cartoons.

What's great about it: The 5 minutes it works
What's not so great: The fact that the 2nd screen goes dark after a few uses.
I was given these a year and a half ago for my kids birthday. I've exchanged it 4 times as of last week, going for the 5th after today! So glad we purchased the BB warranty. All 4 times the second screen has gone dark after just a few uses. I wish we could exchange it for ANYTHING else because these are no good!! I'm curious to know what the other reviewers who gave it high notes thought of them after 2 weeks or a month. Don't waste your money or your time. (The trip to the store and the embarrassment of going in yet again with the same problem).

It was a life saver for our road trip across the state with the kids. They really enjoyed being able to watch a movie to help pass the time.

We bought this to replace a dual screen dvd in our mini van that was inadvertently broken by our 4 year old daughter. This Phillips dual screen dvd player does have a nice picture. But the buttons are very hard to work on the front unless you are staring right at them. It's nearly impossible to hit the right button while driving to start a dvd and since it has no remote control it's not good for our daughter to control either.
Skip this one if you have kids.

What's great about it: Having a tv in the car
What's not so great: Cables, long load time, and pauses on it's own
Bought this for long trips with my kids. And it was worth every penny. It takes a long time to load the DVD. And every once in a while it will pause itself. The buttons are all over the place so it's hard to reach back and change anything while youre driving. Also theres cables everywhere. But i guess that should be expected. But it serves it's purpose.

What's not so great: wish the power cords were longer
I bought this just over 2 years ago, have had absolutely no problems with it during those 2 years. My now 4 year old son is able to use it independently, very easy to use. It finally crapped out on me last week but I figure 2 years is pretty good for what I paid for it (and how my toddler treated it). I just ordered a new one, and ordered the exact same one again. I definitely recommend this if you don't want to spend a fortune.

What's not so great: Very unreliable, waste of money.
Worked for a whole 10 minutes. 2nd screen went blank-blue screen. Had audio but no video. Turned everything off. Replugged in everything, didn't fix it and then the primary screen went out also-blue screen, no audio. Should of read the reviews before i bought this piece of junk.

On a trip from Miami to Stone Mt., GA the second screen died one hour away from our destination. The following day, the main screen went out. Luckily I kept my manual and called Support. The nice lady took my information and item model with Serial Number and gave me a ref # for a new unit to be delivered once they received my proof of purchase.
Once I got home, I faxed information per the instructions given and received a new unit within two weeks.
The new unit seems to work fine, but so did the original at first.
One thing I can say is that Customer Service is spot on......as long as you keep your documents. Would not buy another Philips.

What's great about it: Keeps the kiddos quiet on long trips
What's not so great: bumpy roads can upset it, audio is low even on max
Basically it does what it says on the tin. Although in my little Yaris the dvd player jumps a lot when we go over bumps. A soft toy or book to hold the main screen/player stops it from vibrating and it is fine. The audio is low but can be connected to the main car speak through the mp3 jack on the car and its like a mobile movie theater.
Kids love it.

I am on my second unit of this product. The first one I bought I had to return do to audio / static issues. I recently went on a 13 hour road trip and the unit stopped working on the way back home. The system is unable to read any dvd's. The unit was fine, while it worked, it just stopped working mid movie and its only 8 months old. I will be returning this unit as well and will not be buying a Phillips DVD System again.

Saw these at the best buy self and thought this double screen package would be perfect for my two boys ,but was not happy wen we set them up in our truck and the only way they could be powered was buy keeping them pluged the whole time they didnt have a option of being charged for any play time with out being pluged in :( waste of money will be returning for full refund not a recommendable product to some one withlittle ones!

This is just what we were looking for on our 15hr road trip with our 2yo and 4yo. We used this during the day and night and they could both see and hear the picture clearly. We bought it the day we left on our way out of town and it was easy to install and very easy to use! and with the regular plug in they are able to watch it in the hotel room as well! Saved us from hours of boredem!

What's not so great: Need to adjust angle with a shim for good viewing by kids.
Bought it for road trip with the kids. Tee player worked fine. Not a perfect mounting system, but overall it works ok.
