I bought the Mario Anniversary edition of this and it was nice. It worked fine and everything. Every game i had for the ds was awesome on it. Anyone who can answer this question i bought the one year warranty with ADH does that mean if accidently dropped it would they replace it or repair it?

What's not so great: wireless signal distance
Just a little trouble connecting to internet...not a good signal, you have to be on top of wireless router to get connected.

What's great about it: Large screen, two pens, 2 Brain age games
What's not so great: just a tad heavy but nothing major.
Got this a few months ago for my b-day and I love it. It's nice to be able to play on a bigger screen. I love the burgundy color. It brings 2 stylus's, there's a slot for the slimmer traditional one on the underside of the DSiXL, but there isn't one for the bigger pen like one. But I got a zip up protector that has a slot for the bigger stylus which helps me not lose it. My son had the regular DSi but went crazy with mines, he ended up playing with mines all the time. His uncle ended up getting him the red Limited Ed DSiXL for his b-day lol.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: no holder for bigger stylus, doesnt play gameboy advance games
Well my 8 year old daughter is ecstatic, her only gripe is that there is no place to put the big stylus in the game. There is a slot for the tiny stylus which of course she no longer uses: just a matter of time before the new improved stylus is lost.
Another huge downer for me is that this new nintendo does not play the game boy advance games on it so we now have to keep both nintendos around to play all the games we have.

I purchased this for my son's ninth birthday. He plays it everyday. I especially loves that you can take pictures with it. I would recommend this to anyone.

What's great about it: Large screen, better and louder sound, easier on your hands
What's not so great: nothing
It's a great item. Screen is bigger, sound is alot better. It has a wifi connection, two cameras, it's just cool.
The negative complaints are from people who probably feel cheated from buying the DSi last year and wished they would have waited for this XL version. It's not bulky, it's not just for kids, if you don't like it, then don't buy it. I would rather have the larger screen than having to squint at the other smaller versions.
Nintendo did good with this one.
... and yes I still own the bulky brick-like 1st generation DS! Now that is a mistake in your hands.

What's great about it: The LCD size is amazing.
I have purchased the Nintendo DS Lite in 1998 at BestBuy. Now the screen of this DSi XL has a very good screen size. Also the cameras are extra features. Don't forget you can't use anymore your old Game Boy cartridges due to the absence of this type of slot in the new DSi XL.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I wound up with the Burgandy after I had a problem with two different Bronze ones. So far this has been fun to play, I like Mario Kart and Bejewled Twist! My daughter loves the camera and to draw on the pictures she takes. The Brain Age express is a fun game to play once in a while, so it is nice that it comes preinstalled.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this system when I saw it advertised as the new, larger screen. I had been wanting a small portable gaming system but wanted something that wasn't so tiny for "older" eyes. This was it! Also it's a great size to hold, not too large, not too small. I am thrilled with everything on this system. I love to take it places where I may have to "wait" - it's not that bulky, you can toss it in a purse. There is a built-in holder for the stylus included with the system.
The brain training games included with the system give a great refresher on math, spelling, etc. We can all use that.
I purchased several games to use with it also. Mario Kart is awesome!
Problem is keeping it away from my college student so I can play!

This was definately worth the extra money to bump up from the previous Nintendo DSi. Our 6 year old loved it so much that we went out & bought another one for the 9 year old to replace his aging Nintendo DS Lite. Comes with 2 different Brain Age games & was ready to go upon opening the box. Glad we waited to see how big the device was before we bought a carrying case as it's much larger than we expected. Love the fact that we didn't have to buy all new games either. All in all, it was expensive - but you get what you pay for. Worth the money!

What's great about it: Huge bright screens, great list of games, SD card, fun camera and facebook uploads, sturdy, sexy, nice interface, wifi
What's not so great: bit heavy, web browser is near useless outside of Nintendo store, camera .3 MP
I love my DSI Xl, had a DS Lite and upgraded. I love the interface and storage of games/photos on the device and upgradable memory. The big screens are awesome and the system is solidly built. The camera is fun for closeups and has cool features and uploads right to facebook. It's too bad they didn't upgrade the camera to at least .5 or 1 MP since the .3 is a year old and fit better for the original screen size. The wifi works great and getting on the DSI store and some websites is fine, but overall the web browser is pitifully slow and has no flash software so keep your smart phone. For $20 more then standard DSI it's definitely worth it to go big unless you are a kid trying to carry this in your pants pocket, great for backpacks though.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: It is not possible to watch youtube videos or use skype....
I believe they could use the dsi xl as a communication device by adding skype or making movies playable at netflix.
It is a lot of fun. The value is great and the outcome even better.

Because I love Nintendo products, this was an easy choice for me. From Gameboy to Gameboy Advanced to Nintendo DS to the bigger and better. I am impressed with the new scrolling screen and no doubt as a 54 year old with fairly decent vision, the bigger screens are wonderful.
I take it every where with me; doctor's appointments, shopping, any place I may have to wait for a few minutes. And though I have both Brain Games already, it is nice having them built in. I don't always need to carry games with me. And becasue I have read enough to know that performing mental calculations helps to keep your brain healthy, this is a good form of entertainment. Great job, Nintendo.
