I'd been searching for a counter-depth refrigerator for some time to replace a GE Hotpoint fridge which has always collided with my dishwasher door. I found this Frigidaire model at a great sale price at my local Best Buy thinking it may finally solve the geometrical issues of my kitchen and at a price I could stomach. Long story short: even this model won't fit properly. Best Buy was great about allowing me to swap it for a narrower Samsung without hassle and told me to use this one like my own for the two weeks it would take to get the new one here. It is a nice fridge (when working properly) and I would've loved to have kept it until... A few days ago, I came down in the morning to find the freezer temp, set at 2 F, was at -12 F. I went to adjust, and the 2 F setting was intact. Powered the unit off and the fridge adjusted to 2 F. Came down this morning, and it was -14 F in the freezer. Repeated the process to re-establish the 2 F setting. Came back from work today and the freezer was 38 F. I won't discuss the third largest body of water in Denver that was formerly the bottom of my freezer. Pulled the plug for a few minutes and the fridge started heading back down to 2 F. My final two points: 1) I did some research and it appears that this model has a temperature board issue that Frigidaire is apparently aware of. An inconvenience, especially for a new product costing north of $1000 that you may need to prepare for; and 2) I tried to alert Best Buy that they had a lemon on their hands before they collect it later this week. They didn't appear concerned. So if you like looking for open-box items, beware, because this could be yours.

What's great about it: Expensive look for half the price
What's not so great: loud ice maker
It certainly full fill all the basic functions of a fridge: keeping things cold or frozen, make ice and dispense filtered water. The design and exterior finish are comparable to other brands at twice the price. In side, because this is a counter depth design, it make some interesting trade offs in bins and shelves design. In exchange for really smaller door bins, you gain extra deep (for a counter depth unit) drawers and shelves. The unit runs quiet except when the ice maker drops fresh ice into the ice bin.
I ordered through BBY's web site and everything went smoothly including delivery, installation and hauling away the old fridge.

What's great about it: Doesn't stick out much past the counter.
What's not so great: Fewer door shelves than a regular sized fridge.
We've had this fridge 6 weeks and it's been working nicely. Lettuce & spinach not kept in the veggie/fruit bin winds up freezing but it stays fresh for a week or two if put in the bin. The only noise we can hear is the ice dropping. The amount of space is adequate for a small family and it fits nicely in our kitchen. We have not had any problems so far and are pleased with our purchase.

I've had counter depth refrigerators for many years. They look much better than the big ones between cabinets and the somewhat smaller capacity has never been a problem. I've got a KitchenAid in another house but I thought I'd take a chance on this Frigidaire for my new home despite concerns about why it's half the price of the KitchenAid and a third the price of some on the floor at Lowe's and Sears. Well, I couldn't be happier. It does everything that the more expensive ones do and is the quietest refrigerator I've ever owned except when the ice drops into the basket if it's empty. It was delivered when promised, which was actually Chrisatmas Eve, and the guys were very efficient and connected the ice maker just fine.

The fridge has met my expectations so far, was a great price and is working fine. And I either got duped and was delivered a "stainless look" that I can't even tell the difference or something about this stainless lets magnets stick which my 1 year old is quite happy about. Have had no problems except that the fridge does roll forward about an inch. The guy who installed said once it's full it wouldn't do that but that's not the case. Doesn't bother me though and I can't say for sure that's a function of this fridge although the fridge this replaced didn't have that problem and was the same dimensions..

The ice ejection from the door seems to be a little more powerful than necessary. Spacing for standard bottles is a little off in terms of where you can put your shelves, and what you can get in the door.
It's a simple double door with the extra features on the door, but that is what we wanted. For the price and what we received, we are happy. You get what you pay for. I'm sure that if we had paid more, the little issues that we have had would be unacceptable, but we are adapting, and are happy.

First off, I ordered 3 appliances through Best Buy Online and will NEVER order anything through their online service again! The experience of the order process and deliver and issues afterwards has been a nightmare. I could go into detail, but would literally take pages to explain the horrible experience from start to finish. Next time I will go to the store and order through them directly, which has always been a good experience.
Second, I did some research and this was an excellent price for a counter depth fridge at this quality. I don't regret buying it, but there are definetely some issues that I'm sure would be better in other products but costing a lot more as well. Cons: the ice comes out really quick, the stainless steel leaves a lot of fingerprints (but it's easy to clean), the drawers seem very cheap and are hard to pull out and push in. Pros: looks great for the price and fits perfectly within the cabinets/countertops.

What an extremely disappointed BB customer am I! First of all, I placed an order at the BB store for this appliance - set up a delivery date while there as well. The day before it was to be delivered, get a call from the delivery company (not from BB) telling me the item is backordered and would not be delivered the next day. Was told by the delivery company that I needed to call BB to get a new delivery date. Which turned out to be A MONTH LATER. Wasn't very happy about this, but what was I to do? I needed the appliance and theirs was the best deal.
If I had known then what was going to happen with this darn appliance, I would've canceled the order and purchased another brand immediately. Since day 1, there's been nothing but problems. The water tasted funny, the ice cubes too. Followed all instructions about running it through many times to get rid of the taste. Still disgusting. Changed the water line - still the same. Hurricane Irene reared her ugly head in my area and I lost power for 2 days. The entire dispenser area on the front of the freezer door proceeded to drip with water. I chalked it up to maybe there being a couple of cubes in the hold area. Only to find out - there was no holding area. Why the flood of water? Oh wait - it gets better.
A couple weeks later I wake up to find my entire brand new kitchen floor (we did a remodel) flooded. The culprit? The water dispenser decided to dispense on its own. The lever wasn't jammed. No one was holding a glass or anything else by it overnight for 8 hours! My husband and I actually witnessed the motor begin to run and the water pour out all over the place. So we shut off the water supply. Called Frigidaire who gave us #'s to local appliance centers. Service rep came out and turned off the ice maker function as well telling us that it would burn up since no water was being fed to it. He said it was an electrical issue in the circuit board and parts would need to be ordered. (Still waiting for those to come in...)
Now mind you, there is no water being fed into the appliance. No ice being made. No water / ice being dispensed. Zip. It's back to being just a refrigerator & freezer. The features we bought it for aren't even being used. (Why did I pay so much again?)
I come home from work yesterday to find my floor flooded - again. HOW?!?!?! Apparently whatever ice cubes were left in the bin magically jumped through the dispenser and melted all over my floor! HOW?!?!?! No one was there to press a lever, no one was in the house at all. Either I have ghosts or there is something seriously wrong with this stupid machine.
Hopefully... (tick tock)... the part(s) will arrive very soon to fix whatever this problem is. But I've only had this appliance for 2 months. Two stinking months and I can't even use it to the full extent.
The only pluses? It does have a decent amount of room on both the refrigerator & freezer sides.
The other negatives? It runs loud! The top light in the refrigerator - if you don't have something tall in front of it, it's blinding. I'm 5'6" and that's an average height for women - the light literally makes my hand jump up to block it as soon as the door is opened. Yikes! The first drawer emitted an insanely loud pitch squeak whenever it was opened or closed. I asked on Frigidaire's FB page how I can fix this and got no response. So I googled solutions and found out that rubbing some candle wax on the parts scraping together would do the trick. (It worked, but why should I have to do this in the first place?)
I'm truly, truly, truly disappointed with this product. And now I feel that I'm stuck with it for the next who knows how many years. I can't return it to BB because it's over the 30-day limit and I shouldn't have to pay a restocking fee for a piece of garbage that isn't MY fault of all its issues. Frigidaire is worthless in responding to customer requests / complaints. So lesson learned. I will NEVER buy another Frigidaire / Electrolux appliance again. I'll stick with GE or LG which have always performed perfectly for me. (Too bad neither of them had a refrig/freezer that fit where ours needs to be. I wouldn't have had to annoy you with this loooong review / rant.)
P.S. - Still confused why Best Buy didn't advise me of the item being backordered and why I had to learn that information from their delivery company. And why Best Buy didn't call ME - I had to call THEM to set up a new date, which they weren't very flexible about.

We bought this counter depth refrigerator sight unseen. They did not have a sample in store. We were thrilled when it arrived. The finish is beautiful and finger print free...even with my two young sons. The display looks great and it's easy to use all the buttons. The water and ice work great and taste really clean. The delivery team was fast and professional. I cannot think of one negative thing to say. Love it!

I was skeptical because my previous fridge's (expensive Maytag) compressor gave out after only 3 years of service costing over three hundred dollars in repairs and then the fridge stopped working again 1 year later.
However this Frigidaire is a superior product. Even the rollers (casters) roll with ease and didn't scuff my hardwood floors. It's quiet; it cools exceptionally well (evenly without freezing food) and it looks great.
Extremely pleased with the overall quality; performance; appearance and price (especially because it's cabinet depth).
Thank you Frigidaire and thank you BestBuy for providing this refrigerator to your customers.

I wanted a counter depth fridge, I got that for a decent price. The "chill" drawer, where I put cheese, is very cold. Sometimes the cheese is frozen. This fridge is small, if you have a bunch of kids invest in a larger fridge. But for me it works well, ice and water are good and it fits well into my kitchen design. Another reviewer said the drawers felt cheap, I agree and I had to put some plumbers grease on them so they would open and close easier.

One Problem - Although the width is only 60", it requires a lot more for the doors to open. Not a problem with cabinets on both side of the fridge, but we have a wall along one side. We had to take down and reconfigure our cabinets to accommodate the door opening. Major hassle.
Also, we didn't like the cover/shelf over the ice maker which prohibits you from reaching in to get ice. (When you quietly want a few cubes late at night). We just removed and stored the ice cover/shelf.

So far so good with this. It works fine with no problems. The stainless steel is particularly nice in not showing a lot of fingerprints. Temperatures are consistent. Icemaker/water works fine.

after having the fridge for 2 weeks, the temp on the freezer went down. tried to adjust it to the right temp but to no avail. It was suspected to be the computer board ( or not). I was so tempted to get a better brand but i will give this another shot. Can't blame really the brand for one bad experience..... could be just that i was the unlucky one to have experienced the incident.

What's great about it: Price was reasonable but I did get it on sale for about $1,000.
What's not so great: Ice/water dispenser not made for small mouthed cups.
First, I LOVE the fact this refrigerator is smudge-proof. It is effortless to keep it looking nice. It has good storage space despite the fact it is counter-depth. The motor runs quietly. The only negative is the water/ice dispenser. The ice dispenser sometimes shoots out a bunch of crushed ice first when you are trying to get cubed (I never even use the crushed ice). Can get messy if you're trying to fill a re-usable water bottle or smaller mouthed cup/glass due to the smaller opening. Also, the water dispensing nozzle should be closer to the lever. I have to tilt my smaller mouthed cups towards me while pushing on the lever with the bottom of the cup to dispense water, otherwise the water doesn't make it in the glass. If you have large mouthed cups then neither ice or water issue would be a problem for you. The meat chiller drawer could be a bit bigger. But overall it's a good refrigerator so far. I've had it for about 3 weeks now.

What's not so great: The squeaky drawers and fingerprints.
Love the look, although all of the fingerpints show up on it. We also have had more than our share of frozen fruit in the top drawer. Still working on the intricasies, but the frig fits the space and the rest of the applicances perfectly. Oh yeah, you may need to oil the rails of the drawers unlike you like that "fingernails on the chalkboard" sound.

What's not so great: The size and the ice maker that clogs!
Very small freezer and refrigerator. The ice maker clogs, which results in a mess all over the floor when you open the freezer door.
