Basic B**** (iTunes Bonus Track)
I bought the whole cd on iTunes along with Tha Carter IV, i compared both and R.E.D. is way better. Take my word for it. Game really goes back to the way he was on Documentary, bringing bomb punchlines and harder than hard beats. This is what an album should be like.
That pretty much sums it all up.

What's great about it: great rhymes and beats
What's not so great: nothing
When I got this cd, I was not expecting too much. I didn't even actually want it I traded in a cd and they said I needed to pick something of equal value so I took a chance on this cd. I really liked the Documentary but L.A.X was disappointing so I didn't know what to expect from this cd. But when I started listening to the cd it wasn't like a normal cd where there were some good songs and some songs that you knew you would skip over. In this cd every single song is good. You don't want to skip over any song each one has catchy lines and great beats

What's great about it: Everything. Wish he had a deluxe edition.
What's not so great: That you havent went out and bought the RED album yet.
I have had every album from game and this one is by far the best next to his first album The documentary. Its not full of a bunch of curse words talking about money, women and cars. You can tell he has really matured as a person by his lyrics. Every Song tells a story. This is the album hip hop needed. Potential to be album of the year.

What's great about it: PERSISTENT QUALITY RAP, WEST COAST REALNESS
What's not so great: E40, LACK OF REAL LIL WAYNE VERSE.
From the documentary to his hundreds of beef starter songs, from 300 bars to the doctors advocate, from lax to the red album, it still holds true, that Game Is the truth, spittn real lyrics, hard hittn honesty from a Man that's living what he preaches! if Lax wasn't your red cup a Hennessy, lemme tell you, This is the documentary reborn! tight lyrics woven across some of Dre, Pharell, and other varied artists beats.
With a high emphasis on bass and light treb like Early 2000's gangsta rap, its easy to get wrapped up in the anger and beast feel you get through the first third of the album. the Middle third emphasizes the more easy listening/mainstream'd side of game, that despite some odd decisions, still shine with quality. Most of this portion shines with exceptional lyrics, however some lines in this portion (not from the Game) feel corny or out of place, such as Rick Ross's intro, E40's verse, and some lines from Jeezy but that's it. The last 3rd is a very welcomed classic side of hip hop that spity nuttin but Truth and Passion! Honestly, as a whole, there's nothin to complain about here. The music has enough variety in every song that nearly every song can stand alone, but the best way to listen through, hands down is strait through.
If your looking for the next chapter in Games rap story, there's tons of little hints and winks at whats going on with him in his life throughout most songs, and its great hearing classic artists like Dre and snoop back with Game! If your hoping for this to be Games Gangsta comeback, sorry but this isn't quite that. Many songs are Hard as hell, and really make you feel his force and emotion, but its not pure hard core. You get songs like The City and Ricky that have that Raw gang sense, but then there's songs like Speakers on Blast, while are by no means bad, feature the lighter party/self-confident side of game that was more present in Doctor's advocate and more underground work on the Black Wall Street Journal vol 1. then there's songs like hello, all the way gone, Pot of Gold, and Good girls gone bad, which show the more humanistic side of the man, with a bit of his west coast feel that add a great change of pace and lets us understand that he isn't a "martian or a goblin" (insert cleaver smile here.) Again, by no means bad, its still excellent music, just not the tupac some of us want to hear out of him.
One thing i really enjoyed in this album was the variety in lyrical pacing that typically isn't in Games albums usually there's one real kind of flow that carries the entire album, and its nice to see him explore multiple styles throughout. Along with that, the next best part of this entire album is that Its just so fluid in strait listening. As said earlier, every song can be standalone, but its just flat out amazing how its just so easy to be hooked into the album, and never feel like anything is out of place. in fact, its almost like a book separated by chapters, and every interlude from dre acts as the chapter spacer. its Just a beautiful think that isnt heard in recent albums surrounded by party music and auto tuning.
With all this said, the only disappointment is from the guest appearances. I was vastly upset When i realized Wayne didn't have a real verse, and E40 did nothing for me what-so-ever. However there are definatly Guests like drake and Kendrick Lamar who Make the album that much better!
if i had to pick highlights, The city, Ricky, All i Know and Martians vs. Goblins stick out the most for me. In terms of quality, Emotion, and the ability to become a classic, this is The Documentary Reborn, enough said. Its not the West coast's savior, but its the hero the west coast needs, and there isnt any other artist more real in the game right not that The Game himself, so Take time and Enjoy the magic!
