This has had a good battery life so far, and comes with a power source to plug into a cigarette lighter/power port in a car.

What's great about it: Easy to use. Light weight. Good color
What's not so great: a bit more money that I wanted to pay
Very flexible - use in the car, in the camper or hotel room.

What's great about it: It was easy for my 8 year old to operate.
What's not so great: Did not come with a carrying case.

What's great about it: reliable
We use this player for trips with our kids, whenever we drive more than 1 hours. It works extremely well. The battery life is pretty long, about 5 hours. The sound was loud enough. Picture quality is good too. Kids enjoy watching it. The best thing is that it's pretty reliable. We have used it for more than a year without any problem.

What's great about it: durable
Very happy with this item. The main user for this little player is my 3-yr old kid. So I'm very happy it didn't give me any trouble in the past year since I bought it. It's usually being used in my car. The screen contrast and brightness are pretty good so the watching experience with daylight is nice. The battery lasts about 5 hours, which is good too since we have a charger in the car

What's great about it: Quality of picture and like the 9 in screen
Once and awhile I like to curl up in bed and watch a DVD and since we do not have a player in bedroom this works just great for me. Plus works well for grand kids when they visit!

Going Strong After 2 Years!

What's great about it: Love the battery life... 5 hours!... And picture quality
What's not so great: No USB port but not a deal breaker
My family loves this dvd player so much we own two. One player is over two years old and the battery still operates at 5 hours! The other player is over a year old and is also used every single day. BTW, both players are mostly used until the player states to plug in the AC cord.
The dvd's look very good and the sound isn't too bad but with headphones you get great sound. I wish this had a USB port to plug in external speakers powered by USB. I have several great sets of USB speakers by Go Groove and they would make this player perfect for us without worrying about recharging the Go Groove speaker we use with it that plugs into the 3.5mm jack.
That being said, we love over Philips dvd player and would not buy another brand as no other brand we have researched gives you a 5 hour battery. I highly recommend this player... PS: If you can stand the wait, wait for the holidays and buy it when it's under seventy dollars! :-)

What's great about it: worked, good, charged easily, doesn't take up much room
What's not so great: Screen washed out in the sun, speakers are low for road noise.
We purchased this for traveling. It met our expectations. We were able to overcome the volume isssue by using the car speakers. It would help to have pockets in the case to carry the necessary cords that come with it.

What's great about it: Good battery life.
What's not so great: Not very good graphics.
For the price I was expecting slightly more TV like graphics instead of something more pixelated like a handheld gaming system, but the battery lasts for a long time and it's pretty durable so all in all not a bad purchase.

What's great about it: Good return policy
I picked it up from best buy, charged it and then realized it did not function right. Return was easy except for a second trip to the store. The returned item works well so far.

Frequently I have to sit in the car and wait for a meeting to start. Great to pass the time watching a movie I've missed.

What's great about it: Lightweight for traveling
What's not so great: Short Battery life
I was worried that the sound on this machine would be bad, as many of the comments on the site, remarked about the poor sound quality. That could not be farther from the truth. The sound was marvelous! My only regret is that the battery doesn't run for more than 5 hours. I had to stop & recharge the battery several times.

What's great about it: It worked for more than a month and still going.
What's not so great: Screen resolution
I had purchased a Sylvania model to take on vacation. We bearly used it before the vacation, but it failed to play DVDs consistently. This Philips player has been playing DVDs ever since we got it. The volume is loud. The screen is not high resolution so you notice the LCD grids if you keep looking for them, otherwise it is not a problem.
