What's great about it: Everything plus the gold edition add-on's that already come with it.
What's not so great: Nothing
In my opinion this was a very good game. Sure some may complain about the controls at the beginning but trust me after about 20 minutes you forget about it because it sets in your brain but the story just overpowers the complaint about control. One night me and my friend started playing and didn't like the controls that much but overtime we got used to it and the story also became more interesting along with being able to upgrade your weapons and unlocking new ones. I would absolutely suggest this to a friend it was AWESOME and very challenging, especially on professional mode.
This product has... Multiplayer friendly, Like to replay, Excessive violence
About me... Frequent player, Multiplayer fan, Hardcore gamer
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: only 1 participant can buy arms etc..
My 10 yr old kid learns a bit quicker then I but we.. but I'm a pretty good side kick. We've enjoyed hours and hours of this as we fight our way past Zombie Monsters and stage bosses.

What's great about it: 2 Player Mode, Easy Controls and playstation move compatible, Music
Great Horror Survivor+Action game. You can play solo or team up with a friend with 2 player mode. Desperate Escape adds a lot of action and Lost in Nightmares is just plain scary, in lost in nightmares they bring you the classic feeling of Resident Evil where it was more horror than action. Mercenaries Reunited is Ok , it just feels to overpowered against the enemies but its fun using different characters Gives you more fun even after you've beat the game.
If you can do without this modes than I would recommend you get Greatest Hits Resident Evil 5 for about half the price.

What's not so great: NOTHING
I PLAYED RESIDENT EVIL ON PS2 FOR A LONG TIME. BUT LIKE EVERYONE NOW DAYS, YOU ADVANCE WITH TIME AND WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE I PURCHASED THIS ONE FOR THE PS3. IT IS AMAZING. I WISH THAT THEY CAN REMAKE THE OLDER ONES FOR THE PS3. I WOULD LOVE TO PLAY ALL THE OLDER ONES WITH THE SUPERIOR GRAPHICS THAT COME WITH THE PS3....
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Gameplay
What's not so great: annoying partner character
I am a die hard RE fan from day one. I have been with RE since the launch on PS1.
I love this game and it is really fun. I am still getting used to the new controls for the PS3. I do have one complaint - my partner Sheva doesn't shoot enough or cover me when I'm being attacked. This can be alleviated by playing with a second player at home or someone online. I do enjoy playing RE alone and miss the days where it was a one player running around.
The second player does allow more item storage and some more action to keep her alive.
It makes you have to get better at the game to stay alive.
Overall - I love this game just like the rest of them.
Can't wait for RE 6 = Where's LEON?

What's great about it: Legnth, Graphics, Actions.
What's not so great: A.I., Bosses, Difficulty
This game has many up-sides and down-sides.
I'll state them below:
Up's:
- The fact that you get a partner is pretty cool.
- The graphics in this game are amazing.
- It's not dark all the time anymore.
Down's:
- The A.I. sucks terribly.
- There's not many weapons.
- This game is VERY challenging at times.
- There's a lot of bosses, and some are very hard to kill.
The Gold Edition is a lot better than the original, considering there's 2 other stories, and costumes, ect.
You should maybe rent this first. Unless you like Mutant-Like, Shooters with many challenges.
I would recommend this to a friend!

First off, I love that this game is Move compatible. I LOVE this game for use with the navi+motion controller combo. I am one of the "odd ones" who doesn't like to use a regular controller with this game. I like how I can use the motion controller as I would a gun, aim and shoot.
That being said, I like the selection of guns but for what they are (e.g. AK and Magnum) they suck worse than a bb gun until you upgrade.
The graphics are pretty good but the best part is two-player mode. I like the split screens and I like how one of us can venture off without having to worry about the other; unless they're getting killed, obviously :)
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Worth your money.
What's not so great: Short campaign
I've played this over and over with my buddy it's a good co-op game watching each others back to back. The gold edition makes it even better since it comes with Lost Nightmares which is how Jill Valentine was presumed dead. It's a great deal and worth the buy.

What's great about it: Unbeatable Price, replayability is SKY HIGH!
What's not so great: N/A
Lots of fun playing single or two player/online. With all the add-ons and extra content included for a few dollars more then the retail price of the original version. This makes Gold Edition a steal. Really impressed with how much extra content they loaded into this. Most Gold Editions dont offer much for the price, this is worth every penny.

What's great about it: Fun
What's not so great: Sucked with the PS3 Move
I had played and beat the regular Resident Evil 5, and bought this one because I got the PS3 Move, but I didn't care for the games play with it. I found it difficult to move around corners and look around them at the same time (strafe). They should have made the cross hairs stay centered in the middle of the screen, instead you use the thumb stick to look around and then aim your cross hairs around the screen. Over all I really liked the game, but only for use with the regular controller.

What's great about it: Graphics, co-op, Bonus content
What's not so great: Less scary than RE4
For starters this is the same exact RE5 but with bonus content. The game overall is enjoyable especially with a friend. The co-op system works great, but having a partner to rely on makes it less intense.
The bosses are fun but RE4 bosses were better and harder.

What's great about it: Graphics and Missions
What's not so great: Last mission
Great graphics and the missions are much more realistic than RE4
Good number of guns to use in the game, but could have more variety.
Would be better if we could carry more weapons. Fun game
