What's great about it: I can fit more in , dryer time is less
What's not so great: Can't adjust water level/long wash time/can pick what you want
At first I thought it was great, but it doesn't let you adjust wash temp only gives selected ones for type of wash. My biggest problem is it doesn't put in enough water to remove a stains, dirty clothes(ex. dust from baseball clothes) smell from deodorant or perspiration or towels. If I could make water level adjustments, it would be great,even if wash times are extremely long. Extra rinse doesn't help. Plus, it adds another 20 minutes or so for wash.
Heavy duty takes 1:30 min, Extra rinse on heavy duty, I thinks is about 1:45 minutes. I find that excessively long. Normal wash is 58 minutes, but I put a timer on and it will say 10 more minutes. Not sure why it always readjust time. What makes wash even longer I have no idea.
Plus side, drying time is cut, so if your a one wash a day person time is about equal. I used to dry in 40 minute, now I can do it 25.
Since it spins harder you do need to shake clothes out before drying other wise they come out real wrinkled. no problem really.
Note: if you buy only the larger washer you still can't do full loads because your dryer can't handle it.
I do like the washer, but I have to soak many clothes now. Just wish I could add extra water and all would be great
Ps. you don't need pedestal it is not that low, and drum spins so you can get any stuck clothes easily.
The detergent holder is always left with water in it, i'm afraid if I don't always empty it , it will get moldy inside

What's great about it: I love the timer on it, It saves on water and laundry soap.
What's not so great: it's a huge machine, and there is no soak cycle
I love my new machine for so many reasons. First I can put more of my dirty laundry in it. I save so much in detergent, water and energy. That is a real plus for me, because I have well water..The first thing I noticed about this machine, is that my clothing SMELL better. I have more time for other things. I have family members coming over and checking out my machine. I also purshased the drawer for underneath. It was a good investment! I will not have to cruotch down on the floor to get pull out wet laundry. It is level with me to reach in now. Which is important as I get older.

I've washed eight loads so far and the performance has been excellent. Cleans well. Runs quietly. Wrings out clothes more thoroughly so my drier doesn't have to run so long (thereby saving energy). Great features at a great price. This is the third Samsung product I've purchased and all have performed well and reliably. So no complaints so far -- may it continue!

What's great about it: Super Quiet with the Sound Reduction Technology. Very Little Vibration with Stackable Dryer. Clothes Come Out Great.
What's not so great: If I had to complain, washing time takes a little bit longer (1hr.), but well worth the wait.
I am very impressed with this Samsung Washer. Purchased it a couple of months ago and so far have been very impressed. Ultra Quiet when on and has a nice chime to it when the cycle is completed. Uses very little detergent to get the job done. Clothes have come out looking great and are damp before they hit the dryer ( you know how some top loaders are a little drenched). Definitely helps on the drying time! Keep in mind the discounts you receive if you use your best buy rewards card!

love the insurance policy for four years that repairs or replaces the unit. i have found that no one in Arizona works on Samsung . they say that parts are impossible to obtain.

purchasers should be warned to avoid heavy loads totally. once the drum moves offline the unit is unfixable.

I recently bought this Samsung washer when my old top-loader died. I had been wanting to get a front loader due to the energy efficiency and the cool look of them. I picked this Samsung because it had the lowest price for the most features. I got it on sale at BestBuy for around $700 which I thought was pretty good until I read other reviews who said they purchased it for less. I didn't get the matching dryer since mine functions just fine but I did get the pedestal. It's pretty silly that a little pedestal if $220, but oh well, I didn't want to have to bend over too far to get the laundry out.
The things I like about it are it's super easy to use! Just pour your detergent in, select your cycle and hit "play". I love that it has a timer, so I know how long to expect my laundry to be in there. It washes great, and I love watching it wash. The tune it plays when the load is finished is great, I often turn down the volume on my tv so that I can hear it.
Now, there are definitely some flaws in this washer, but none of them are deal-breakers for me.
First, there's always water in the detergent trays. That kinda bugs me, don't know why it doesn't drain out. I don't particularly like the idea of water sitting stagnant in a tray.
Secondly, it vibrates a lot when it's getting up to speed for the spin cycle. It's not extremely loud but I've had multiple occasions where stuff that was sitting on top of the washer has vibrated right off. So, don't sit anything on top of it!
There is a filter at the bottom of the washer that they advise you to clean out every two months. Well, I thought I'd check it out to see how much stuff had already built up...and it was a lot! Mind you, I have a dog who sheds a lot and his fur is everywhere. But, this thing was packed full of fur after only a few uses. So, you may want to empty it more often. The problem with the filter is that when you take it out, water goes EVERYWHERE. I mean, it drains for several minutes, so you need to have a towel handy to sop it up. Not really sure why it leaks so much when the machine hasn't been used for a few days...
Fourthly, fur and other particles tend to accumulate in the rubber gasket around the door. I have to pick lint and fur out between every wash cycle. It's very annoying that it doesn't drain out with all of the water.
Finally the most irritating thing of all is that the door only opens to the left. I was informed that this is the case with all front loaders except Electrolux which the door is reversible. My laundry room is configured so the dryer has to be on the left, so when I'm changing laundry from the washer to the dryer the door is always in the way. What a hassle.

A year and a half after buying this I had to spend 206 dollars because it is six months out of warranty for a new drain pump. The old one cracked. This is made very cheaply. My brother also got the same brand and model and has also had to spend money having it fixed after just a few months out of warranty. Keep looking, I always wait for a long time before reviewing a product, unlike most of these people who reviewed after having it for a month.

Nice washer for the price, built well with many features. Fairly compact size and very efficient (about 1/5 the water usage of my 7 year old Whirlpool top loader). My Whirlpool washer and dryer were setup downstairs when you ran a load, you could hear it around the whole house. Same setup with the Samsung only this washer is extremely quiet, only noticeable when it begins and ends the spin cycle, about 20 decibels! Part of the noise is the way I have the washer sitting, so if you had a perfectly level floor (I do not) and a hard surface, you will want to leave the audible alarm on or you might not hear it at all! I would recommend this washer for anyone looking at a new washer, the VRT is amazing. This set will stay with the house when I sell, and I will purchase another Samsung washer but with a larger capacity (same dryer though). The cycles are a bit lengthy, and the load size is a tad on the small size for me. All things considered, I am very happy..took advantage of the financing offer, rebates offered from my power company, and rewards program about $250 off the washer :)

What's great about it: Saves resources, runs quite and does a great job with my clothes!
What's not so great: A little big so don't completely fit in my laundry space for apt., no big deal though.
Just got my washer/dryer delivered this morning and I love these machines. They are easy to set up and start using, plus the amount of time washing and drying is great! The washer runs quite and uses less than half the soap needed with my old washer. The dryer has a sensor that allows it to only run for the required amount of time needed to dry the load based on weight so not only am I saving on water usage but also electricity! The salesman Ted at the Rapid City, SD store was great with helping me make my purchase! He was very knowledgeable of all the units in the store and got me exactly what I needed at a great price!

This was our first low water washer and I have to say it works great. This model is a cinch to use and get the dirtiest stains and dirt out. You can also add a lot of clothes per load including a king comforter.

Can you be in love with a washer? If so, I am! I have had several different brands in my lifetime, but none compares to this washer. I love how it looks, I love the VRT, I love how the clothes are spun so dry when I take them out. Love everything about it.

I replaced my washer and dryer when my old washer took a dump on me. Both the Samsung Washer and Dryer work great, they look great and they are so quiet. You hardly know they are running. I can also tell they are a lot gentler on our clothes then the old ones. they do hold less than the top load, and they do take a little longer to do a load, but well worth it!

I tried to purchase this same product at Lowes prior to getting it at Best Buy and had a terrible experience and continued to get the run around. I called Lowes and cancelled, went to Best Buy and it was in stock and $150 cheaper! No regrets! Love this machine!

I really needed a washer that would not shake my house apart (we have a second floor laundryroom). This washer is GREAT for that. It is quiet and the vibration technology really works. I have no noise, shaking, or moving along the floor while the machine does a cycle. The only thing I wish is that I could make sure there was enough water. The machine controls the water level based on the weight of the laundry. Everything SEEMS to be getting clean enough, but I wouldn't mind a little more control :) Otherwise, this machine has been a GREAT addition to our family! BTW the delivery guy told my husband that we aren't supposed to put a frontloader in a 2nd floor laundry room because it will shake too much. Clearly he had not been told about the vibration technology. They delivery/install guys should be briefed a bit on the product before they scare new owners.

replacing my Maytag neptune Front loading washer and dryer. I was concerned that the quality was not the same and that i would be stepping backwards. The unit runs beautifully measures the water to wash perfect and spins much faster than my Maytag. The VRT technology is great. This unti sits on the second floor and no vibrating at all. Very happy with the purhase.

This washer doesn't use a lot of water so I feel like the clothes are not really clean and still carries on a musty smell from husband's clothes! LOL... the wash time is so long depending on the soil level. All othe features are okay.

I searched and reviewed all kinds of washers and dryers, and this is the one I kept coming back to. I have NOTHING bad to say about it. I love this washer, as well as the matching dryer, and would reccomend to anyone! You will not be disappointed
