Purchased the same model 11/14. It died 1 month after the warrantee ran out. Only purchased a new one because it is wall mounted and I did not want to have to purchase a new face plate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good mice wave 2nd time around

We bought our microwave in 2014 and had a problem with the reheat function in 2015. So much so that it burned the food (with flames) that we had reheated. We called customer service and after coming out to look at it they determined that we needed a new microwave.
The new microwave is working perfectly, and we like it. I hope the problem is resolved because I really like the microwave. GE went above and beyond in rectifying the situation.
I would recommend this to a friend!
