What's great about it: no wires
What's not so great: the set up
The Unit itself is great - the s/u leaves a little to be desired = as you have to call TiVo for help.

What's great about it: Quick transfer speeds
What's not so great: Setup on a Mac was a real chore and required me to do some searching online to get going.
I have one Tivo that is in a place here there is no wired network connection in my home and another that is wired up in a different room. I initially had the Tivo Wireless-G adaptor which was very slow when transferring TV shows and movies from one Tivo to another in our home. I was skeptical that the N version would make much of a difference, but it absolutely did. I'm very pleased with this. It's one of my favorite gifts I received over the holidays.

What's great about it: The greatest thing is it plugs into an ethernet port not a USB port.
What's not so great: Nothing
I had recently got a TIVO Premier XL. I had a TIVO G Adapter and planned to use that with my network and new TIVO. Problem: TIVO only had 2 USB ports & I had 3 USB devices (TIVO Slide Remote, TimeWarner tuning adapter, and TIVO G network adapter). The tuning adapter and hte network adapter did not work properly through a powered USB hub, which left me not able to use my remote of choice. The TIVO N Adapter comes with a converter and cable that allow it to be plugged into the TIVO's ethernet adapter and not USB, Pproblem solved and speed is great.

What's great about it: The fact that I can return them.
What's not so great: Connectivity
I originally had a pair of Tivo " G" adapters that worked fairly well except I was very unhappy with the transfer rate when transferring shows from one Tivo unit to another.
I bought these and have absolutely no improvement . Tivo techs said it should be 5 times faster...I'd actually be happy with twice as fast. I installed both ways, using an additional adapter as a bridge on my Verizon "G" router and installing a third party N router for them to connect to,which was actually even MORE problematic.
I will return these and either get the original "G" adapters or maybe try a third party USB adapter that would hook into the Tivo's USB port and cost half the price.

What's great about it: Very easy install.
What's not so great: Its a little pricey.
Works great and is very easy to install. Mine is installed on a Belkin router that is in my bedroom that is about 30 feet away. I still get 3 bars of signal strength. That is the maximum strength on the signal. I still think that is over priced by about $20.00 but that is just my opinion. It works great as it should. I own two of them and they both do the job exellantly.

What's great about it: Can receive my router's 5Ghz N signal
What's not so great: A little pricey
I purchased this Tivo adapter in May and haven't had any issues with it so far. It was easy to set up, just remember to turn off your computer's wifi and you'll be fine if you decide not to use the WPS set up. It works flawlessly with my Tivo HD and all of the Tivo HD apps like Netflix and YouTube.

What's great about it: When it works, it has good band width
What's not so great: It doesn't work 70% of the time
I am not please with this device. The unit is very warm to the touch; it drops the wireless signal often; and was hard to set up with my wireless network.
The unit drops the WiFi signal 70% of the time and must be unplugged to be reset and find the network again. The unit shows a maximum network signal all the time.
After 3 tries to get it to sync with my Netgear wireless network, I had to connect the unit to my laptop to set the security password and to find the wireless signal. Just don't forget to turn off your laptop's wireless like I did.

What's not so great: Horrible range and performance
This device is an overpriced piece of garbage. The range on it is a joke and the throughput, even when right next to my access point, was abysmal.
The best transfer rate I could get was 3Mb (as reported by the Tivo itself) with my access point 5 feet from the Tivo. When I had my access point where it normally is situated, I couldn't get above 1Mbps.
I returned this and bought a "Wireless N Gaming Bridge" for $30 that has a throughput of 20Mbps even with the access point located on the opposite side of the house and up 1 floor.
tl;dr
Waste of money, but a Wireless N to Ethernet Bridge

Upgraded from the regular adapter to the HD Wireless N adapter and I do not see the download time any quicker than before. Yes, I have an N router, too... Stick with the regular, cheaper, TiVo adapter.

What's great about it: size
What's not so great: poor reliability, runs hot, price
The product hooks up ok, but was constantly disconnecting - thus you had to go through the hook up process over and over again - which isn't fun. When it did hook up, it wasn't so fast that it was worth the price - which to me was very expensive. The unit also runs very hot, which I found odd, and also has an outside power source - which again to me seems redundant. Overall, get the cheaper one, it seems to be running just as fast and set up faster.

What's great about it: connects to the internet (sometimes)
What's not so great: disconnects and gets very hot
I bought this in addition to a TiVo premiere and I keep getting disconnected when trying to watch Netflix or sometimes just to watch my shows. I need to re sync it with the router more often than I thought. Not sure if it is the antenna or the TiVo that’s causing the disconnects either way its one of the TiVo products because my router is fine. In addition, it gets very hot.

What's great about it: Transfer speed increased by 300%
What's not so great: Needs a powered outlet
I bought this item mainly to see if it actually increased my download speed for my TivoToGo software. It performs as advertised by decreasing the required time to download HD shows to the real time minutes of the program. For example, if a HD television show is an hour long program, it takes me 1 hour to download the program to my computer. Prior to purchasing this item, it would take 3 hours to download the same 1 hour program. This is also the same realtime downloading experience I received when downloading HD movies. Overall, I am very happy with this product since it completely met my expectations.
