What's great about it: Good features like do not disturb and conferencing, easy to set up
What's not so great: Won't keep time
Bought this phone because our small office has 2 incoming lines and we wanted a "do not disturb" button, conferencing capability and an answering machine that would answer the other line when one was in use. This phone has all of those functions and more, however it WILL NOT KEEP TIME. I returned the first one to Best Buy (quick and easy return) and reordered a second one thinking that the first phone was defective and I couldn't possibly get a second defective phone. Wrong. I had called Uniden tech support the first time and all they could come up with was to set the time using the handset instead of the deskset and if that didn't work, then send it back (they acutally said that). So, the new phone came in and within one day, the same thing happens. It seems that the time changes whenever a call is received and is answered by the machine or is picked up by another phone in the office (not a uniden phone). This is not good as once the time changes (usually it either stops or goes back a few hours), then the answering machine records the wrong time. We may keep the phone anyway because we like the other features and can ignore the time on the phone, but we shouldn't have to.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
