What's great about it: size and speed
What's not so great: scratches easily
It's so tiny that it fits in my purse and take it along everywhere I go. I bought this to backup my files at home and it's really easy to use. I find it to be very fast too. The backup software is not that reliable or easy to use but I don't find that really important as I do not need to schedule my backups. I wish it had a longer USB cable...other than that, I'm happy with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Small, decent capacity.
What's not so great: The USB cable is a little short for desktop use, but can sit on top of a tower case.
We purchased this drive as a backup drive for a new system. It is smaller than I anticipated. It is very pocketable and runs quietly. The only weird thing is when the computer is in power-save mode the drive makes a subtle beeping sound. It might keep you up at night if you sleep with it in the same room. This can be solved by waking up or shutting down the computer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: No rubber feet.
This drive is faster than my 500GB WD external USB powered drive. The sale price of the 500GB Verbatim made it an excellent deal. And the 7 year warranty makes it an even better deal. My WD drive only had a 1 year warranty.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: SMALL SIZE!, price, capacity, light
What's not so great: The case could be designed a little better, but overall, I have nothing to complain about.
This is the smallest external hard drive I have ever seen, let alone owned, and yet it holds a whopping 500GB of secondary storage! For the price, you can't go wrong. I haven't owned it that long, but this comes with a 7 year warranty, and I think that this is the best deal you'll ever find on a portable external. My previous hard drive was one of the desktop ones that needs a separate power cord, and it was anything but portable. This one is one tenth of the size, and yet still holds the same amount of data. Technology is amazing. Buy this, put it in your pocket, and bring it everywhere, because you won't even notice it's there. It's about the size of an iPod touch, and it probably should cost just as much, but it doesn't, so get it while you can.
