What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Doesn't work
Bought Roxio Easy VHS to DVD, aweful program. Install went easy but after that it was all downhill, having nothing but trouble and support is horrible.
Getting a "No Signal Detected" error, doesn't matter what computer we use, desktop, laptops, nothing, same error! Doesn't matter if it is VCR or my Video Camera, still same issue!
Using the support database is a joke, no one has gotten clear answers to fix the problem! Can't call support unless we want to pay $$$$, uncalled for, if their product is good then their support should help if there is a problem instead of charging more.
Don't buy this program/product!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this product to transfer all of my old VHS tapes. It was easy to transfer the footage, and it great quality!

What's great about it: Easy to use
Works well with my Sony Mini DV. For a while I've been looking for a way to transfer my old Mini DV movies to my Mac. I finally found the solution! It is very easy to install and the software is very simple to use.
The video and audio quality of the transferred movie is very good. I didn't notice any degradation.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Works great for high-quality VHS tapes
What's not so great: It won't work and then won't tell you why it didn't work.
The software was easy to set up and was easy to use once installed. However, if it cannot transfer the VHS to DVD, the error messages are extremely unhelpful and it is hard to know why it did not work. I attempted to transfer an, admitted very old, VHS tape and it appeared to work fine until I tried to stop the recording at which point I would get an error message. The error message did not tell me what the problem was and it took me quite a while to search the Roxio website to find any type of explanation of what had gone wrong.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product for uploading analog video

Great for uploading footage but takes a lot of time to edit with iMovie and burn to disc. There is an option to burn directly to disc once the footage is uploaded which would not take near as much time. Overall it works great!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: It's a simple as 1-2-3!
What's not so great: nothing!
We have been taking the VHS of family (weddings, births, parties, etc) & putting them on DVDs & it's wonderful!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Simple to operate.
I wanted to convert older VHS videos of my sons birth to DVD. I went with the Mac version and I'm glad I did simple to use and easy to edit.

What's great about it: GREAT TO RECORD VIDEOS ON YOUR PC/LAP-TOP
What's not so great: POOR EDITING TOOLS
I have a vaio quad core laptop with windows 7 professional 64 bit OS. My computer level and skills are High..... I'm very familiar with this product and it is great to copy VHS or 8mm from a VCR or camcorder....etc.... and I mean great!.... Only problem is the editing tools are very poor and sometimes not compatible specially with windows 7. I will suggest to get a different software to edit your videos if thats something you care about. Other than that to record on yout laptop or PC is Fantastic! Very pleased with it... and the price is 100% worth it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: Quality suffers a bit.
On the plus side, I'd have to say that it is easy to install, easy to use and small and out of the way when not in use. On the negative side, I'd have to say that the quality of video transfer isn't the best. Tends to be darker and less resolution than the original. Significantly so. If you don't want to break the bank, it gets the job done, though I have seen better ones for more money.
I would recommend this to a friend!
