What's great about it: Easy to play and take along with you
Birthday present for son..Loves it..Haven't had it that long so we will see how it lasts..He plays in Jazz Band and will be taking it to competitions..Good alternative to the Axe if you don't won't to shell out that kind of money.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Great patches, excellent bang for the buck
What's not so great: Modulation bar hard to use when wearing the keyboard
I'm a bass player and primarily use the synth bass sounds for some funk songs my band plays. I wear the Lucina when playing those songs but also place it on a stand for adding a horn intro or piano break in other songs.
I'm very impressed with the battery life of the rechargeable batteries; however, I always turn the Lucina's power off between songs. I think I could easily get through 1 4-hour gig even if I left it switched on the whole time.
The patches are incredibly good given the price. They should be, though, as you can't add a sound card to supplement the existing patches. Roland did a good job of adding the most useable and sought-after patches; after all, this unit is designed for performance, not for studio work.
The keys have a very natural feel and respond nicely, even though I have larger hands. Navigation between favorite patches is very fast and easy. The special tones are great - I especially like the synth bass.
One nit to pick. The modulation bar is hard to use with your hand looped through the relatively narrow "handle" hole. You can do it by pulling your hand down so that only the tips of your fingers are operating the bar but that's rather clumsy and makes it hard to quickly transition to using the touch controller. It would help if the hole were a bit deeper front to back but, then again, I have larger hands so maybe it's only a problem for me.
Overall, I'm very happy with the Lucina. It gives me a very fun way to add some spice to my band's sound and I didn't have to pay dearly to do that.
