Good idea, terrible make

I used it 5-7 min a week for less than a year. It started leaking from under the rotating shaft. The most important part of the unit is poorly made. The rubber gasket does not look reliable either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just terrible. Absolutely gutted. Not a cheap item and doesn't do as it says. It doesn't chop onions it mushed them. Had to throw them away. Doesn't grate cheese it just clogs up and had to throw that away . It certainly doesn't chop veg carrots etc. The only use it has really is whipping cream and making smoothies and soup. It basically blends . Well how expensive to buy when I already have a blender.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broken!

Ive had my magic bullet for less then a year and do not use it on a regular basis. This morning I could smell burning plastic and the blades stopped spinning. When it took it off the plastic rotator had completely sheared down and the rubber underside of my blade was filed off. Not happy about that at all. And less happy that I could find a contact number for complaints!

Great Little Product

I purchased this original Magic Bullet in 2006 and it has been wonderful so far. I have made pancakes, ground coffee, peppercorns, made milkshakes, etc. I think the only thing it does not do well is chop vegies (especially onions). But I am so glad I purchased it.

I was really excited to get the Magic bullet because I was tired of having to get my food processor out of the cabinet and having it take up so much room in my very small kitchen.
Well, unfortunately it does not work as well. The blades aren't very sharp or maybe just too small to chopp even small amounts of garlic. When I try to blend a dressing, for example, pieces of onion or shallots don't breakdown. Its frustrating.
I am a chef and love efficient equiptment that can make my job easier, and unfortunately I would only use the MB for blending liquids.
