What's great about it: It get's your creative juices flowing.
What's not so great: printing bug
I've been using this product since version 3 and it is always my goto program when I need to create anything. I find it to be a very well rounded piece of software. Lots of templates from scrapbook pages to iron-on tshirt transfers. I like how you scan directly into your project.
Version 5 does seem to have an issue with communicating it's settings to my printer. The program seems to not care what color/quality you choose, you'll get whatever the current setting is on your printer. The work around I do for this is to go into the page setup on my printer and make sure they match what I have setup in my design. Hopefully there will be a fix for this bug coming soon.

What's great about it: Best scrapbooking program
What's not so great: New version has a major printing bug
Scrapbook Factory 5.0 completely ignores printing preferences. My wife will print in greyscale for proofing, and prints our family newsletter borderless. This worked fine in SF 4.0, and still works in all other software, but it doesn't work at all in SF 5.0. Obviously the whole point of this program is to create things to be printed, so it's inability to print using the desired settings is a major flaw. We will be uninstalling 5.0 and re-installing 4.0 until it has been fixed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
