What's great about it: The hardcover book that accompanies the four discs; the massive sample of songs I've never heard that are just great.
What's not so great: everything is great about this set; well worth the price.
What stands out the most to me about this collection is the number of quality tracks I've never heard. One of the best examples of what I'm talking about is "Get On This Plane" by The Premiers. Total dirty groove guitar, 60's organ and tambourine. This set is just way too much fun. It's Rock 'N Roll. Check it out.

Most everything that’s been said about this box is spot is spot-on accurate. As described it covers LA’s local music scene from 1965-68. The music is a crisp, fresh snapshot of the rock & roll that populated the clubs and discotheques of the Sunset Strip during that time. You get ultra rare goodies from the bands that scraped the bottom of the big-time – along with album tracks and b-sides from the big names. It flows perfectly – you get of sense of what the radio might have played in the LA area during these days. The hardbound book fills in the gaps with fantastic song-by-song notes and background information on the clubs these bands cut their teeth in. The book includes a treasure trove of rare photos . A must have for any 60’s music fan and a valuable addition to the Nuggets series.
