Love Best Buy... Hate Mitsubishi... My screen is covered in WHITE DOTS... I was told there are no pixels to burn out (thats why I went DLP not LCD) well now my screen is covered in Dots. Just read the Mitsubishi DLP defective reviews online (even check the facebook page).

What's great about it: Picture, Intuitive controls and menu setup for sound, picture, etc
What's not so great: Speakers are good. A bar or surround sound system would make this class A
Had for almost two years now. I was in Best Buy ans saw the 72" in this model and I was amazed at the picture quality compared to all the other LEDs and Plasmas and for the 3rd of the price. Plus it has the 3D technolgy built in. DLP technology has greatly improved due to screen whitewash if the room is too bright, and that is where plasmas and LEDs are best, however, I have a big familiy room with 6 windows behind us and with them open on a bright day may dim the screen some but not much. However, with the room semi bright to dark the picture is unbeatable and the options to cature the picture quality you want is nice. Neighbors and Friends cannot believe how good the picture quality is and when I tell them the price they are amazed. I researched this TV throughtout many reviews and BLOGS and most all owners love this TV. The ones that didn't commented on the picture but I believe in contect their TV may have been a bad apple and that can happen with any product. I highly recommend and with the price it is now, I would conside getting another one for the Familiy room downstairs.

What's great about it: Everything (except speaker sound)
What's not so great: Speaker Sound, get a seperate Surround Sound
I have owned this Mitsubishi 60" DLP for 2 years now with ZERO issues AND I use the TV daily about 8-10 hours. My previous HDTV was a 65" Mitsubishi rear projection CRT (weighed 200lbs) and I sold it (still works and is 8yrs old). This 60" DLP HDTV weighs about 70lbs, has a GREAT picture (HD and SD), easy to tune/set up, its 3D ready (if I want to upgrade) and has been a perfect TV since day 1. I get compliments constantly on the HD picture for Blu Ray and HD channels (movies, sports, etc).....people love watching HD NFL games at my house. I have to say for the money, it is a dynamite HDTV and after setting on a stand and hooking up Surround Sound you will have quite the Home Theater. Honestly, SD channels look great too, which can look fuzzy/grainy on these LCD or Plasma sets. Not on this DLP, the SD channels are great and sharp, HD channels are mind blowing crisp and clear. If you have the extra $$, go for the bigger 65" or 73" models. I really wanted the 65" when I bought mine, but it was running about $1700 at the time 2 yrs ago.....the 73" model was like $3000. Now, the prices are much better.

What's great about it: large picture
What's not so great: Buttons too close together on remote
I will write an unbias review off what friends say. A better quality picture than everyone elses. better than plasma which 1 friend paid $3500 for a 50". its light 70 lbs. many features, no one believes I paid $999 for this, 2 friends went out and brought a 60" and a 65". I feel for the $ you have to get one. cons, not internet connectable, after power turns on about 40 seconds to start up, I can live w/ that. I will be getting the 72" with my taxes.

What's great about it: Big, cheap, GREAT picture,
What's not so great: Completely unreliable, firmware is glitchy,
I've had three so far. The first one was dead on arrival, it was replaced. The second one got the "flashing green light of death" two weeks after it replaced the first TV. The third one has lasted 6 months, but it's showing the familiar signs that it's about to die. One of the 3 HDMI inputs has randomly stopped working. It's worth noting the the delivery guy said "I'll see you in a month," referring to the fact that the television WILL die soon. He said that he has to replace them constantly. If I could do it all over again I'd sacrifice the extra money for a better quality TV. I've literally never be so let down by a product before in my entire life. I could have thrown $1000 in my fireplace and felt just the same about how I used my money.

What's great about it: FIrst 2 years
What's not so great: Worthless after that
If you only plan to use this TV for 2 years, it's a great buy. After that it's an enormous room ornament. When the bulb dies, no big deal, but do a Google search on Mitsubishi DM Board and trust the results. Don't trust the sales agents, just type "Mitsubishi TV Sucks" in any search engine and learn for our mistakes.

What's great about it: Excellent quality
What's not so great: Jacks on the back panel are not color coordinated
I have had a Sony projection TV before and really like it, but have never owned anything by Mitsubishi.
It isn't very heavy. I could move it by myself. Even my 5' 100lb wife could lift her end with no problem. It takes a few minutes to warm up, but that is pretty standard with projection. The picture stays clear even if you move off to one side. It will blur if you are sideways from it but if you are viewing it from an angle in your living room it will still be clear.
The jacks in the back are not color coordinated to standardized audio/video wires and it takes some experimentation to find the right jacks for dvd and game consoles.
Power cord is a nice length.
Love, love love playing video games on it. Sound is good, but for real deep and wide sound be sure to add a home sound theatre system.

What's great about it: Price and Size
What's not so great: Picture, remote, lack of picture settings, noisey
I purchased this tv 11-26-10 through amazon and got it for 600. I bought it due to reviews on this site and others, but when I got it home had a few issues. The picture is good, but not great and the menu for picture settings is very limited almost feel like you don't have one. I have a 50inch Samsung lcd and sold a 42inch Hitachi plasma to get this for the bigger screen. The picture is not as bright or as good as either listed above and in hindsight I wish I would have gone with bigger plasma. The blacks on this are not very good and there is a buzzing noise coming from the back when it warms up that gets very annoying. The value is excellent even with not knowing when the bulb will go. Also, was going to return but had to keep because they wanted so much. (More than half the tv price)The tv is large and attractive and I don't mind the depth because I have the space, but wish I would have spent few hundred more and gotten something different.

What's great about it: low price for large screen
What's not so great: lousy reliability and high repair cost
I bought my mitsubishi a little over two years ago. Cheapest way to go for a large screen tv. No problem until recently, started getting white dots showing up on the screen. I took it to the service shop and was told that the optic engine was going bad. $1300 to repair. I found out that mitsubishi had extended the warranty on some models to 3 years, but not on mine. I have checked the internet and found a lot of people having similiar issues with mitsubishi. They will not stand behind the product. So make sure you get the extended warranty thru best buy if you decide this is the tv for you.

What's great about it: Picture quality, price, 3d ready
What's not so great: 3d kit is pricey.
I, like probably most tv purchasers, was looking hard at lcd and plasma's. I was literally pulling out what hair i had left trying to decide what size and brand and type of flat screen to buy. Samsung vs panasonic vs sony etc...
Well, along comes cyber monday and for the ridiculously low price of 599$ from here plus ship/handle I was out less than 7 bills for this set. I went on what reviews i could find and about the only main complaints was bulb replacement and poor sound. I couldn't actually look at one so I was a little apprehensive as to what I could expect when recieved.
Well!, this sucker arrived yesterday via truck from best buy. The guys brought it in and put it where i wanted it, was told to wait a few hours for the set temp to warm up b4 turning on (freezing cold out). After waiting with baited breath and in complete awe as to the size of it (had a 26:"), I hooked up HD dish feed and turned on.
WOW!!!! The picture is just amazing! I tweeked a little with the settings but out of the box this thing rocks! Yeah, non HD shows are a little grainy but its 60 big inches! The lcd's and plasma's didin't look half as good as this at this size. HD channels just blow me away. Monday night football was superb! Very little pixelation or blur. My friend has a 50" samsung plasma that looks horrid compared to this mitsy. I have yet to hook up my xbox but i'm betting it'll be amazing as well. The blueray is on its way as well so if it doesn't look as great as i'm thinking it will i'll update this.
Oh, the sound seemed perfectly fine to me, i upped the bass/treble a bit, but i'm not complaining about it. I'll be hooking up to SS system for when i want great sound. The sound out connections sucks but most dish/cable/dvd players/etc have their own sound outs that are more common anyway. So you have to replace a bulb every 1-2-3 years to get a brand new set. No big deal. Go spend 3 times the amount for similar size lcd/led so you don't have to replace a $100 bulb.
I'll probably get the 3d stuff eventually just because, but for the 'you can get it for ' price of ~$300 setup for glasses i'm not biting ....yet..
I've written a novel, sorry.
IN SHORT, GO BUY IT! Worth the reg. price of 999 and a steal for anything less.

What's great about it: The size & price.
What's not so great: There seems to be a second or two lag time when changing channels with the remote.

What's great about it: intro cost is fairly cheap
What's not so great: short bulb life.. expect the bulb to last at best year.. so at @$100 a pop its more a disposable tv
Had a sony 62" tv that was 10 years old and wanted to get HD... So this looked like a nice cheap replacement .. had it two years in oct my second bulb just failed. FYI they cost $100 a shot .. Its not like I beat on the tv or anything. I have the bulb turn down to nature .. which should save the bulb life .not seeing that. so if your looking for a nice tv that will only last you a year or three figure the bulb replacement cost and make the decision ... I can only guess the bulb prices will go up as years go on.. besides the costly bulb the tv is great has the nice 3D interface .... but if the bulbs don't last not sure I want to hook myself in on glasses that give me another reason to keep buying bulbs..

What's great about it: huge size, plug and play
What's not so great: lamp life!
This tv is awesome! It is a huge screen and its 1080p! If you watch something on a 60" in 480, its not pretty but 1080p is EPIC!
Pros:
-huge 60"
-light weight @ 60 lbs.
-3D!
-1080p!
Cons:
-60Hz(its okay if you dont watch Nascar or a lot of sports)
-sound quality(sound is a bit scratchy when watching movies on a high volume. To fix this you need a surround sound, I bought one for $40 with this TV and its very nice)
-LAMP LIFE!(Its only going to work for maybe 3000 hours. So if you watch more than 8 hours a day, its going to burn out in a year!)

What's great about it: Size. Fantastic picture. Easy setup. Low price.
What's not so great: Needs a competant home theater system to really shine.
Forget about the flat screen craze and think about it for a moment. Unless you really need to hang your set on a wall, you are most likely going to be placing your next TV on a stand that's probably deep enough to hold A/V components. This unit is relatively light and fits on those very same stands. What you will save is the premium of a flat TV and you will receive the same (or arguably better) picture quality that is outstanding with HD cable/dish programming, gorgeous with Blu-Ray discs and virtual eye-candy with gaming. The only downside with this particular set is that it is no frills. Do not expect a nice remote or great sound, it is best integrated into a HDMI equipped 5.1/6.1/7.1 home theater system. And although it is 3D ready, you will have to buy a pricey emitter and glasses kit to realize this new feature. But if you just want a big 1080p capable TV to watch the game in high def, you can not lose with this unit, and you will save hundreds of dollars over a similarly sized plasma or LCD and not miss a thing.
