What's great about it: easy to put together, universal remote works fine, speaker sound great
What's not so great: nothing.
I bought these pair of speakers for video games, music, and movie channels. You will be able to listen to all musical instruments fine and clear, at low volume, but at mid or high volume these speakers rock.
They are pricey, but you will enjoy them for as much as you want to enjoy them. The price comes secondary. I was able to programmed the uninversal remote with: DirecTv box, Samsung TV and PS3. I don't need 3 separate remotes any more.
You don't need to buy any wires. The speaker set comes with RCA wires and optical wire. Optical wire is a clear sound choice to enjoy these speakers. This set is so easy to put together, i didn't need to read or consult the intruction book. You will not be disappointed, trust me. !!

I also bought the speakers' stand. The stand was easy to put together. You could hide the wire between the speaker stand tube. If your Best Buy store doesn't have them, no worries. Tell the sales rep you want to place an order, which is what i did, in 48 hours the speakers were at the store. Great service.

I was a little nervouse after reading a lot of reviews about sound quality, but let me tell you the huge sound that you get out of such a small set of speakers is unbelievable. I hooked this up to a Sharp Aquos 3D 60 inch, that has so so sound and right away I was blown away, great for movies, sports, and surprisingly music. The only thing that I first thought was a negative was the sticker shock, but like me, once you get it home and 15 min later you will forget about the price. One last thing this is not a surround sound system but with movies and sports it feels and sounds pretty close. Grab one and enjoy.

What's great about it: Fast set up, quality sound

This Bose system is perfect for a small to medium sized living room. Set up takes about 10-15 minutes and you're ready to go. This is a plus for anyone who rents and plans on moving in the future. The sub woofer definitely packs a punch and the speakers are durable. Speakers come with rubber feet in case you don't want to opt for the stands. So far I've played movies at a "neighbor annoying" level and still the speakers don't move.
Downside is that this model is a few hundred dollars more than the model below it. I stood in the store an additional 30 minutes contemplating which model to go with but in all honesty I really like having the black metal mesh on the speakers rather than the cloth on the other series. It has a clean sharp look to it and overall sounds amazing.
This is a great addition to the home theater system if you rent your apartment/house and are willing to pay for quality product. This will hold me over until I get the full Bose home theater system when I buy my own house.

First off, these speakers are small, very small, but the sound that comes out of them is amazing. The set up is a breeze, as it is only a few connections and you're done. Set up of the universal remote was easy as well, so it controls the tv, 3d blu ray, home theater & Directv box. Can't say enough good things about this system, another great product from Bose.

GREAT SET UP. BOSE IS THE BEST. JUST TOOK MY WIFE AND I TEN MINUTES TO HOOK IT UP. WE BOUGHT A $599 BOSE SYSTEM FIRST AND DECIEDED TO UPGRADE TO THE LARGER UNIT. GLAD I DID BECAUSE THE REMOTE IS GREAT. ITS THE ONYL REMOTE I HAVE NEXT TO MY CHAIR NOW BECAUSE IT IS LINKED TO ALL MY ELECTRONICS AND IT WAS EASY TO DO. IN THE PAST I HAVE BOUGHT ONE OF THOSE ALL ITEM REMOTES AND IT TOOK AN ENGINEERING DEGREE TO PROGRAM IT. THIS ONE WAS A PIECE OF CAKE JUST ENTER A CODE WHICH IS SUPPLIED AND ITS DONE. TOOK 10-15 MINUTES.

I purchased this system in December. It installed easily and the sound is quite good. I spent the extra money to get the universal remote. It seemed like a good idea, but I was not able to get the remote to operate the TV volume, although it worked fine with all other TV functions. I called Bose and was informed that the remote will not operate the TV volume. I was told they assume you will always use the Bose speakers. What a dumb assumption. I don't like using the Bose when just listening to the news and such. Why would you create a Universal Remote that doesn't do everything? It's not really universal than is it?

I love that it just plugs into the tv and everything you have hooked up to the tv goes through it. No extra nonsense just great sound. I love how it sounds from movies to music. Great for around the kids. Metal faced speaker grills so no little fingers can push in the domes on the tweeters or mids. Price is a bit steep but nothing compares to these for a nice upgrade to your experience.

I have this system hooked up to a Samsung 60 led smart tv. The sound and clarity is amazing. I can now hear highs and lows that I was never able to hear before.
