This monitor is awesome..bought it for my son's new computer..got it on sale for 99.00 after shopping around...the colors are smooth and the resolution is unreal..this is my second acer monitor and they don't dissappoint

The picture on this monitor was pretty decent, but it went out a few days over 3 months.
Avoid this brand.

got it on sale for 109.99. so about 120 with tax.
so far so good. easy hook up right out of box.
There is no product manual or installation 'booklet', just a 1-page diagram with drawings of where the plugs go and how to attach the monitor to the base.
There is a cd included which is worthless. I was expecting an installation cd or I thought it would take you through some sort of calibration, it just takes you to the company website.
The factory setting for the picture is acceptable. If changes need to be made, there are menu functions (some monitors don't offer menu settings)
This monitor does not have internal speakers. You need to have separate speakers.
To correct some reviews further down, the screen does tilt to help with viewing angle. It is a very sturdy connection to the base, so to tilt it you may need to hold the base firmly.
the power button and menu settings buttons are located near the bottom of the right side, and are touch-sensitive (there is no tactile sensation to the 'buttons') their location is very hard to see in low light conditions.
the monitor is 19 1/2" wide and 12" tall. the screen is 17 1/2" wide, 10" tall. very thin depth, about 3" at the middle. the base is oval shaped, 7" deep and about 9" left to right.
There is no product registration/warranty card or info in the box.
You need to go to the company website to register the monitor for warranty/recall concerns.

Although the picture quality and design leave much to be desired I really bought this monitor for the price. Using it for an extended desktop dual monitor it works just fine.
The screen doesn't tilt at all which is challenging and you can not adjust the height so that is a major draw back. Also when hooked up to my Mac it is very clear that the image quality is fairly poor. I would still recommend it as a spare or dual monitor though because of the low, low price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this monitor with a new computer so it looked amazing! the product was easy to set up and looks AMAZING!! the quality is realllly good. and 20inches?!?! whats not to like about it?! although $130 was a bit expensive for me, i never really buy monitors so i didnt know if this was a good price but i dont care this monitor is amazing! buy one! buy two!

I bought 2 of these for my nVidia GTS250 (1GB) and got a DVI to VGA converter. These look real sharp and have a really nice picture. Great monitors. I wasnt expecting much from them at first, but the display is awesome. Ran WOW lastnight in 3D mode, and the monitors performed perfectly. Usually i stick with another brand, have for years. These moitnors are my new brand. They are great. No dead pixels at all. easy assembly. Wall mountable. Whats not to love (besides the no DVI, who doesnt use DVI these days?!).
I would recommend this to a friend!
