Reduced energy costs

I cook all of my own food for myself. Sometimes in the oven and sometimes in the toaster oven and it has definitely helped lower the energy bill. I can make things a lot quicker and it doesn't take as long to warm up as a regular oven.
I was given a sample to try

The Oster 4 Slice Toaster Oven gets the job done. It's easy to use and heats up quickly. I think it's a great thing to have for warming up leftovers since we don't use a microwave in our home. The downside, would be that its flimsy and gets very hot. I don't know if this toaster oven will stand the test of time, but definitely does its job for the price!

The Oster 4 Slice black toaster oven gets 3.5 stars from me because although it fell below my expectations, the design, size and simplicity make it slightly more appealing than not. The packaging states that the toaster over is for 4 slices of bread, but visually it seemed smaller and when put to the test, barely fit 3 regular size slices. The Oster 4 Slice black toaster oven's compact, sleek, attractive design, takes up less counter space and adds to the kitchen decor, rather than detracting from it. It is easy to operate and heats up rather quickly, but the first thing I realized was that there was no guard on the handle or the glass door to prevent users from getting their knuckles burned. I was also disappointed that the crumb catcher is too small for the bottom of the toaster oven and has no lip so that all of the crumbs fall off as it is being removed. I would only recommend this product to someone just moving into their first apartment, or to someone that has never used a toaster oven because it is simply made and easy to operate, but only after fair warning that there is a higher chance of being burned by the door. I have previously used and owned other toaster ovens. The Oster 4-Slice is about average in overall performance, above average in value and slightly below average in quality, making me believe that the designers should have focused less on the appearance and more on the quality. I received the Oster 4-Slice Black Toaster Oven as a sample to review.

I have never owned a toaster oven before. Never saw the need. I have to say, after being given this toaster oven as a sample to review, I now know what I have been missing!
After opening the box after receiving it in the mail, my initial thoughts were...this is cheap. I mean, it looked nice, very nice....but it felt cheap and the front left leg had come off during shipping. I tried to get it back on, but to no avail. I figured that once I set it on my counter that it wasn't going to be moving much so I placed the broken leg under the toaster oven and went to work!
Aside from the tray feeling cheap and only able to hold 2-3 pieces of bread, it turned out that I loved it! I was able to toast my bread to the perfect level of brown. It allowed me the opportunity to toast my sandwiches, something I had never thought of doing at home. And the kids love it because they can make their hotdogs in it. Much better tasting than doing them in the microwave!
Again, I received this as a sample to review, but I would be will willing to spend the money on this product again and would reccommend this to anyone, especially those who have never owned a toaster-oven before.

I received this as a sample to try. It is so cute ...love the retro look . It is small enough to sit on the countertop everyday and looks perfect in my kitchen . It will be nice to use during the hot summers months in So Cal. It does make a ticking sound but so does my timer. It does the job and I like it.

Works fine when you get used to it.

The overall design of the toaster is visually pleasing. However, the handle and knobs are made of a plastic that looks rather flimsy and I don't have confidence they will last.
The toaster does fine at cooking and toasting. However it took several attempts to determine how long to set the toaster. I burned several pieces of toast initially. But once you learned the timing of the timer, it should be fine.
I like the idea of the stay on feature where I can just use as a mini-oven and set a timer somewhere else in the kitchen.
However, I have not used for baking much, because the tray that comes with it is very small. It is also feels flimsy and was actually dented when I received it.
FYI - I did not buy this toaster oven, but received it as a free unit for testing/reviewing purposes.

This toaster oven has turned out to be more useful than I expected. It's great for things like toasted tuna sandwiches, buttered toast, etc. I received this oven as a sample product to review… and I'm glad I did!

Very nice mid-level toaster oven.

I think this toaster oven is a fairly good quality appliance for a mid-level toaster oven. The oven is black with silver accents with a glass door, and it came with one rack and a small metal cooking pan.
I gave it a total of 4 stars instead of 5, because it didn't toast evenly on the bottom of the toast and toasted perfectly on top of the toast I made. I used 2 slices of bread, and it was the same for both pieces. So, toasting was ok, but not as perfect as I'd like it to be.
Then, at another time, I tried baking something in the toaster oven. I took out some pre-made home made cookie dough from my freezer, and I baked 3 chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Those turned out perfect, and were cooked very evenly. I was pleased! So, I'd use this toaster oven for both making toast or baking things in it, since it did both well. However, I do feel that it does a better job at baking things in it.
There is one other thing I noticed when I made something in the toaster oven, and that was that the glass on the door fogged up, and I have not seen a toaster oven do that before. It did this whenever I toasted or cooked anything in the oven. That was a bit strange to see, but I do think that this is negligible, since it didn't seem to affect my food and the oven itself while it was cooking anything I made.
It is a useful appliance that fits well in a smaller kitchen or other space. The one thing I would like to be made better in terms of the oven itself, is the top temperature button. When you turn it to the "no temperature" dot at the top, it doesn't match up exactly, making one think the toaster oven may not be quite turned off all the way. Otherwise, it is a very nice little toaster oven for the lower range of toaster ovens and I would recommend it to someone who needs a smaller toaster oven.
Disclaimer: I received this toaster oven as a sample in exchange for an honest review.
