What's great about it: no cables anywhere
What's not so great: does not transmit 3D
This was great as you do not have any cables anywhere. Great for HD the down side is that it does not transmit 3D signals that is the ONLY thing that I wish it did if so I would put one on all my TVs

What's great about it: Easy to set up, great signal so the quality of picture is not diminished
The LG wireless media box which is free with the purchase of some LG televisions, helped in saving the cost of installing a cable outlet above the fireplace. It was very simple to set up. I have my cable box and blu-ray player connected to the media box and I have all of the equipment in an audio cabinet located on a different wall than the fireplace, but in the same room. The picture quality is fantastic and the rate of speed the picture is transmitted from the wireless box to the tv is just as fast if not faster than if the cable line was hooked up directly to the tv. Also note that the wireless media box is powered on simultaneously with the tv, unlike what was mentioned in a previous customer review.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Sleek look and easy to use

I got this for free with my tv and had no idea what it was supposed to be used for. When I read the manual, I pulled everything off my tv and hooked it all up to the wireless box. It was extremely easy to set up and makes the tv look even better since I have it in the corner of the room hidden away. The only con is you have to walk over to it to turn it on, but if it's not far away it's not a big inconvenience.
I would make sure and take advantage of the offer of getting this free with the tv. It's a nice little addition.

What's great about it: Easy to use, convenient, looks sharp
What's not so great: Bigger than expected, about the size of a small DVD player so requires shelf space
As the other reviews have noted, right now you can get this device for free, so take advantage b/c the $200 is a little too much! I have two big points to make. First, I bought a low profile mount for my TV, so it would have been extremely difficult to hook up new devices without taking the TV off the wall. You have to take your TV off to mount the wireless connector to it, but after that the TV never needs to be moved again. Second, if you want the flat screen but aren't using an HD cable box, a coaxial cable will likely cause a very fuzzy picture on your TV. However, hooking your box to the wireless device provided me with a much clearer, more than acceptable picture. No more fuzziness!
I would recommend this to a friend!

It reduces wire clutters behind your big screen TV. The one thing I wish is a physical on/off switch.

What's great about it: Consolidation of cables

When I purchased my LG TV, this was a free item that came with it. First off, it is easy to setup and I haven't had any issues at all. It's really nice to have all the cables in one place and not sticking out the back of the TV. Because was free, I'm really happy with it, however, I can't see paying $200.00, to buy it. That being said, if you want to mount your HD TV on the wall, this is an excellent buy. Not having all the cables hanging from the TV, makes it an excellent addition to your LG TV.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: It doesn't work more than 5 feet away from the TV.
I bought an LG LED TV because it came with this (Nifty) Wireless Media Kit. When I installed it originally, everything worked fine (From 5 feet away). Once I moved it into my Media Closet located 20' away, it stopped working and won't work like it should.
I guess the only question I have is why would you make a device that is such a great idea that doesn't work as promised?
I'm totally confused myself, but buyer beware!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had no idea what it was, it came free, but it's a great addition and handy to have. I can hide my cable box and dvd player with the infrared blasters, and the TV looks a lot better mounted without all the wires.
