What's great about it: Great product
What's not so great: Not needed
I bought this product with a new laptop off of Best Buy's website. I contacted their customer service to find out if I needed this form of Microsoft Office or if I just needed the product key code that was sold separately. They told me that I should buy this version, but when I started my new laptop I found that Office was already installed and all I needed was a product key.
Make sure you double-check to see if you only need a product key to activate Office if it's already installed on your computer, otherwise you're wasting another $100 like me.

My partner cannot live without Outlook and will not use another software. I have always liked the Office products and like the new features. Still a little pricey but overall worth it.

I had read the horror stories about the downloadable product and didn't want to deal with those problems so I purchased the disc. It's standard windows stuff, overpriced but still a useful product.

What's not so great: May have too much for the beginner
This is the best package for anyone who needs the common every-day workplace tools that are in demand. It has everything a user could want and a few extras that some may not use, but the more initiated may become familiar with.
I recommend this for anyone needing an all-around office suite. Has everything you'll need and is easy to use!

What's great about it: Rock solid and feature rich.
What's not so great: A bit non-intuitive.
I have found differences between this release and the prior one somewhat non-intuitive and confusing, but after getting down the learning curve and taking some of the tutorials, I'm sure I will get comfortable. The accomodation of prior levels is great, as usual.

What's great about it: It has all of the Office features
What's not so great: Word oaragroah numbering is still a mystery
So far, I have only used Outlook. I upgraded from Office 2003, so there is a biog change in the operator interface, the use of the ribbon, and finding all of the things I use to know how to do.

What's great about it: ability to tie emails with reminders and to do list-improved usageof word and excel over Vista
What's not so great: learrnig curve for me
I started with office and wanted to continue with it. I like the ability to have the Outlook program that has email with to do and reminders and am familiar with word and excel. Office 2010 in my opinion is an improvement over 2007. Cost to buy is high but I like it better than anything else on the market. Note, my wife still uses outlook express via XP and refuses to go with outlook. I used outlook from the beginning.

What's great about it: I like Outlook for email
What's not so great: The new menus could be made easier to find tasks
I have been using Office for years and wanted the latest verson for my new lap top and also install it on my desk top. Microsoft does a good job at controlling the retail price as no one sells it for any less than the $279 price.

What's great about it: Very powerful and easy to use.
What's not so great: Nothing that I can find.
I downloaded the trial version online and I was a little worried about all the reviews on here about if you buy the copy in the store, which I did, you would have trouble getting the product code to take. Well, I just went to my local Best Buy and got my copy. I pulled up the activation screen, typed in the 25 charater code and BOOM! First time was a charm. I have no idea why everyone is having problems with this.
Anyway, on to the version of 2010 Office here at hand. This is without a doubt the best version that Microsoft has ever released. Word, Excel and Power Point have never been more powerful and easy to use as now. And with One Note and Outlook in this version, you have all you will need for any small business solution. All of the tools are right here for you and simple to use. Along with Windows 7, Microsoft has a winner here. I would recommend this to anyone needing small business software. Buy it! You will be glad you did!
