What's not so great: POOR SUCTION, OVERHEATS QUICKLY AND STOPS
WORKED GREAT ON RUGS FOR THE FIRST COUPLE OF TIMES, THEN OVER HEATS AND SHUTS IT SELF OFF... DOESN'T PICK UP ON BARE FLOORS, HAND ATTACHMENT STOPPED WORKING ON SECOND TRY.. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Powerful, easy to move from room to room
What's not so great: Attachments not stored on board, floor attachment doesnt lock into main wand
We bought this vacuum to replace our 17 year old workhorse. This one does a phenomenal job. It just glides from room to room and it is really powerful (but pretty quiet). We have 2 indoor cats and this vacuum does a great job at getting the hair and picking up any crumbs. There are 3 MINOR things I wish were a different. 1.) I wish the floor attachment actually locked onto the main wand. When you are using it, it sometimes falls off. 2.) I wish all the tools could be stored on the vacuum itself. Only the 2 smaller tools (nozzle and furniture tools) do and 3.) the canister is wider than my old one and so the vacuum doesn't fit in the closet that I usually store it.
But these are small things. We are really happy with the way that it performs!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: excellent suction, easy to empty contents in trash, easy to pick up
What's not so great: canister design could be improved so it is easier to maneuver.
This vaccuum has blown away my Sears Kenmore Canister. This vaccuum is excellent at picking up dog hair and dust. Very easy to pick up and carry upstairs.
A couple of glitches are:
I do wish that the electric cord was 2 feet longer (to accommodate larger homes and maneuvering) and the extension wand was around 6 inches longer as I am tall and I have to lean forward a little to vacuum. Pulling the vaccuum canister is somewhat troublesome as the connection from the wand to the canister is at the bottom of the canister so when I drag the canister forward while vacuuming , I am nervous that the connection may wear faster and the front of the canister lifts up as I pull it across a room. Other than this - the Hoover empties contents easily and has very strong suction. We shall see if it stands the test of time.

What's great about it: Excellent cleaning power
What's not so great: 14" power nozzle/brush difficult for small spaces between furniture.
With 3 cats and 1 dog, we need a vacuum that really gets the fur out of the carpet. The Hoover WindTunnel HEPA Bagless Canister Vacuum does exactly that and more! It's very quiet and easy to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: poor quality
The vac is bulky and difficult to maneuver the canister. Suction was not as good as my old Kenmore, the power head brushes stopped working less than 5 mos after purchase. Unit was not heavily used.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Picks up everything, good/long warranty, bagless, HEPA
What's not so great: Small spinning brush attachment for stairs/furniture only works well at max suction
In our household, we have multiple animals with carpet and hardwood floors. This is definitely the best vacuum I've ever used on carpet (it feels fluffy and new after each use); however, the hardwood flooring is where this machine really shines. The hard floor attachement does not scratch the floor and this vacuum picks up everything (even the fine sand/grit). The canister is very easy to empty when finished. The unit is a little awkward to store since the hose does not curve/wrap very well and the price could be a touch lower, but with a six year warranty and performance like this, these are only minor thorns.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: The suction is great and the furnture power nozzle is wonderful
What's not so great: The on/off switch, I keep hitting it .. and ..the floor brush falls off
I have 3 Cats and a Dog .. this vac makes it easy to keep the your home clean .. the suction, the power nozzles both carpet and furnture nozzles, it's ease on the stairs, being fairly light, helps. I 'm going to be throwing my other vac (rainbow)out I don't need it for that heavy duty cleaning, because I do it with my everyday Hoover I love it !!!

What's great about it: quiet, easy to use
We've had the vaccum for about a month now and I love using it. Our previous two vaccums were uprights and had issues. The first time I used this vaccum I was amazed as it picked up baking soda carpet cleaner that we had put on the carpet over a year ago and had obviously vaccumed many times. I like the on/off button on the handle and the easy dump canister. We picked this vaccum over the others b/c of the warranty and because we have wood floors and carpet. The only thing that I have issues with is that on my old matted carpet it sometimes doesn't pick up the chunky stuff, like a fuzz ball or dirt from a potted plant. But if I remove the wand from the head (which is super easy to do) I can suck it up no problem. Also this is a beautiful vaccum- it looks way better in person than in the photo online.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had several vacuums throughout the years and this one seems to be the best by far. We haven't used it much so I can't tell you about how well it stands up over time, but so far so good. It is on the expensive side, but we are happy with the purchase.

Vacuums up the bare floor as well as the carpet with no problem. It also has wonderful attatchments for vacuuming the sofa.

What's great about it: Great cleaning suction, easy to navigate (head swivels), easy to empty, looks great,
What's not so great: Nothing yet
I know this is an expensive purchase, but it is really worth it. I love the canister... I think it is much easier to work with on stairs and the head fits under the couch, where a regular upright won't. In addition, it comes with a 6 year warranty. I am very happy with my purchase and would not hesitate to purchase it again.

What's not so great: Separate 'body' to drag around
I've read all the reviews on various websites, looked into Consumer Reports and owned an upright Hoover Windtunnel for the past 7 years. This was truly an exceptional upgrade. I own two Siberian Huskies and three long-haired cats. Their hair gets everywhere. The night this vacuum arrived, I put it together (very easy) and vacuumed the entire house - from top to bottom. I think I actually ended up with a 'cat' in the bagless canister! This vacuum has amazing suction - which you can adjust. There are multiple hand tools that are also very powerful and easy to use. The telescopic wand allows you to adjust the length for your comfort, whichever piece you're using. There's 6' of suction tubing that allows you move a good distance before having to move the body of the vacuum. This is the only drawback that I've encountered so far. You've got a 'body' to drag around behind you...small issue to deal with for the quality of clean you get with this vacuum.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had it for about a month now, works great! Really gets up the dirt. I love the bagless feature because you can see what it picks up.
