What's great about it: Ease of use, Quietness, Efficiency, Features, Design
What's not so great: It's expensive!
I've only had this washer for about two months, but I have done more laundry in two months than I probably did in six months because I enjoy using it so much more!! I feel confident that when I want to do a smaller load it won't use excessive water. While it has more features than I will probably ever use, I'm surprised at how many I have used in two months. I especially love the delay start, the keep-fresh option that keeps clothes from getting stagnant if you won't be home at the time the cycle ends, how it estimates how much a load will cost in energy usage, and of course all the different wash options. It has done an excellent job removing stains and my clothes always smell fresh. While the color LCD screen is a luxury (and I bought this model over the black and white screen only because it was on sale for the same price), the graphics are fun to watch. And yes, front loaders do take longer than top loaders to wash, but I think you more than make up for it in drying time. We have this unit on the third floor of our town home, and I'm amazed at how balanced it stays even during the spin cycle. Yes it will start vibrating a little but considering the rpms it's spinning at I think it's acceptable. Also I've noticed that if the vibration seems excessive it will rebalance itself which I think is genius. Overall it is MUCH quieter than our 12 year old top loader-- I'm not worried at all that it will wake the baby, whereas our old one would wake the neighbors. I was a little nervous ordering such a large appliance online but Best Buy's delivery service did a good job. I have had no problems with a musty smell, but we are also careful to wipe out the seal after every wash and either leave the door open or close it to where it's propped open with the magnetic plunger (which was also a genius idea). I hope that it continues to run as well as it has so far and will last us a long time, since it is an expensive machine, only time will tell.
