I bought these because they were so cheap and i wasnt expecting too much but when i got them and hooked them up i was way surprised, these things hit! I have 2 in a ported box hooked to a JL Audio 500 watt amp and these things pound. Ive been doing this stuff along time and honestly these subs are really good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: We now have oomph!!
What's not so great: can't think of anything here
Does what it's suppposed to do and that's give the heavy metal/hard rock I listen to some oomph! Would've rather had the 10 inch sub, but Best Buy didn't have any in stock! Not a major set back as I told them I wasn't paying the full price for this one when they had the 10 inch one advertised on sale, but not in stock. They let me have this for price of 10 incher!

What's great about it: Clean tight bass and loud deep bass
What's not so great: Low power handling
I have two twelves in an extended cab Chevy Colorado. They are pushing 600 watts @ 2 ohms. Great sound reproduction! Good response through all frequencies.

Car audio is something i am quite obsessed with i know just about everything there is to know about car audio and subs, and kicker comp series are by far the best subs for the price of course we can go spend $200 on a fi sub but for right now im gonna stick to my kickers

these subs suprised the heck out of me, they were half price for 40 something a piece so i though why not I need weight in the trunk anyway. hooked two of these up to a kenwood 1200 watt amp turned way down and they are pounding. i set a car alarm off a couple rows away the other day.

subs boom for the price. definitely a great buy a first system. really no complaints these thing kick so hard my entire car vibrates including my hair.overall a fantastic product-hooked up 2 of these too a 1000w kenwood class D amp. put them in a sealed box. still havent got the optimal power cuz its so cold dont wanna take a chance of cracking a cone

What's great about it: awesome price and real good bass
I installed it with a nonvented box n it sounds great. Its power its potency is so awsome. Cant beat this deal. I recommend this to anyone who just wants that good enough thump in ur system. Its connected to a sony headunit with an amp of alpine.

What's great about it: Quality from a know company
What's not so great: Its all Good and it gets better
This is just the best $49.00 spent on the new system. Followed the breaking period instructions and then cranked it up with Sony XPLOd 800 and 1 adjustment and its flat ROCKS in a small unvented box. Did not use the box that was included with the sale as free item because I did not want to be heard a block a way. Its was just installed for the bass to be heard in the truck at full range with mids and lows. Installed the KICKER between a set of 6x9's and a pair of 4x6's Sony XPLODS in the doors on of my Sierra. My wife thinks I'm crazy for that much sound in the back seat area but she was a grooving on the last trip down the FWY and did not complain of the loudness because it is so clear and crisp.

picked speaker up at store and had it right away. box was on back ordered for over a month then they discontinue my box and now stuck with only a speaker. good thing i was able to build a box to the kicker specs. it sounds amazing. i will never ever buy anything from bestbuy.com again horrible service long phone calls beats around bush and never gives direct answer. to just up and cancel or without trying to compensate is not good business. so long bestbuy.com

What's great about it: Price, Sound, Loud
What's not so great: NOTHING
Don't be fooled by the RMS, it's loud. Had it installed today. Not in the biggest box but this thing SLAMS. You can't really tell how it will sound in the showroom floor but in a car it is GREAT. Don't get me wrong, the type r is louder and clearer but it's not $50 (got it on sale). I have a 2011 Jeep Wrangler and it vibrates EVERYTHING!!!
Have it 10 rms underpowered too.

Really great subwoofer got it for one of my boxes and didn't think it would be any good for only 300 watts but was surprised it kicks really hard an sounds
More like 1500 watts. Don't be turned off by the amount of watts because it's better than that

What's great about it: dirt cheap on sale. low powered. impressive sounding satisfying beat it for 50 dollars and i want that sub.
What's not so great: large box volumes, 1.25 is the "Compact" size for it 3.25 is For Sound Quality. ya aint getting the lows with a trunk
Have 2 12 4 ohms on monoblock alphasonik amp. was surprised at the punchiness of these woofers.i was thinkin they were gonna suck but really like them. running 1.4 cu feet per chamber. other reviews have complained about not hitting the lows can see that mine doesnt hit real low in a fairly large sealed box but still sounds real good but get this in the manual it calls for like 3+ cu foot a chamber with poly fill for that deeper rolling bass so they expect us to put a 6+ cu foot box with poly fill in our cars if you want the lows.yeah. real good spl. low power demand. not murky but probably are if your under 1.25 cu foot. thats the smallest to run according to the manual. they call it compact enclousure thats not compact by todays standards. if you run 1.4 and up with fill and sealed its clean. for 50 dollars a piece you cant beat that boughten jls fosgates pbs pioneers never kicker but these impressed me for fifty bucks.
Do not go out of design paramters and expect it to sound good tho.

What's great about it: Cheap, Reputable, Punchy Bass
What's not so great: Looks Cheaply Made, Not great at lows for deep solid bass
Rated at 150 Watts RMS which Kicker products are usually underrated so it can definitely handle more power. Looks much better then the older comps but quality wise has decreased like almost most products out there. Has a somewhat foam looking surround which I'm not a big fan of. A very durable and hard constructed cone though which satisfied me. Rear sticker on the magnet was somewhat cheap and poorly places but not a big deal as it's only a sticker. Overall the sound is decent not solid as some others I've tried. More of a punch other than smooth solid deep sound bass in my opinion. Overall still a decent sub for the price but I would pick other subwoofers in the same price from perhaps Polk or Kenwood and many others.

Bought these a year ago and still work great. Got the buy one get one free deal and 4 year warranty. Have them in a ported box and running them in sync with an MTX Thunder 300XD amp which peaks at 600 watts and rms is 300. These paired with the amp hit very hard. My amp came with a remote and when it is turned all the way up everything shakes, can even feel my hair vibrate. Work great with all kinds of music. No problems yet. Great buy for my first subs and really worth the money.

What's great about it: It's Kicker product so it is under rated and reliable
What's not so great: Buying it from best buy, go somewhere else.
I purchased 2 of these online and got the buy one get one deal which is an awesome sale price for these. This is the second set of Comp 12s that I have owned and they are great. I pushed my first set with the ZX400.1 amp wired at 2 ohms and these subs could handle 3/4's of the 400 watt rms without distortion. This new set was bought yesterday and I paired them with the DX500.1. After being told by the Geek Squad that it would be $400+ for install I asked for a break down of what I was paying for because that is crazy high. He told me I would have to pay him $40 for him to explain what I was paying for. Anyway, I took the time to install it myself in my 2010 Honda Civic and it was really easy. Horrible customer service and overall bad business on best buy's part but the Kicker product is great.

I was lucky enough to pick up two 12"s for about $100 (buy one get one) and get a set of kicker earbuds as well. The subs work great! I have a 500WATT RMS Kenwood amp, running the subs in parallel @ 2 OHMs. Lows are good, some mids there, but not many. Only thing im missing from my sound system now are really nice mids, my highs and lows are perfect though!

I bought these when they were buy one get one free, and even though at the time I only wanted one sub, I'm glad I got two. I had a monster box built, 41" by 12" by 13". Its a sealed box divided into two, so each driver has a space. The amp is an 1100watt max 250watt rms Boss amp, and powers the subs quite well in my opinion. The only bad thing about these subs is they don't quite hit the low low bass. Maybe that would be fixed if I ported the box, but it sounds good with every other bass so I'm ok with it. Overall these are good beginner subs, they shake all the mirrors in my Bronco and I get looks from people next to me at stoplights when I've got the bass up. For the price I don't think there is anything better.

I bought this subwoofer about a month ago. I was really excited about the sub because it was the first one that I've purchased. I went into best buy and I was sold this sub and an alpine pdx 1.600m amp. What I wasn't informed of was that the sub that I bought was something pitiful like 150 watts RMS. The amp that the guy set me up was 600 watts RMS. I also bought an enclosure which I will shortly be writing a poor review for. I had to turn the gain on my amp all the way down and I wasn't very impressed with the sub. It sounded alright in the car, but when i opened the trunk it sounded so bad that I was embarrassed to show it to people. after owning it for a week, it blew and i had to return it. I guess that's what I get for buying a cheep sub from a dealer who doesn't know what they're talking about. I returned the Kicker Comp and bought an Alpine 12" type R and couldn't be happier. for the extra 150 bucks, it's totally worth it, and it hits harder than 2 kicker comps any day.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Allright, i recently bought 2 12 inch alpine single voice coil subs rated at 250 rms and 750 peak, well after playing with the gain for a little bit they blew, i was mad but i bought the warranty so i returned them and got the Buy One Get One Free deal with these subs, they only have 1 in stock so i only went home with one but they are getting another one in for me. So i went home and hooked it up...Wow...i was speechless, this sub by itself hits harder, cleaner then BOTH of the 2 alpines in my opinion in a ported box also. The Appearance just looks sick i dont know what else to say. And the power is really good hits the lows and everything very well recemend these to anyone! SO HAPPPPYY I GOT THESE!!!!!!!!! KICKKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got these on a BOGO deal and i love them, now i got 12 and im in a TC, so they r very loud, 10s would have been jus as good, but other then that these are great subs to get!
