I bought the magic bullet thinking I would love it, but honestly, I don't. I bought it specifically to make frozen smoothies with, but it is not powerful enough to chop up the frozen fruits. I'm really disappointed and not sure if the one I got is defective, or if I just an expecting too much.

I loved my magic bullet so much for making protein shakes specifically and I used it all the time, until it broke! The motor unit continued to make noise but it wouldn't blend. I purchased another magic bullet and loved it as well until the same thing happened again! Unfortunately, these seem to have about a year to a year and a half life expectancy if using them weekly.

I got my Magic Bullet about a year ago. It was pretty good, but not great when I put frozen fruit in the cup which took a really long time to blend. Recently, I went to make a smoothie and it didn't seem to be blending well at all. I took the cup off the base, and there where shards of black rubber all over the unit. I cleaned it up and tried again - same thing. It seems like the unit was shredding the little rubber nubs that cause the blades to turn. Since the only thing I used the Magic Bullet for was smoothies, I really expected it to last a lot longer than it did.

Wore out after 36 months.

We bought this three years ago to make morning smoothies. One for me and one for my spouse, usually every other day. We used only fresh veggies, fruit, yogurt, and some cashews. No ice, no carrots, nothing that took an extra long time to blend up. The smoothies were great, but then the motor kept conking out and finally stopped working. It’s certainly cheaper than a Vitamix, but given that our blender lasted for over 10 years, I’m not impressed with how quickly this small appliance wore out, and don’t think I’ll be purchasing another.

I used it per instructions. It was really fantastic. But unfortunately the motor seized up after about 5 months. The accessories are still intact, which will still come in useful. I will buy a new one eventually, just a bit disappointed that i have to do so.

I have owned 4 magic bullets in the past 5 years. I am very pleased with the functions of the magic bullet and enjoyed using it to make smoothies. I am disappointed with the longevity of these blenders. We normally get around a year out of each blender before they stop working completely. This is deterring me from ever buying another magic bullet. Although I enjoy the use while they are functioning I cannot continue to pour dollars into a device that is not reliable.
