What's great about it: The front pull out to add water and coffee is great!
I wasn't sure about the different style with the pull out but its great! I don't miss having to pull the whole coffee maker out from under my lower cabinets to add water- it is so easy. Works well no dripping or other issues so far!

What's great about it: Everything
I like the fact that this coffee maker is easy to program, and the fact that you can add water and coffee from the slide-out compartment without having to pull the entire coffee maker out from underneath the cabinet. product .also comes with a coffee scoop and a grounds screen, so no coffee filter required.

What's great about it: Easy to use, add water and coffee from the front.
What's not so great: No complaints so far.
Pretty nice coffee maker for the money. Easy to program, easy to use. Really like the feature of adding water from the front instead of the top. Makes location on the counter I lot less complicated. Only thing I'm not sure about it the "Aroma" button. I've tried it with and without it on and didn't notice any difference.

What's great about it: easy to add water, and does not need filter papers, Makes great coffee
What's not so great: one way timers
love the operation, only draw back, I have found is the timer...it only goes one way...clockwise...in order to change the time you must go forward with the electronic clock. which means you have to realllly pay attion when setting the brew time... it would be a real advantage to back up time (counter clock wise) the timer when setting it...clock and timer have the same problem, time can only go foward.

What's great about it: hot coffee
What's not so great: timer, water level, aroma feature, access to clean ! !
First off very bold industrial look! The swing out water draw is a Great feature, which makes it very easy to place under Low cabinet spaces. The main problem is :
1. Reset Auto-On Timer, Slow and ONLY Foward movement{ Have to go through 24 HRS Cycle to Reset!!
2. Clock IS NOT BACKLITE !! Need Flashlight to See!!
3. Water Level is VERY Hard to see as it is Opaque and cannot see the water level!!
4. Hard to access the shower head to clean, as draw does not open enough to get your hand to wipe off the coffee oils that slash up onto it.
On the PLUS Side Make Very HOT Coffee!!
One last Note: DON'T BOTHER TO USE THE VERY SLOW AND USELESS AROMA FEATURE!!! NOT WORTH THE TIME IT TAKES TO BREW!!!
Hope this helps!!!

I didn't even realize this was an under the counter-no need to move out style until I had it home. At first I thought no big deal. But now I"m spoiled by not having to pull it out every time I want to make a pot of coffee.

What's great about it: Hot coffee
What's not so great: No complaints
I have had several coffee makers over the years and this is the first one in a long time that actually makes hot coffee. Also the first carafe that doesn't spill when you pour. The flip out feature is nice for inserting the coffee and filter and pouring in the water since I have it under my cabinet. So far so good.

What's not so great: Lid does not come off of coffee pot (attached)
Very user friendly. Love the programmable feature along with the front load & dual filtration (you can use the provided screen filter or the regular paper filters). Either way, it produces a great cup of coffee and so easy to use.

What's great about it: Brews good coffee and is stylish too!
What's not so great: Clock display can be tedious to set and hard to read.
I started with the caveat that I've only had this product for a month so the durability rating is a tad early. However, I've been very pleased so far. The unit is attractive and functional and brews a good pot of coffee (12 cups in 10 minutes regular, about 25 minutes for "Aroma" brew - which I use). The coffee comes out at 195 degrees and the warmer holds it at 180 (I like it hotter than that so I microwave my cup for 30 seconds - I'd ask for a "hotter" warmer but am concerned that the coffee would "cook down" and not be as good). I don't keep the unit under a counter so the pull out feature is not a necessity for me but it seems like an excellent solution (one review talked about lack of access to the water tank after getting grounds into the fill channel which could be a big problem - I fill the filter OUTSIDE the machine and then put it in the basket). Setting the Time/Timer can be tedious - I have unplugged the pot to get the default values of midnight and 6AM so I didn't have so far "to go". The one thing I'll mark the unit down for: the clock display is not lit (or back lit) and can be difficult to read in low light conditions (the DeLonghi sits next to a 4 cup Mr Coffee which has a nice, clear red LED display).

What's great about it: The front loading features.
What's not so great: Does not "beep" when coffee has brewed.
The best feature by far is that you do not have to pull out the whole unit to pour the water, etc. That in itself is worth the very reasonable price. The only thng that would make it better would be a "beep" once the coffee is brewed. All in all I'm very satisfied.

What's great about it: front load, brew speed, and temperature of coffee
What's not so great: plastic is never great, and this has it.
Great machine! Other reviewers say this machine brews too slowly. Ours is nearly new, and brews 6 cups in a bit over 5 minutes. The coffee tastes perfect, so the brew time is just right, IMO. Our old machine brewed too quickly, and I always felt I was wasting flavor. OTOH, if I push the slow-brew "aroma" button, the waiting is painful. Avoid pushing that button.
At this moderate price range, you get plenty of plastic, and yes, setting the clock and auto-brew start time takes a couple minutes, but once it's set you're finished. Great coffee, and the ability to stay under our low cabinets while we load in the water and grounds has me smiling. I recommend it!

What's great about it: Swing out resevoir
What's not so great: brew time
While the swing out reservoir was a great idea, the coffeemaker needs to go back to the drawing board.
It has one button to set the time. What is this, 1980? It takes a couple minutes to get to the time you need; not only for the clock, but to program as well.
My biggest complaint is that I set the auto brew for 4 am, so it's done by 6 am. With the "Aroma" feature, it literally takes 2 hours to brew a pot, and then it shuts itself off. Wow. With all the experience I have with most every brand of coffee maker, I'm seriously considering going to one of those old-fashioned percolators that my parents had, and giving it my own "Auto brew" feature by plugging it into a christmas light timer.

What's great about it: way it looks
What's not so great: slow luke warm coffee
Profoundly slow coffee maker, coupled with luke warm coffee (I have to put in the microwave to get a hot cup of coffee!) I love the way it looks - Great idea with the front that swings open to accept coffee... I hate to give it up... after 6 months of frustration - I am on my way out to get another model... I'm going to see if I can get a refund from best buy...

What's not so great: price of replacement caraf and lack of availability of caraf
We bought this approx, 6 months ago when the price was approx. $50. We recently broke the glass caraf. None of the big box stores including Target had a replacement so I phoned Delonghi. The replacement caraf was $25- not sure if that included shipping.
The rep at Delonghi did not seem interested in the inflated cost of the caraf. Will we ever purchase from this company again- never.

What's great about it: Filling water reservoir from front
What's not so great: Durability
I am very disappointed in the performance of the DCF212T. It takes over 30 minutes to brew a pot of coffee. When I first purchased it on August 1, 2010, it would brew coffee in about 10 minutes. After about 50 days it stopped working properly. It would pump water for 1-2 minutes, then stop for 2 minutes, then start again for 1-2 minutes, then stop again. I used a cleaner to remove any deposits and it didn't improve anything, so I know it is malfunctioning. Unfortunately, it's passed the return period.

What's great about it: great design, excellent flavor.
What's not so great: slower brew
This makes a great cup of coffee. It's a little slower to brew than many other coffee makers, but the first taste lets you know why.
I've been using mine for 2 years, and I love it. I purchased one for my parents, and am considering buying a second for myself, because I'm not willing to settle for something less, if mine ever quits on me.
I love the way it's designed for adding water. I don't have to bother pulling the coffee maker out, from under the cabinet, just to fill it up. top fill style coffee makers seem kind of silly after using this well thought out appliance.
