What's great about it: Optional Alternate endings
What's not so great: Graphics nearly fried my computer.
Regardless I stayed on it for HOURS at night it was a bit short for me. I have a Windows 7 HP laptop, and the game made my computer get SO hot. If I hadn't had set all the graphics to all "low" I'd be lagging slower than a slug.
You'd really have to have a really expensive gaming computer with a built in cooling system to keep the graphics from frying your motherboard. It's a good thing I had a cooling fan that helped just a little. I had to use my hand to absorb the heat when it didn't help. (It was hot hot hot)
When I tried the "online play" option I couldn't figure out a way to connect with anyone online. There's no way you can find anyone in the game or online to figure it out. So that feature is practically useless.
Oh, and when you go to the tree to teleport there's that option to go to other parts of the world.. I can't figure that out. Is that possible? Because I attempted to see if I can kick more RDA butt since I saved the Tree of Souls (spoiler sorry) I wanted to do more but couldn't! All it showed me was all these red continents vs my blue island that I saved.
Other than that, it was fun but rather simple. The controls took some adjusting and getting used to. The ending sucked on the Na'vi side. I'm just starting up on the RDA side of the game. That's the one thing I admire: There are two alternate ways you can do it. Play the game as RDA and kill Pandora. Play the game as Na'vi and you save the world. It's fun but it needed more work. :-)

What's great about it: Good price and 3D feature
I must admit that I bought this game for the 3D function that was mentioned in different reviews. At first I was disappointed, I do own a new Samsung LED 3D TV with active shutter glasses and I have been able to watch a couple of 3D movies and played a couple of 3D demos I have downloaded from PSN and the 3D effect in both movies and games is simply amazing, I cant get enough of it!
When I first played this game and went to set set-up option I did find the 3D feature but whatever settings I tried, I could not get the effect, I was even considering returning it. This game, as opposed others, does not activate the 3D feature in my TV automatically, I had to do it manually by going to the 3D settings. In my particular case I chose the check-board side-by-side both on the game and the TV and voila! The 3D popped up and it is simply amazing.
Judging by my first impression, this is primarily a shooting/war game, which I am not really into. However the quality of the graphics in 3D makes it an awesome game to play. I have not played much yet but the game got me hooked on it once I got familiar with the story line and the features. I would definitely recommend this game, especially if you own a 3D capable TV.

What's great about it: Huge maps, excellent environments
What's not so great: Graphics could have been much better
I got this game as a birthday gift from my wife. Was looking for getting Blu-ray disk of Avatar movie since long time, but finally decided to go for this game, and I am enjoying it very much ... Graphics are not that good, but maps are so huge that you can explore the region and find new stuff ... there are different endings to this game, and it is easy to play.
Overall, this is amazing, fun game, great maps and must for Avatar movie fans ... :) I recommend it to everyone ...

What's great about it: This game takes PS3 graphics to a new level
What's not so great: Nothing
This Avatar game will blow your mind. The graphics are so thrilling and this is one of the PS3 games that actually is displayed in full 1080p. It almost looks 3-D. The game is just like the movie and you have the option to make your own path in this game. The only thing I wish I did was buy the Limited Edition version with the ID tags that unlocks more features to the game. It is way cool and a good addition to any gamers library.

What's great about it: Graphics, plot, price
What's not so great: controls
This game absolutelyblew me away! The graphics are stunning and way better than I expected. The world you play in is expansive with limitless possibilities. There are many different endings to this game depending on your in-game actions. The online multi-player part is fun and challenging, and seems to work pretty well.

What's great about it: You don't have to own it
What's not so great: The graphics are ok, but they lag everything down, the controls are terrible, the gameplay is boring.
This game was complete garbage, The game was so talked up as being something of a bright future in gaming. The graphics were support to be ground breaking. --- They are not, they are ok, but they drive the game down for being laggy. The controls are awful and the gameplay is pretty boring. The environments are large and interesting.( that is the only good I can say about the game). I can't believe that this game was created as such garbage. DO NOT BUY!
