What's great about it: Great for writing and sending monthly journals.
I have the black keyboard to match my black processor and black monitor. The incurve keys are very comfortable to use. The hyperfast scrolling makes it easy to navigate on my computer and on the internet.

What's great about it: Works out of the box
What's not so great: Nothing
I bought this keyboard/mouse combo about five months ago and it has worked perfectly from day one. I am still on the original set of batteries as well. I use this daily for about 10 hours a day as I work from home and this is the keyboard/mouse I'm using.

What's great about it: Unifying wireless with outstanding responsiveness and battery life
What's not so great: A bit pricey at retail, but well worth it in my opinion
I picked this combo up on sale mainly because I needed it for a new build and because... well, it was on sale. I couldn't be happier with my purchase thus far.
The keys are wonderfully silent although not as springy as I'm used to, but I like the feel of the keyboard and I'm adapting to it quickly. The LCD display is a nice touch for at-a-glance monitoring of the keyboard's various states, including battery level. The mouse included is the Marathon Mouse M705. It's a great mouse, albeit a bit small for my large-ish hand. I'll probably upgrade to a beefier Logitech mouse in the future (Unifying Technology will make that a breeze), but for now the M705 is fine for my purposes (which include marathon sessions with Starcraft II and Skyrim) . I had my worries about wireless, especially when gaming, but these units are just as reliable and responsive as any wired setup I've used in the past. I was planning on sinking a Benjamin into a "real" wired gaming mouse for increased performance, and I'm sure glad I didn't.
I've been a fan of Logitech peripherals for many years, and they have yet to disappoint me. This combo is no different. Great buy at the retail price, and a steal if you can nab it on sale.

What's great about it: Mouse fits hand. Keyboard works fine
What's not so great: Mouse locking up
I pruchased this Keyboard / Mouse set to replace an aging Microsoft set.
The first think I noticed is that the keyboard seemed thinner and flemsy. But that should not be much of a problems since it will sit on a desk all the time.
Setting up was fairly easy.
The keyboard works fine, no issues there. I did notice the keys ae a little closer together than my old Microsoft keyboard.
The mouse on the other hand has been problematic. It constantly locks up. I can be moving it and it will stop for several seconds up to 30 seconds. This becomes very annoying.
I will most likely take it back and try another Microsoft product if I cant find a resolution online.

What's great about it: Overall good product
What's not so great: Had some issues with HP laptop with ne keyboard
I have bought 3 of these keyboards. They are all great except for one. It seems to have some issues with my HP laptop. I had a faulty usb receiver which was replaced. Customer support was great except they sent the wrong receiver. After a few tries they got it right. The receiver worked for a few days then stopped again. It seems to work fine on other computers so I suspect its something in the HP rather than the Logitech. Either way, I like the keyboards and plan on continuing to buy them as needed. My wife also has 2 and likes them.

What's great about it: Ergonomics, feel, versatility
What's not so great: I don't like the mouse as much as the MX Performance mouse I bought to replace it.
I bought this for my Mac Mini. Both the Keyboard and Mouse work well except Logitech does NOT yet provide a Mac OS X driver for the keyboard. The keyboard still works (mostly) via a generic driver but some of the programmable function keys are are not available / don't work e.g. the calculator key. Also, the Logitech specific drivers are only used for the Mac OS X apps, the Windows VM uses generic drivers for the Keyboard and Mouse (nature of the Parallels VM).
Also, I run Windows 7 in a Parallels Virtual Machine on the Mac. I was surprised to learn the Mac keyboard does NOT have an "Insert" key. I was able to remap the keyboard so that the windows keyboard "insert" key sends an "insert" when in the Windows VM (as part of the Parallels VM configuration)..

What's great about it: The mouse is really good, nice flywheel scroll wheel
What's not so great: The low profile keyboard is very difficult to touch type on.
I purchased the MK710 mouse and keyboard combo locally from another store. I primarily needed a mouse but bought the combo with the unifying receiver. The keyboard had some nice features. I especially liked the LCD display that showed caps lock and num lock status. However that is about all I liked about it. The flat smooth keys made touch typing very difficult. I rarely look at a keyboard when typing, and typically just put my hands on the keyboard and type. Not with this keyboard, you really need to look just to get your hands in the right position. The low profile keys have very little spacing between them which makes it very easy to hit the wrong key and you don't get the tactile feedback of the edges of the keys as you type. It's really worse than it would seem. The function keys were small and had alternate functions for things other keyboards have dedicated alternate buttons for such as launching email. This was marginally annoying, but I could have lived with that. My daughter who normally doesn't use my computer used the keyboard for just a couple of minutes and immediately commented about the keyboard. I really don't see the need for the low profile desktop keyboard, other than to make it look cheap, and to make it cheap. The whole keyboard looks and feels cheap. On a laptop there is a reason to make low profile keyboards, but not for a desktop keyboard.
The mouse on the other hand I liked, for the most part. The mouse is ergonomic and fits reasonably well in my hand. It is still a little smaller than the Microsoft Mouse it replaces, but works much better. The mouse movement is smooth and accurate and doesn't have any of the lags that the Microsoft Mouse had when left idle. The scroll wheel has two modes, a free wheeling flywheel mode, and another mode with the more typically click stop. There is a mechanical button to switch between the two modes. In the click mode it works fine and as expected. The flywheel mode is really nice but has some minor problems that seem to vary by mouse (more below). The flywheel works really well, and lets you scroll really quickly through web pages and documents. You can still easily control where you are, as long as your finger is on the scroll wheel. However when you let go of the scroll wheel, even if it was stopped, it moves, usually up and makes the web page or document move from where you selected. If you are extremely careful, and slowly remove your finger from the wheel it will do it a little less. It almost feels as if the wheel is unbalanced and if you let go with a "heavy" part up it will roll down. The mouse click is a little quieter than the Microsoft mouse, which I strongly prefer. It is easier to click and makes much less noise. The two side buttons (default forward and back buttons) are fairly well placed. They are a little small and tend to be slightly difficult to press, but overall they are fine. There is another almost hidden third button on the side that you can hit with your thumb. It defaults to displaying all open windows.
I subsequently returned the keyboard and mouse combo and bought the mouse by itself from Best Buy. While it is the same model, it seems much better and doesn't seem to roll by itself after you let go. There is either slightly more friction (although it still spins very freely), or is better balanced. Whatever the case it is better than the same model that was bundled with the keyboard. It does have some jitter though. When you let go of the scroll wheel it will sometime jump one click back and forth for a few times and then settle down.
So the summary is that I really didn't like the keyboard at all. While it had some nice features, the main feature of typing was in my opinion horrible. The mouse however I really like. Yes, the scroll wheel can be finicky and sometimes annoying, but overall the mouse is really good, and MUCH better than the Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 that it will be replacing.

What's great about it: Ease of use, functionality, and features
What's not so great: That I didn't buy this one in the first place
I bought this product to replace a competitors product that didn't work out. The drivers were easy to install with the included CD, and I was using the combo within minutes of getting it out of the box. The keyboard has it all: hot key combinations for 90% of what I use my computer for. The pad at the bottom is very comfortable and ergonomic. A dashboard at the top of the keyboard clearly displays which "Lock" keys you have enabled, as well as a battery monitor. Overall the keyboard is sleek, very user friendly, and I've had no problems with missing keystrokes (unlike my last wireless keyboard/mouse combination). Speaking of the mouse, it has a variety of functions that make navigation a breeze (i.e. a side button lets you easily switch between windows you are working on). Two scrolling speeds are available that can be switched by simply pressing a button up top. It's light, responsive, and also has a low battery indicator as well. One of the more creative features is a space by the batteries in the mouse to store the USB for when transporting the mouse and keyboard on the go. The USB by the way is tiny, but has no problem picking up commands from the keyboard and the mouse. I don't usually write reviews on products, but I was so happy with this keyboard/mouse combo that I felt compelled to.

What's great about it: Keyboard, battery life
What's not so great: Flimsy mouse, no scroll click
Easy setup, battery life is great, agree with other reviewer on why not use bluetooth? Mouse seems to be lightweight and somewhat flimsy. Was using a Logitech MX620 wireless mouse and standard corded keyboard. Purchased this to replace both. The mouse weighs half as much as the MX620 and is not well suited to gaming at all. "Right-click" doesn't always register. No "clicking" action on the wheel. Mouse size is midway between a full size like the MX620 and a laptop travel mouse.

What's great about it: Unifying receiver, quick connects, battery life and good feel.
What's not so great: Legs move easily on keyboard. Button placement/functionality on mouse might be annoying. Unifying receiver vs bluetooth
I think the unifying receiver is a good idea but a unecessary one. They could have just used bluetooth, but they want to make it proprietary.
This is a knock on logitech. The item itself is very good. The mouse is decent and has a large button on the left side. This by default shows all open windows. While it is a good feature, you find yourself touching that button my mistake (especially when shutting it off). The wierd scroll button is trash. I rather that been search or something else. The keyboard has a good feel, but the legs move when you don't want them to.
I think that they need to start designing these type of keyboards to be smaller. When using it wih a HTPC on a lapdesk, it is still a bit big.
Overall I would recommend especially when on sale.
