What's great about it: Great price, easy to set up
What's not so great: Web site should be clearer
I've been using this for a couple of weeks and am very pleased. Cost of the kit is credited during on-line registration of device. After receiving confirmation of date when phone number would be ported, installation was quick and easy (15 minutes). One feature I really like is 1 hour of free international calls per month (check web site for list of countries). After that hour is used, the rate is incredibly cheap, e.g. 1¢ per minute to UK. Only problem I had was plugging phone line into fax/printer, then phone. The printer created intermittent noise on line. Once I plugged line directly into phone, the problem disappeared. Not a problem, as incoming faxes will go to e-mail (included feature). All in all, I'm very impressed with all the features and quality of service. And, it's less than half the cost of my previous VOIP service.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've used VoIP for many years. This package sold in BestBuy is the best deal if you want to use PhonePower's service. You can find a various reviews in http://voipreview.org/ for PhonePower and you can even save more like what it said in http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/977741
We are very happy with the service.

What's great about it: Price, features, 2 lines, customer service
What's not so great: Unreliable!! not short outages - outage for days
Reasonable qualityfor the price and very good customer service (a human voice at the other end at first ring - rarity these days). However, the outages are deal breaker. I use the line for home office and cannot do with unreliable service. Phone service has been out for 2 days and no ETA yet. Apparently they are working with TWC to fix 'some' issue.
I would recommend as second phone, but definitely not if you need a reliable phone line. I will come back if they can improve reliability.

What's great about it: Not sure - Didn't get to use it!
What's not so great: Surewest (Sacramento region, CA) phone numbers cannot be "ported" into this product.
Unless I want to change my home office phone number (which is on all my correspondence and business cards), I cannot use the Phone Power setup with Surewest.com phone numbers. The first clue was when I started to sign in online and put in my home office number it did not go through but gave me a message to contact their customer service phone line.
***Customer service was very helpful and told me what terminology to use with Surewest when I called them. Cust Svc person even called me back within 24 hours when I left a message after hours on the help line***
It would have been helpful if my closest Best Buy had provided info about this (they probably have service provided by Surewest also!) but I bought it via Best Buy online, and just picked it up at my local store. Oh well, back to research!

What's great about it: Send and Receive FAX, Tons of calling features, Connect to Alarm system all for less than $10 a month.
What's not so great: Absolutely nothing!!!!
I have used couple of VOIP services in the past. Tired of all of them I went back to traditional landline. However, one day I found out about phonepower via google search and decided to give a try. It was a dramatic change in the VOIP phone service I have ever had. After trying their service for 9 months and failed to find any fault I switched my landline number to phonepower and got rid of copper.
If you have a stable internet connection and you live in a area where there is no significant power failures, you can definitely replace your copper line and go for PhonePower. They dont advertise with mutli million dollar budget like the competition, but pass those money to its members by offering extremely low cost service. No body can beat their $199.00 for two years price. That is just equal to paying 8 months to the competitor, but for 2 years to Phone Power.
Sending and receiving Fax? No problem. Send and receive fax through a regular fax machine or receive fax to the voice mail box and access fax from anywhere in the world. Competitor cant even offer a guaranteed fax service with their service.
Connecting to security alarm system is just a matter of seconds. Connect your phonepower cloned second line (which is FREE) to the alarm system and it will not interefere with your phone line in the even of alarm triggering. Though connecting to alarm system was never confirmed or discussed with phone power. However, it works absolutely without any problem for me. I have tested and triggered my alarm system few times with prompt response from alarm company. Believe me, you cant connect the competitor's phone line to the alarm system as it wont recognize the signal from alarm system. I tried it for myself and for my friend.
I have no relationship with whatsoever with phonepower, but I am a very satisfied customer of Phone Power for almost a year. I said this because my review almost looked like I am advertising for phonepower. This is what happens when you keep your customer extremely satisfied, Sorry Competitors! I would highly recommend their service to anybody who is looking for VOIP service!!!
