What's not so great: product would not work at all
We purchased this for home use and it would not work at all. We returned it to the store. A total waste of time and money.

What's great about it: AUX input
What's not so great: Pretty cra ppy sound
The sound is really pretty poor. This is not what you should get as your primary home sound system. But if you want a basic radio/cd player, this is for you. It wouldn't be worth the price without it's glowing display and AUX input for smartphones (and other devices) which makes it quite a bit more versatile than the average boombox. If I get 3 years out of this, I'll be quite happy with having paid what I did.

What's great about it: Easy to use, good sound, good price
What's not so great: Bright light, no dim feature, no auto-off or sleep feature
I bought this for my daughter for Christmas to replace her old CD player in her room. She likes to listen to music at night when she goes to sleep, and I prefer she listen to CD's instead of the radio.
The sound is fine for in her bedroom, I haven't maxed out the volume, but it's seems like it would be loud enough if she wanted it louder. The sound is decent - not quite as good as the Sony this was replacing, but still good.
The only thing I don't like about this radio is that the blue light that comes on when you turn it on is very bright, especially in a dark room. She doesn't like it (I've turned it around so it isn't facing her bed). There is no dim feature on that light, nor is there a sleep, or auto off, feature, so if I forget to turn it off after she goes to bed, her room glows blue all night.
Other than that, it's a good radio for the price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: Dodgy cord, radio quality, broke after 8 months.
From the beginning the cord had to continually adjusted to stay connected.
Radio only picked up a few stations and not well.
Would not play copied CD's.
The sensor went after about eight months so I can't play CD's at all, which was what I bought it for.

Followed the instructions but couldn't get this boom box to do more than display the clock. Called the local store and a very helpful customer service rep took one out of a box, plugged it in and got hers to work right away. She gave me simple point-by-point instructions but it is clearly a dud.

What's great about it: Good range of reception, even on North Shore, MN; has bass-booster for better sound; great for outdoor decks.
What's not so great: Typically boom box sound-quality limitations.
Travels well and good AM/FM reception; bass-booster makes for better sound. Great for outdoor deck play without bothering neighbors. Fun for fav CD play.
I would recommend this to a friend!
